Thordak Ironheart |

Seeing a multitude of images of the demon pop up all around it, Thordak rolls his eyes in frustration. "Blast! There's too many of 'em! Which one's the real one?!" He then steps up and swings multiple times with a bit more accuracy with the hope of striking the right one.

Lym Blackhand |

Lym fires a volley of magic missiles at the demon, if only to pinpoint its exact location - (Spell penetration 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (19) + 13 = 32 for 5d4 + 5 + 3 ⇒ (1, 4, 2, 2, 1) + 5 + 3 = 18 force damage) - or maybe to keep the demon's attention on her.... rather than the horror materializing behind it.
An arachnid easily the size of an elephant, its carapace carrying the putrid reek of the Abyss, the bebilith blinks its eyes against the light of the mortal world. Then they align on the dancing images of the glabrezu before it, and it starts to salivate.
Lym speaks cold, harsh-sounding words:
And the bebilith strikes!
Bebilith have Scent, so Perception to identify the real slim shady glabrezu: 1d20 + 16 ⇒ (4) + 16 = 20. Rot: Fort. DC 23 or 2 Con. damage.
Penetrating strike: bebilith natural weapons count as magical, chaotic, cold iron and good vs. demons.
Dismantle armour: If a bebilith hits a foe with both claw attacks, it can attempt to peel away the target’s armor and shield as a free action by making a CMB check. If the bebilith is successful, the target’s armor and shield are torn from his body and dismantled, falling to the ground. Armor subjected to this attack loses half its hit points and gains the broken condition if the target fails a DC 25 Reflex save. The save DC is Strength-based. Is this applicable to natural armour?

Aurora Ulfurdottir |

Head tilted as she regards the battlefield, Aurora sweeps her hands widely and gestures at her companions, and after a second's pause, at Lym's current pet as well.
Making little running motions with her fingers, she releases her spell.
Haste for everyone!

While a good idea, it won't get you through the mirror images.

Sorry, 'today' turned into 'this weekend'.
Lym: Glabrezus are not the big combat machines of demonkind, they rely more on subtlety and their ability to grant a wish.

ROUND FOUR:
The efforts of Rexil and Prima slay the hound next to Tomaru. Prima can't reach another enemy this round. Archie hacks at a demon, wounding it. Don't bother rolling if the acid won't get past the hardness.
Reggie misses the Scribbler. Jughead hits the mad druid...hard. But not as hard as he might have. The archon's greatsword rings like metal on stone as it hits.
I'm not sure how to write this, so here goes.
The archon's typical aura seems lessened somehow in this catacomb sacred to Lamashtu. Mayhap the Scribbler has some power or it's the shrine itself, either way the minions of the Scribbler do not seem affected by the celestial menace.
Thordak returns the favor, his longaxe ringing off of the Scribbler's stoneskin, but wounding him. Scribbler AC 27
A barrage of arrows from the paladin kills the remaining two hounds. They fall from the air and land with a sickening thud!.

Seeing its Original prey appear again, the bebilith focuses its attention once more on the glabrezu. Chittering eagerly, the elephant-sized arachnid lashes out at the liar-demon with full strength. Its telepathic voice crashes into the prey's mind, repeating two harsh words: "Eat it eat it eat it eatiteatiteatiteatiteatitEAT!"
Bebilith is still under Haste and moves to attack glabrezu; full attack: bite 1d20 + 20 ⇒ (5) + 20 = 25 for 2d6 + 9 ⇒ (4, 2) + 9 = 15 plus rot: Fort. DC 23 or 2 Con. damage; claw #1 1d20 + 20 ⇒ (3) + 20 = 23 for 2d4 + 9 ⇒ (3, 1) + 9 = 13; claw #2 1d20 + 20 ⇒ (1) + 20 = 21 for 2d4 + 9 ⇒ (1, 2) + 9 = 12; claw #3 1d20 + 20 ⇒ (19) + 20 = 39 for 2d4 + 9 ⇒ (3, 2) + 9 = 14 damage.
Lym curses at the magic sword bedeviling her, but flies away from the hateful thing and sights at the glabrezu. Hands moving in arcane gestures, the Wizard shapes power -- and launches three rays of searing, sizzling energy over the babau and down the glabrezu's pestilent back!
Lym flies -- already adjusted on map -- and casts Scorching ray; Ranged touch attack #1 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (13) + 8 = 21 for 4d6 + 3 ⇒ (3, 4, 5, 1) + 3 = 16 fire damage; ranged touch attack #2 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (1) + 8 = 9 for 4d6 + 3 ⇒ (2, 4, 5, 6) + 3 = 20 fire damage; ranged touch attack #3 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (13) + 8 = 21 for 4d6 + 3 ⇒ (4, 1, 2, 2) + 3 = 12 fire damage.

