Shambling out of the dark are 5 skeletons.
Lou Perception 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (7) + 6 = 13DID NOT MAKE IT
Those with Darkvision or made the perception check may act during the surprise round. Valdric your Readied shot will go off as your action in the surprise round (still got to draw the xbow for free)The skeletons action will be to move into 15 feet of the party 1 move will get any of them into melee with any one of you
Initiative
Skeletons 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (17) + 6 = 23
Espy 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (2) + 4 = 6
Impy 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (7) + 4 = 11
Grung 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (5) + 3 = 8
Lou 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (1) + 2 = 3
Valdric 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (14) + 4 = 18
Skeletons have a higher score on average. They will act first then the entire party-yes this is a homebrew rule I use for PbP combat.
TO SUM UP
Impy, Grung have surprise actions to make, Valdirc fired a xbow at the closest skeleton. Then Skeletons will act, then the ENTIRE party acts in any order they post in.

Impatiens Pallida |

She throws her pilum: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (1) + 3 = 4 for 1d8 + 4 ⇒ (3) + 4 = 7 modified by the the fact they are skellies and that she totally missed them.
Impy swears in
She isn't raging, yet
With a start she remembers that not everyone speaks Infernal, even though they ought to.
"Five skellies comin' "

MiniGM |

yea sorry lou!
Valdric's bolt slams into the lead Skeleton shattering the bolt as well as a couple of ribs. It keeps coming
Impy's Pilum flies high and rebounds off the ceiling.
Taking a liberty here, Grung will fire his bow during the surprise
1d20 + 6 ⇒ (3) + 6 = 9 Damage 1d8 + 3 ⇒ (8) + 3 = 11
Wait he said he had his morning star out...ah well I rolled it, my mistake will Grung, you just got a free draw of your morningstar.
The lead skeleton moves directly into Grung's face and swipes it's claws. Another moves on Lou, a second on Lou and one each on the rest of you.
Lou
1d20 + 2 ⇒ (15) + 2 = 17 for 1d4 + 2 ⇒ (4) + 2 = 6 the claws rake across lous face leaving a deep gash.
1d20 + 2 ⇒ (10) + 2 = 12 for 1d4 + 2 ⇒ (4) + 2 = 6 A claw catches Lou in the side he collaspses unconscience AC 12 since you failed the perception correct? If that is wrong then this attack misses.
Grung
1d20 + 2 ⇒ (5) + 2 = 7 for 1d4 + 2 ⇒ (2) + 2 = 4 misses wide
Valdric
1d20 + 2 ⇒ (5) + 2 = 7 for 1d4 + 2 ⇒ (2) + 2 = 4 rebounds off the mage armor
Impy
1d20 + 2 ⇒ (13) + 2 = 15 for 1d4 + 2 ⇒ (3) + 2 = 5 Clangs off Impy's armor
Espy
1d20 + 2 ⇒ (9) + 2 = 11 for 1d4 + 2 ⇒ (2) + 2 = 4 Gets tangled in it's own ribs.
[ooc] ok heroes make short work of them. Note that Lou is down I believe. One of the two on lous has been injured.

Lou Kasuri |

Actually Lou dropped in the surprise round so since he is flat footed then no attack of oppurtunity
On his init Lou will bleed in the most manly way as possible
HP -3 / 9
DC13 stabilize check 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 1 = 3
make that HP -4 / 9

Valdric |
Seeing a companion fall, Valdric swears under his breath as the skeleton attacks. I have to get to him, but if I turn my back on this thing it'll rake me for sure. Very unsure of his melee 'prowess', Valdric attempts to make quick work of the skeleton.
Free Action: drop crossbow
Move Action: ready quarterstaff
Attack action: 1d20 - 1 ⇒ (18) - 1 = 17 for 1d6 - 1 ⇒ (4) - 1 = 3 damage.
if possible without drawing an AOO, Valdric will attempt to take a 5' step closer to Lou
"Help get this thing off me so I can help him!"

