Having pacified the Hook Mountain region, our heroes learn of an impending attack on the town of Sandpoint, where their adventures began only a year ago...

My intimidate is +1. Ain't gonna cut the mustard... ^^;

I'll accept Intimidate or Diplomacy. Or you could let them go. Or turn them over to the authorities.

Maybe I can get lucky with "you won't like him when he's angry" approach.

Lol! Sorry, but all this talk of putting bodies in a wagon just makes me laugh. It's not my fault you know, I blame Monty Python. :)

I'm not dead!

"Yes he is."

LOL - it's all good.

"He's almost dead."

"I'm feeling better."

On a side note - OGGM, let me know what were the magic items I found earlier, by the way when appropriate.

Oh great and kindly DM, if you had any dire wasps planned for the near future... have mercy on me and please pick something else! DX

@Alex: Did you already snag Teraktinus's stuff? For some reason I thought you did but I couldn't find it so that's why I figured I'd better go ahead.

Let me know.

LOL - yea I did. I just didn't tell anyone lest it get the Giants riled up for Kellen to be rifling through the body in front of them. It's entirely possible nobody noticed in the mess. ;-)

Male Humanly Awesome 'n Totally Rockin' Paladin of Greatness

HA! Perfect! That'll work.

Argh, 3rd laptop to die on me this year!

*rages*

Apparently the motherboard has filed a restraining order against the hard drive's partition table

*sighs*

Should be able to borrow one tomo :s

Sorry to hear that - been having PC troubles at home as well. I'm in the midst of re-formatting three desktop units.

Ok, so its laid out for you. Its up to you all to make this happen. There is a map Ive added to the spoiler 'Maps and Things' that shows your route. Prepare accordingly, you have 3 days max.

Considering computers are supposed to be the most logical things in the world, I swear they have personalities and just don't behave!

So turns out the SSD has died a horrible and unrecoverable death, not too much lost as I do try to back up regularly, but hey ho. Most importantly have another machine again now to use for posting with :p

Male Workaholic, level 10

Good to hear. Having worked on computers a long time, it does seem like they develop "quirks", if not personalities all their own. So, not an unusual observation I would say. ;-)

Quick FYI. It's a holiday weekend here in the US, but I'll be working all weekend. Trade-off is that I will probably be posting minimally from 9/14-9/21 if at all.

Back from holiday weekend. Will get into it soonish.

All giant sized:
+2 hide armor
+1 dwarf bane heavy pick
+1 light pick
ring of protection +1

Male Humanly Awesome 'n Totally Rockin' Paladin of Greatness

Okay, we must destroy the dwarf bane heavy pick. Burn, melt, obliviate, whatever word you wanna use. :)

@Lym: I could use my Longaxe with some Bane(Giant) property. Wait a minute, never mind. That takes 6 days.

Nope then, I'm good. Let's roll.

Grand Lodge

That should have been....

All giant sized:
+2 hide armor
+1 dwarf bane heavy pick
+1 light pick
ring of protection +1

Do we sell them? Do we get normal prices for them?

I have searched everywhere for anything that states whether magic items will resize themselves. I couldn't find anything in the rules, but a common theme on the boards is that they do. So...my rule at the table (and here) is they do.

You are welcome.

Unless we get a special rate, assuming we follow the standard rates for selling:

+2 Hide Armor: 4,165 x 1/2 = 2,082gp
+1 Dwarf-Bane Heavy Pick: 24,315 x 1/2 = 12,157gp
+1 light pick: 2,304 x 1/2 = 1,152gp
+1 Ring of Protection: 2,000 x 1/2 = 1,000gp

Unless someone is claiming something, that brings the total to 16,931gp or 2,731gp to each person.

If that is the case, then change it accordingly to:

+2 Hide Armor: 4,165 x 0.6 = 2,499gp
+1 Dwarf-Bane Heavy Pick: 24,315 x 0.6 = 14,589gp
+1 light pick: 2,304 x 0.6 = 1,382gp
+1 Ring of Protection: 2,000 x 1/2 = 1,200gp

Revised amount is 19,670gp or 3,278gp to each person.