Aurora Ulfurdottir |

OGGM: Just for future retcon botting, Aurora will choose to cast defensively and risk wasting a spell rather than risk suffering multiple AoOs!
Gasping at her wounds and barely able to focus, Aurora summons multiple pyramids of force and throws them at the Scribbler.
force damage: 5d4 + 5 + 5 ⇒ (3, 2, 3, 3, 1) + 5 + 5 = 22
hp 2/80, spells: 6th 4/5 3rd 7/8 2nd 7/8 1st 6/8, AC 21 (25 v giants)

Aurora Ulfurdottir |

Zero drama Tomaru! It's an occupational hazard of being a glass cannon ;)

Old Guy GM |

ROUND FOUR cont'd:
The bebilith chitters in frustration as most of its attacks are foiled by the shifty druid. The final claw hits, barely getting through his defense!
vs. SR: 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (6) + 13 = 19
Lym's spell washes over the Scribbler harmlessly and he laughs mockingly.
vs. SR: 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (14) + 13 = 27
The Scribbler's eyes gleam with madness as Aurora's spell also fails to affect him! "I am the master here! You cannot harm me in the Mother's holy place!" He hacks with his fanged falchion at Thordak:
att1: 1d20 + 21 + 2 ⇒ (1) + 21 + 2 = 24
att2: 1d20 + 16 + 2 ⇒ (15) + 16 + 2 = 33 crit: 1d20 + 16 + 2 ⇒ (15) + 16 + 2 = 33 dmg: 4d4 + 22 ⇒ (4, 1, 2, 4) + 22 = 33
att3: 1d20 + 11 + 2 ⇒ (4) + 11 + 2 = 17
-33 hp Thordak
Two of the babaus attack the dwarf from behind with their longspears:

att2: 1d20 + 7 + 2 ⇒ (6) + 7 + 2 = 15

att2: 1d20 + 7 + 2 ⇒ (13) + 7 + 2 = 22
-15 hp Thordak; that new, higher AC making a BIG difference!
The last of the demons attacks Rexil, but misses!
att1: 1d20 + 12 + 2 ⇒ (5) + 12 + 2 = 19
ROUND FIVE: All of you guys go first (hounds are out); Scribbler and demons.

Praxim |

"Wanna bet?"Praxim asks grimly.

Not sure if the holy weapon property is subject to spell resistance. If not, that's 176, all bypassing DR.

Old Guy GM |

"Wanna bet?"Praxim asks grimly.
Aren't paladins supposed to say stuff like: 'thou shalt be vanquished, scion of evil', or 'evildoers! knock off all that evil!' Seems more Thordak-like than paladin-like to me.
Praxim's hands are a blur as he plies his trade - smiting evil. The arrows sink deep into the Scribbler's body, bloody points protruding from his back. He sinks to his knees, looking down at the half-buried shafts.
"B-but...I am...immortal..." Then he falls over on his face, dead.
176 damage vs. 136 remaining health. 3 babau demons left. Go get 'em.

