I had delayed. I think that would let me squeeze in before Crowe.
I'm guessing Aubrey chose a barbarian so he could smack things. Charge to I11. Attack G1.
Crowe charges in regardless of Zasha's negotiations.

Retcon: It appears I have placed Ana too far back to see, so can I adjust her position to where she has line of sight to G2? Her readied action will be to shoot if he takes hostile action against the party.
Yeah, that's fine.
Oh, I appear to have a choice of actions or Crowe! mwahahahha It's a shame that didn't crit....
As everyone tries to Calm the situation, Crowe charges in, flattening the guard with one might blow of his hammer.
The second guard looks around a bit dazed, and then valiantly moves to defend his friend.
G2 charges to J12 to attack crowe.

I believe Alivar should be able to charge to J11 from his current position – and will do so.
Holding his one-eyed sword with both hands, Alivar rushes forward to stand beside Crowe, slashing at the guard who attacked his companion.

Zasha raises her blades. " A move, a spell and I strike."
Ready action to strike if he doesn't stay still and talk.

As everyone tries to Calm the situation, Crowe charges in, flattening the guard with one might blow of his hammer.
You DMPC action was entirely in keeping.
"RAAAH!" Buoyed by his success with the first guard, Crowe swings at the second.
What the hell, let's RAGE! I'll throw in an elemental strike as well for extra damage.
Attack 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (5) + 7 = 12 to hit, damage 2d6 + 9 + 3 ⇒ (2, 5) + 9 + 3 = 19 plus 1d6 ⇒ 3 electricity damage.
He's applying power attack damage as well, but his Furious Focus feat means he doesn't take the penalty to hit on his first attack each round.
Pfft! Normal dice-throwing service is resumed.

Crowe flies into furious rage, unfortunately this causes him to swing far wide of the intended target.
Folloch blinks a couple of times as he regains control of his actions, then finishes reading his scroll and mutters a few words. As he does so the scrolls flakes into powder and drops from his hands. He also takes the change to move away from his attacker to the safety of his guard.

So I don't get the readied attack?
Sorry, thought you'd readied it on him attacking... yes.
As Folloch finishes his spell, Zasha's blow falls. He curses, but continues his actions.
As Anna and her wolf move forward, the remaining guard attempts to defend himself from Crowe's blows.

Leryn's posture relaxes and the wolf settles back on his haunches. He gives a big toothy yawn and pants as the excitement of the fight leaves him.
Ana's face relaxes and she takes a deep breath as she allows her bow and arrow to point down at the ground.
Both of them are focused on something in the man's gestures.

Alivar moves up behind Folloch. The map doesn’t appear to be updated, but I think I’m in J11 and Folloch is in J14. I should be able to move up behind him into K14, flanking with Zasha.
“Surrender Folloch!” calls Alivar, pointing his sword at Folloch’s back. Ready an action to attack Folloch if he does anything except surrender or negotiate.

"You should hope that I bring you down," Zasha announces as she stabs at Folloch with both blades.

This should be entertaining.

Zasha slashes forwards with her swords, good to her word although only her primary hand manages to get a solid blow.
Almost simultaneously Crowe steps in and finishes the job. The priest falls to the ground dead.
From roughly 50% HP to negative con in two blows. Nicely done!
As he hits the ground, the rod seems to shift form from the ornate gold thing you saw before to a simple iron one.

Are our fascinated companions back to normal now that Folloch’s down?
“Well,” says Alivar, “It doesn’t do much good to call for a fellow’s surrender if one’s companions strike him down before he has a chance to respond, now does it?” He scratches absently at one of his thick eyebrows with his thumb as he looks down at Folloch’s corpse and the rod. “It was my thought that we were here to retrieve – or at least investigate the truth of – a magical golden rod, not kill a Razmiri priest. Now that doesn’t look much like a golden rod nor a magical one, and unless one of us can speak to the dead, we’re no longer likely to get answers out of Folloch.”
He sighs. “If the guards live, and it is in our power to do so, perhaps we should save them. They took Folloch’s money, but we don’t know if they share his ideology … perhaps they know something about the rod though.”
He crouches down to examine the now seemingly iron rod.

They are lying on the ground, the heal check above would tell you more.

The rod looks like what you would understand a magical rod would look like. It's the right size, shape and it has markings that look magical. It's just no longer the spectacular golden specimen it was before.

Ana Winter |

Ana and Leryn both shake their heads as the spell's effects wear off. Ana scowls at the fallen priest as she stows her bow and arrows. "What happened?"
Leryn growls in momentary defiance for a moment before laying down at Ana's feet and effecting a huge toothy yawn. He doesn't take his eyes off of the fallen priest or his guards.
If it appears she can assist, she will move up to aid the priestess in stabilizing the guards.

As her senses return, Alahazra will do what she can to stabilise the guards.
(If she can take 10 she will get 15 on the heal checks). She will then peer over Alivar's shoulder to cast detect magic and examine the rod.[dice=Spellcraft]1d20 + 4
Yes, no problem taking 10
Alahazra tends to the guards and within a few minutes they are awake and sat up on the ground.
"What happened, who are you?" say the first one, the other just sits with his head in his hands.
After a few moments, a few of the towns folks appear around the side of the house. They seem a little confused, and when they see what happened, a few rush to the guards to check on them.