Deep breaths. More color than anything, although they are serious in their request.

Plenty of opportunity, Lym, to summon all kinds of help later - you will need it.

I'm working on the Thistletop post now.

So and so. I hope I did that justice. I debated for a long time whether we should play that whole encounter out, but in the end, I knew it wasn't going to be a fight at all, and so I went with what - I hope - was a dramatic exposition. EDIT: Also, I specifically left the action such as it was to Praxim, Lym, and Tomaru (Dax), because this was about closure for them.

As far as the Shalelu/Ameiko thing, I try to make my games feel like there's always more going on in the world than the heroes. You guys are destined to be ridiculously powerful, but right now you are not quite there. At the risk of being very passe': 'with great power comes great responsibility'.

Lym, no word yet on the Manor. It wouldn't hurt to get someone with some connections on your side to relate to the legal eagles in Magnimar...hint! It's a nobleman's house, although a minor one, you are a commoner, etc etc. Red tape stuff. In the end, money and power talks, and you will have plenty of that.

Crazy busy this week, bear with me - although i think Aurora just annihilated them...

Hello all -

Was out of commission for most of the week, but now I'm back.

Looks like not much for me to do otherwise. ;-)

Carry on.

Grand Lodge

- 3,306 sp
- carved mammoth bone statuette of a much smaller mammoth worth 700 gp
- eye patch with a mock eye of black star sapphire and moonstone worth 900 gp
- mithral anklet worth 1,000 gp
- jeweled gold crown worth 4,000 gp
- bladed scarf +2, defending
- potions of cure moderate wounds x7
- potion of remove disease
- efficient quiver Praxim
- arrow +1, undead bane x16 Praxim x5
- arrow of greater slaying (monstrous humanoid) Praxim

Kellen is the only other one who uses a bow. Want some of those undead bane arrows?

Male Humanly Awesome 'n Totally Rockin' Paladin of Greatness

HA! I just noticed that we rolled a 1, 2, and 3 naturally. That's pretty funny. Truly some epic failed rolling. At least Lym can cover hers up some with the big +17. There's just no hiding Thordak's patheticness.

Rune of razing
Rune of resistance

Does anyone want one of these badly enough that I should get the feat Inscribe Rune at some point?

Ditto. I vote no.

How about Scribe Magical Tattoo, allowing me to make Protection from Evil-tattoos? They'd be single-use, but still... if we meet another mindbender...

Also, on the subject of tattood Runes, this. 0_0

F/R/W: +25/+23/+22 AC/T/FF: 33/19/26; CMD: 36; Perc: +22; Init: +9; Max HP: 179; Current HP: 168; Temp 0;

Magical tattoos are way cool. They're like potions, with better action economy and more variety of spell effects.

Female Half-Orc Evoker 10/Cyphermage 6; Init. +2; Perception +12; Darkvision; Arcane Sight; Fly 40 ft.; AC 23 (+3 Dex*, +1 armour, +1 Deflection, +1 natural, +3 Mage Armour, +4 Shield); HP 91/104; Fort +9, Ref +8, Will +16

So, a feat to add to the list for my next selection:
Improved Iron Will
Inscribe Magical Tattoo
Intensified Spell
Yeah, I'll probably go for the Tattoo-feat if enough people are interested in getting a spell inked onto them. They're not TOO expensive; scroll scribing x 4. ^_^ Look forward to my taking appropriate skill ranks...!

skills:

Ah now, Aurora is a big fan of tattoos so you'll find no disagreement here! Also, runes are awesome but wowsers expensive!!

Also just to say I am currently in Auckland on a training course and the WiFi in the hotel is rather less than stellar :/

Should be able to continue posting via phone but please forgive any brevity!

Hello - my apologies for being rather quiet. Had a family emergency that's had me occupied for about 10 days; then we have been prepping for Hurricane Matthew this week.

Looks all good for our area, but if there's a sudden outage, that's likely the reason.

I'll be getting back into step as much as I can today.
