I'm told I am going to be fuzzy for the next few days, if not a week or two, and I don't want to be the one who holds everything up. I am going to be hard pressed just to keep up with all my campaigns considering I have been sleeping off and on for 20 hours at a time. Four hours of awake does not an easy keep up make.

Bucket, you are suppose to MAKE UP a back story in an RPG not just tell us where you really came from in real life.

I did use HeroLab. But I am so freaking noob I probably did all kinds of bad things. Can you explain what Armor as DR and Vitaly/Wounds option is?
Ok, I found the setting. I did have them checked. I believe that is part of the ultimate fighting handbook. I am going to read up on that.. more later...
... Ok, read up on Damage Reduction and Vitality/Wound points. Fixed profile.. Thanks for the heads up.

Yes, 3 total traits. You will need all the help you can get for the terrible denizens I have planned for you all...

Quote:water shamanS&S is like one of the only adventures where you get the chance to choose a shark or alligator as an animal companion:) Not that you have to! Great character concept.
YOUR UNIFYING BACKSTORY SUGGESTION:
Each of you came to Port Peril for you own reasons seeking "a pirate's life for me." While inquiring about employment you were each accosted by an horror of a man who called himself Mr. Plugg. This man promised you a job on board the Wormwood, a pirate ship of ill repute. But only if you helped him and his goons free their captain: the mighty pirate lord Barnabas Harrigan, who was recently captured by the government of Cheliax. You ambushed the prison transport bound for the City and sprung the captain. Now sitting here pounding ale at the Formidably Maid (a wonderful drunken pirate dive in Port Peril) Harrigan himself is about to offer you the promised posts aboard his vessel. That's right, no passing out and waking up as slaves. Most of you have 'been there, done that.'
This sound good?
Kaz:
Kaz is a gambler and scoundrel. He likes to drink, fight, and spend his money as soon as he makes it. Recently debts have grown to the need to get out of dodge level. He has lived in Port Peril all his life. You would have met him in a dive bar and found him to be friendly ,helpful, and looking to join up on a crew ASAP

I'd be totally interested; I started playing this game before, but the GM had to quit for family reasons.
I made a Gunslinger/Bard type; is there any chance he could find a home on board this ship with you guys?
If so, please let me know!
I'd be adjusting my stats a bit to go back to 1st, but I'd be really hyped to play.
If it was possible, I'd also like to maybe try the Swashbuckler class with a bit of tweaks.
Horatio is a bit of a rogue and scoundrel.
He grew up in Sargava; his father died before he was born, and his mother was a minor priestess, but she died when he as fairly young. Raised by his uncle, he went to the Sargavan naval academy and during the summer's worked with him as a fisherman and a logger in the winter semester break.
He always longed for something truly special, and was eager to have something greater in life. But as a commoner, he knew that he would never achieve greatness unless he seized life by the throat and took from it what he could.
He didn't know his companions well, until he was forced to rescue Harrigan. During the fray he formed only the kind of bond that men form when they bleed with each other in the act of life or death situations.
More details on his personality can be found under under his "Theme Song" under the link.
Again, I'd really be excited to play this campaign :)

Here is my were-cat alchemist. All I haven't done is a feat and I might buy a little more equipmentm if i think of anthing i am missing
Couple of questions:
Do you mind me taking two archetypes?
They do not clash as per the rules, and I think make since together. One is about studying the internals of other animals and the other about studying the internals of myself.
I have taken the "highlander trait" becuase I was thinking it adapt to a "Jungle Tribesman trait" that does not exist by exchanging references the Hills and Mountains to Jungle and Swamp. Are you alright with this?
I have taken the touched by the sea trait and it probably needs a little flavour rewrite to make sense.

Like you have the were-creature template? Or you just took the catfolk race and rewrote some fluff?

Ix Chal, I like your cat-folk concept; a lot of the newer races have a very unique feel for water or sea-going adventures. It seems fairly cool :)
I also like the idea of having DR and Vitality; it reminds me of the Star Wars games (for those who ever played them); and I think a lot of Star Wars is a perfect merger into a pirate game, too.
Right now I had planned on going with a fighter/skill monkey type, but I'm flexible for whatever the party needs, if openings are still available.

Shadowyfox, when you post your character you are welcome aboard too, but please do it soon:)
Initially I will be pacing the GM posts to match Bucket's post rate because he is a new player.
Also, as I've said before, expect deviation from the AP.

Bucket, hit the little button 'SHOW' next to 'how to format text' right below [dice=the submit box.]1d6 It shows most of the tricks in all their blazing glory
Yeah I had done that.. but when I tried with dice I didn't realize it calculated for you. I thought it was just another wrapper.. so when I wanted to say 1D20(13) + BAB(1) + STR(5) = 19 it came out as one giant hexidecimal calculation.
But now I know how to use them. Thanks guys!