Impatiens Pallida |

Impy attacks her skelly:
1d20 + 5 ⇒ (1) + 5 = 6 for 2d6 + 6 ⇒ (5, 1) + 6 = 12 as modified by the fact it's slashing.
She's having accuracy problems, isn't she?
I'm obsessing about my weight too much, it's ruining my concentration

Valdric |
"Man down....somebody heal him up.....We got this!"
not sure I'd we're up to round 2 actions, but .....
Valdric knows the front line is not where he can best serve his companions, so as soon as the group shifts around for coverage he disengages with the skeleton heads over to where Lou has fallen.
Move action: get to Lou.
Action: Use CLW wand to heal for 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (6) + 1 = 7
MiniGM |

Espy whips the injured skeleton.
1d4 + 2 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 2 + 1 = 4 There is a terrible scraping sound as the whip's blade scrapes across the skeletons bones.
The wounded skeleton moves up to espy standing on Lou's unconscience body, unleashing a flurry of claws
1d20 + 2 ⇒ (17) + 2 = 19 for 1d4 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 1 = 4 a long gash opens over Espy's eye
1d20 + 2 ⇒ (17) + 2 = 19 for 1d4 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 1 = 3 another opens along the side of his neck.
The other lays into Impy
Espy whips the injured skeleton.
1d20 + 2 ⇒ (4) + 2 = 6 for 1d4 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 1 = 3
1d20 + 2 ⇒ (15) + 2 = 17 for 1d4 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 1 = 5 Long rents appear across Impy's chest
dude these skeletons have monster dice-fu!

MiniGM |

Our heroes are up!
Valdric braves the skeleton and heals Lou for 7 HP. Lou awakens and finds that he has a skeleton standing over him going to rule that you are both squeezing now, you can take a move action to roll out of the way, it will not provoke or you can strike from teh ground.

Valdric |
Once he sees the healing magic bring Lou back to the land of the conscious, Valdric rolls away to let the monk deal with the creature. Seeing the new bloody wounds on both Espy and Impy, he makes a quick judgement call and head toward Impy and looks for an opening to use the wand again.
"Somebody tell THEM theyre just skeletons!"

Lou Kasuri |

Lou opens his eyes only to see the boney body atanding over him.
a quick glance around to discover that the others are still in the fight.
all Lou can think of is defending himself and removing the threat.
in a defense manuever Lou grabs the the skeleton to attempt to grapple the creature.
Using combat Expertise and grapple attempt grapple attempt: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (14) + 4 = 18

MiniGM |

Edit, Espy just killed the one over Lou. Also I seem to have made a mistake somewhere. I seem to have lost a skeleton...one is still on Impy. I will put the other on Grung.
Grung's Skeleton attacks
1d20 + 2 ⇒ (2) + 2 = 4 for 1d4 + 2 ⇒ (4) + 2 = 6
1d20 + 2 ⇒ (8) + 2 = 10 for 1d4 + 2 ⇒ (2) + 2 = 4
As does Impy's
1d20 + 2 ⇒ (8) + 2 = 10 for 1d4 + 2 ⇒ (3) + 2 = 5
1d20 + 2 ⇒ (6) + 2 = 8 for 1d4 + 2 ⇒ (2) + 2 = 4
The flurry of claws ends and our heroes are stunned that no one was touched.
Finish them Heroes
Valdric maneauvers near Impy and heals him
1d8 + 1 ⇒ (8) + 1 = 9 healed

Lou Kasuri |

did lou grapple the skeleton or not?
if not then Lou whould relocate to go after a different skeleton
Lou manuvers to flank the skelton on Impy and a quick Jab to the skeleton passes through the boney rib cage with no effect.
attack roll: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (7) + 4 = 11

MiniGM |

Espy All you do to trip is make a CMB roll. If it is higher than the CMD then you trip him. If you are in range of a threatening defender then a trip attempt will provoke an AOO unless you have Improved Trip as a feat. I will use your to hit roll, and not the second one
Espy sends his whip snapping out and wraps it around the leg of Grung's skeleton and it topples to the ground
Grung's skeleton immediately tries to stand
1d20 + 4 ⇒ (14) + 4 = 18 for 1d8 + 5 ⇒ (4) + 5 = 9 Grung shatters the skeleton into a thousand bits
The other skeleton continues it's assault on Impy
1d20 + 2 ⇒ (17) + 2 = 19 for 1d4 + 2 ⇒ (2) + 2 = 4
1d20 + 2 ⇒ (19) + 2 = 21 for 1d4 + 2 ⇒ (2) + 2 = 4
Long rents open up on her neck. that might drop Impy, cant see her HP easily
Kill it!

Valdric |
Absolutely agree, thanks for the 'bot!
With a deep exhale of relief, Valdric watches as the tiefling's wounds close when the hex takes affect. He quickly scans the battlefield to see where else he is needed.
If I have a move action left I will move over to the person who looks the most at risk of dropping next.
