If you read way down in that guide it tells you to train a T-Rex when you hit level 6! T-Rex is a CR 9

Wow thanks for the links that's a big help.

Cool I don't really like pets anyway.

Please know this will be my first Pahtfinder druid and my first heavy caster period.

Sorry rough weekend for me.

Male Dwarf Druid. Boar as a pet. I will have the druid focus on casting buffs and support.

What is the best way to do healing with a Druid? Use about half my slots for healing spells or is there a feat that will let me spontaneously cast healing maybe?

I'm trying to get the gamethread read ASAP.

I'm thinking of doing a dwarven Druid. I'll throw up a concept soon.

Hey all your GM plays in 3 of my games and told me you had a character opening.

I am definatally interested. Sounds like you need a healer? I'm leaning towards Druid. Let me read the gameplay thread and see how I may fit in.

With your approval of course.

Is using piecemeal armor rules from the ultimate combat book cool?

What about starting equipment.. keep it sane and common sense?

Max Fighter GP is what he said.

I'm gonna get a character up ASAP.

Gonna go ahead and call dibs on fighter. Unless of course you buddy wants to start with one.

I don't want another carrion crown where we have 2 two hand fighters a great sword ranger and a cleric with a two hander as well! Lol

I would throw my hat into the ring as well

No clue what I'll play.

Wow guys I cant believe you are still recruiting for this...

Not trying to be crappy or anything but wow.

Shouldn't break it much more than if I had a 20 with weapon focus and Power attack. Or was say a spell caster or a Paladin. Now if I had gone ranger with two weapon combat.... well that would be bad with this strength and power attack.

Yea I guess I dont have room to talk. I asked for premission to use a largre size warhammer(Earthbreaker) If anyone would have a 5 Cha it would be an Orc around humans right?

I am running a Leagacy of Fire right now and I allowed any race and class as well. I took 7 players and there was some issues with combat being too easy. I solved it with doubling all encounters and giving everything the advanced template. So thats where my head was at when I made that comment.

Gur,

Personally I am worried that a 22 str at first level is going to break the game. Of course I am not the gm so not my call.

orcs are kinda called out special in the players guide is all. Plus I have an interesting idea for one anyway.

Yea you are right. My comments were not directed towards you playing an Orc at all. I just want to play a stone man is all. Lol

We invited 2 others but we are not sure if they will even be able to play. So your guess is as good as ours.

I know night shade wanted to start this because our other game was sputtering due to life issues of the players preventing them from posting.

Id just post up your idea and see what happens. Maybe PM night shade with your character concept. He is way more about telling the story then fiddly combat stats.

Man if your allowing any race I kinda want to do an Oread. Only because I'm obsessed with the Thing really. I don't want to get too wierd though.

I believe im settled on a dwarven cleric. He will have a high str for melee and focus on buffing and healing. Gonna worship Caden. I like my characters to crack jokes and not be too serious. This guy will get along with anyone.

I am one of the players with a reserved spot by the way.

Yea it's an idea but i'm not real excited about it... What is everyone else doing?

How horror fantasy can we go?

What do you think of a skeletal knight cursed to undeath for past deeds? Play him melancholy and lamenting for his deeds. He would be quick to sacrafice himself for others. Im not sure what direction to go in the way of spells is all.

Sounds like this system was made for pbp. Ill play if i can come up with a cool character.

I would be intrested.

I have been looking into trying my first PBP game and I think this would be a good place to start with only being required to post 5+ times a week.

Please consider me even though I do not have a large posting history.

VEIL...I like it its simple and will keep the action going.

I just ran across these and I'm bad at riddles. Can anyone give me the answers?

I have done similar things like this running games for my wife in the past. It creates a big problem just taking the ability's away or asking them to restart. Try to come up with an in game curse or something of that nature to "Nerf" her and slowly give her those ability's back.

If she did not come up with a back story of her own then you can do it for her. I know next to nothing about gargoyles but maybe she committed a crime and she is found and punished further with magic. Maybe she is not a gargoyle at all but merely looks like one.

I feel like there could be some compromise in game here. Since she dropped some major ability's and did not make a fighter type it may be more of a role-playing choice then you think.

Thanks for doing this!

I feel its very helpful and fun to read how other DM's are running the campaign.

Keep the updates comming please.

1 person marked this as a favorite.

If its for roleplaying purposes let him do whatever he wants. If it gets too wierd it was done with magic.

If it is for a game bonus tell him no.

My group is always 2 PC's and me. One of the PC's is my wife. In my opinion the less players you have the more power you can give them and the more rules you can and need to break.

You do need to be very carefull with the GM-PC who is "very optimized" where as she is "semi-optimized". You can really overshadow your only player and turn her off from the game if you are not carefull.

Also I would suggest try to let her make all the decisions on her own good or bad. If not she will feel like a spectator not the Main character. Ask me how I know....
