Jovlund chortles Ah... she yet lives! Come! We kill the Minotaur!!

He then bursts forward toward the river at the shortest path.

Jovlund uses both moves to make it to the river bed. Which sucks cause if he were 5 feet ahead he could jump this turn and charge the next.


I moved you 12 squares (60 mv) diagonally toward the minotaur. leaves 10' on this side of river, so you get running jump over river, which can be done as a part of a charge. Acrobatics check will be DC 10 to clear

Bezni will make a full move towards Janira, also ending his turn so that he can run and jump over the river.


Emboldened by the arrival of her pupils, Janira taunts the beast. "Haha, you foul cow-tongued fool, now the full might of the Pathfinder's will be unleashed upon you! To arms brethren!"

Janira steps back from the monstrous beast she is battling, and uncoiling her trusty whip, snaps it at the creature in an attempt to steal its axe. The long leather thong lashes forth, wrapping around the axe haft...

and the minotaur promptly tears the whip from Janira's hand. He steps forward to her, and swings his broken axe at her skull...

Mike, Mutton has a +8 to jump-related Acrobatics checks because of speed, so you succeed

Mounted atop Mutton, Rukus charges the minotaur. As the feral canine lungs in to strike, the minotaur wearily swings its axe around and cleaves into Mutton. Despite the injury, Mutton stills lands a solid bite on the beast.

Bezni leaps the stream and charges, but his swing goes wide.

Jovlund follows suit, but stumbles on the jump and splashes face first into the surprisingly strong stream. He struggles to the side and drags himself out.

Jovlund Swim: 1d20 - 1 ⇒ (9) - 1 = 8

Calling on his innate luck, Renli leaps the stream then charges, swinging his longsword into the minotaur's leg.

Angered by the increased onslaught, the minotaur swings its axe at Janira and Renli, then tries to gore Bezni. It brutally cuts down Janira who collapses to the ground like a broken doll, but in its fury misses both Renli and Bezni.

damage: 2d6 + 4 ⇒ (6, 6) + 4 = 16

Axe Renli: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 1 = 4

Weary of making Jovlund's mistake, Wren and Sphyn take the log bridge across. It turns out to be very slick, and they must focus their attention on balancing to get across.

Bezni will take a five foot step to the minotaurs right. providing cover if one of the companions makes a move towards Janira

"Help her! Ill distract this beast" Bezni shouts at Renli, before bringing his Longsword down again.

Jovlund lets out a vicious battle cry, then charges the minotaur. The minotaur swings at Jovlund as he closes, catching the half-orc in the shoulder.

damage: 2d6 + 4 ⇒ (3, 1) + 4 = 8

Jovlund's charges bring him headlong into the beast as he swings his sword in return, delivering a brutal hit that causes the creature to reel back in pain.

damage: 2d6 + 7 + 3 ⇒ (6, 1) + 7 + 3 = 17

Seeing the creature distracted by Jovlund's blow, Renli makes a move for Janira, hoping he can save her. Drawing her wand of healing, he tries to recall some of the arcane language he has heard, and is able to cast a spell.

Renli use magic device: 1d20 + 7 + 2 ⇒ (20) + 7 + 2 = 29
cure light: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 1 = 3

Wren draws his crossbow and shoots at the beast, while his creature Sphyn charges in to try and bite the minotaur, but both attacks miss.

Wren Crossbow: 1d20 + 2 - 4 ⇒ (3) + 2 - 4 = 1
Sphyn Bite: 1d20 + 2 + 2 ⇒ (5) + 2 + 2 = 9

The furious minotaur, being both outnumbered and near death, turns to flee, drawing attacks of opportunity from the party.

Jovlund: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (4) + 7 = 11
Bezni: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (13) + 4 = 17 Bezni damage: 1d8 + 3 ⇒ (2) + 3 = 5
Mutton: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (16) + 2 = 18 Mutton damage: 1d6 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 1 = 3

Jovlund's swing goes wide, but Bezni's sword connects with the creature's neck as Mutton bites the it's thigh. Howling, the minotaur drops to the ground, dead!


Renli uses the wand on Janira again, granting her another chance at life.

Janira's eyes burst open as she gasps for breath. Feeling the now-closed wound on her chest, she smiles and hugs Renli. "Thank you all so much! I thought I was a goner for sure. Your timing was impeccable. And you all made it out of the caves... tell me, what did you find? Why were the gillmen going in their on the full moon? What great knowledge do you have to report to the Pathfinder Society?"

Janira eyes Bezni carefully, "You realize as a Pathfinder it is your duty to learn and discover knowledge, right? If you cannot do this, you will ultimately fail at your sworn duties. Just because you are of a warrior caste does not remove your responsibilities. Now, speak up, all of you."


Janira stares at the company, stunned. "Silence?! That's your only response?!"
