Sorry for the wall of knowledge rolls. I like to have some basic idea of what I'm supposed to know, especially since I'm running a KM of my own, just so I don't get IC and OOC knowledge mixed up.

No problem but I think you made a mistake with the one about Kalima, could you edit it?

Should be fixed. That's what I get for writing posts in GoogleDocs and just importing them over.
Arisl'arial Tathmir
I don't mean to complain, but between the time I read the thread and the time I finished a post in Google Docs, there were 14 new posts. I appreciate everyone else's enthusiasm, but if it's this fast during times there's no way for me to keep up, I won't be able to play this game.
DM_Keddah
I understand your concern and I will try to keep the plot advancement slow but right now I feel we're establishing the characters for the coming campaign I feel I shouldn't stop the others players from making posts especially if they're IC conversations among them.
I hope we can make it work for all of us.

That'd be fine with me. This scene seems played out.

Assuming the GM agrees I'll fill you in, as the lesser house tied to Paval's ring is of my own creation:

Testing at the school I work at is kicking my ass, and I cleared history, which logged me out of Paizo. I didn't notice I'd done it, so it looked like my games just weren't updating. Sorry.

Our honourable GM has control of Sprocket for things like that.
But good point.

I'm going to have to drop this game. I just don't have the time to focus on my gaming, with my work schedule and trying to find work when the school year ends, right now, and I'm sorry about that.

On board! Just awaiting a group direction. (Wonky wants to stay at the ball, so she's dithering.)

I'd assume that we all leave through the servants' entrance, if that would help to forward the story.

Out of curiosity, what gear would we reasonably be expected to have with us a such an event? For myself, I can't see Ahto strolling around a ballroom with a big sword strapped to his back, a traveling pack full of gear, and a suit of armor over his robes.
The only items I could reasonably see Ahto having with him at the moment are: his newly acquired robes, his holy symbol, the stationary set just given to him, and his dagger (worn on his belt as a gentleman's accessory).
I just wanted to make sure I clarified what was in my possession before anything does or doesn't happen!

I'd say you can carry your weapons as long as they're peace-bonded after all this was as much a social event as a show of power.
If that's the point of the event, then that would make sense. Would that include wearing armor, then?

Wonky packed her stuff, but it's awaiting her to be picked up at the Inn. She could get it tomorrow morning, of course.

Are our verbal responses considered to happen on our initiative rolls as well, or just our actions? (I have noticed different DMs handle this differently - no universal rule, it seems.)
Ahto would most likely reply to this statement, but if my initiative is dead last and talking counts, then I have to hold my tongue for the moment.
DM_Keddah
I consider things happen almost simultaneously in the round so as long as you don't get into a diatribe of a hundred words you can speak outside order of initiative.
I don't allow responses that alter the fight (telling other players the weakness of an enemy or similar) outside initiative order.
I hope it's clarified for everyone

Wonky would recommend that we attempt to capture the Taldan alive. (I know Kalima might not be so inclined.)

Did Sprocket get to have an AoA on the Taldan when he initially ran on his turn?