Lym Blackhand |

The bebilith turns on the babau, great strands of reeking drool spilling from its maw as it attacks.
One attack per babau. Bite 1d20 + 20 ⇒ (15) + 20 = 35 for 2d6 + 9 ⇒ (5, 2) + 9 = 16 plus rot. Claw 1d20 + 20 ⇒ (14) + 20 = 34 for 2d4 + 9 ⇒ (2, 3) + 9 = 14. Claw 1d20 + 20 ⇒ (10) + 20 = 30 for 2d4 + 9 ⇒ (1, 3) + 9 = 13
Lym, meanwhile, flies down to Aurora and whips out a metal flask, putting it in the Sorceress' hand.
Potion of CLW for Aurora.

Jughead's instincts are to attack the Bebilith. Instead he hacks into the prone form of the Scribbler to make sure he stays down and to vent frustration.
Reggie urges Thordak to move as he tries to get to the baubau demons. "Please remove yourself from betwixt me and my hated foe, dwarf."

Thordak Ironheart |

That new, higher AC making a BIG difference!
Man you ain't kiddin'! Most assuredly.
Attacking the one 2 squares to the direct right of Thordak
Taking a quick and curious glance back at the hound archon, he actually ponders that a moment. "Ya know, he did say 'please'. That was mighty nice of 'im," he mumbles to himself as he hacks away at the demon.

Lym Blackhand |

The bebilith hisses at the archon, and whips the second babau up to its mouth. It quickly spears the third for consumption, then turns its attention to the yeth hounds ..... and freezes. Its whole body trembling, the arachnid utters a low growl, but its outline grows fuzzy, and then it starts to fade from the mortal plane.
Lym stands transfixed, hands held out towards the bebilith in a warding gesture. When the beast has vanished, her shoulders sag with exhaustion.
"I won't be calling her again in a hurry," she says. "Good gods."

Archie admonishes Lym, "You risk much dealing with such dark powers. No matter how GOOD your intentions, those beings will use them and you for evil."
Jughead stares at Lym in much the same way that Praxim is known to stare at people and things he suspects to be evil.
Reginald bows to Thordak. "I ask your pardon, dwarf. In my rush to destroy them, I did not notice that you are an ally against the onrush of evil."

Lym Blackhand |

"Trust me," Lym says, "that is not likely to happen again. I'm not full sure why it happened now...."
The Wizard's voice trails off into a note of confusion.

Thordak Ironheart |

As the last demon drops, Thordak calms and takes a moment to catch his breath.
Reginald bows to Thordak. "I ask your pardon, dwarf. In my rush to destroy them, I did not notice that you are an ally against the onrush of evil."
Unprepared for such an verbal assault, the dwarf cuts his eyes left to right in a panic. "Ummmm, yeah, sure, that's no problem. Hard ta notice such things in the thick of battle and all that... I guess. You're welcome?" he throws out there, obviously struggling with what to say. He looks over at Tomaru, mouthing the words, 'Why is he talkin' ta me?! What else am I suppose ta say, lad?! I don't know!' he says, shrugging in irritation. Looking back to the Hound Archon, an immediate, and very uncomfortable grin forms, almost as if he's in some sort of pain. After a couple more moments of silence in what feels like an eternity for the panicky dwarf, "Um... you're welcome?" he repeats, a nervous chuckle escaping.

Tomaru |

Tomaru will allow the time for his summons' to run out. They stand watch over the group for the next minute. Prima casts Cure Light Wounds as he inspects the mad druid. and the temple. They stand watch over the group for the next minute.
"You think this one is our mysterious host?"
"This is the second temple of Lamashtu that I get to consecrate. Joining you guys was the best decision I ever made."

Thordak Ironheart |

Hefting his big club, Rexil is grinning from ear to ear. "That fun!" he says. "Good fight! I do okay?"
Glad to be able to turn his attention elsewhere, "Good job, lad! Ya did good." He gives him a thumbs up. "Keep up the good work."
