*Nods*
And it's Silver. =)
(One of my favorite loot drops was a Gold Lions Figurine. That was on a character who was forcibly ejected from the game via Asmodeus abduction.)

I, know :), I just wanted to prolong the agony.
By the other hand, what the raven can do seems to be very restricted
Korak Fists of Fury
Jorriko, you got any idea of what features you're getting next? I'd suggest the Shadow Clone Ninja Trick and maybe a domain. but I'm not sure how much your cleric levels cost.
Personally... I think I'll leave fatigue Immunity for later and then get that archetype druid's ability that allows them to detect half the bestiary... lol. Stern Gaze and Detect Alignment would be cool too... Hmmm... Maybe that Barkskin Ki Power? My CL would be delayed 1 level, but it'd still scale quite nicely...

A little bit restricted, yeah. I added it because A.) I figured you guys might like a way to send long range communications in a pinch, and B.) It seemed like the kind of thing a warehouse like that would have in it (a lot of art pieces, maybe some jewelry and specialty items).
Korak Fists of Fury
back in the base...
"I'm guessing our client already knows how our mission went by now. I don't think we need to visit him, I'm sure someone in the Mandrigal will collect our payment for us. I'm thinking we should be more discreet and never again customers while using our real faces. In fact, I suggest we use mask under the illusion of the Hat of Disguise, just so no mage with magic eyes learns our identity... Also it think it's time that we create a few code words/phrases... For safety. One so we know we can always be sure we are in fact talking to each other, another so we know we've been captured and the person in front of you is an impostor and another one so we can communicate that we are being observed... We should probably change these words every week or something like that."
Korak then turns to Jorriko and continues to speak.
"Jorriko, any suggestions? You're the shadowy guy of the team, after all. By the way... you should probably get a Hat of Disguise like the ones Jo and me got."
BTW, I'm be travelling back home tomorrow... So I'm not sure I'll be able to post. :(
Korak Fists of Fury
"Can't we use the base configuration to make a lead-lined room?"
Can we?
Korak Fists of Fury
Good... Hmmm... We should probably do the same with our rooms. Or even the whole base. No one likes peeping toms... ^^
Rynjin
Lemme check, it took you guys like 3 months on this one so I forgot. =p
Three major player sin particular are practically wetting themselves in fear, and we think at least one of them is planning to do something to cover their own ass. Something that could get them caught, and we need them. Missions come through these guys, and without them it will be hard going getting word of new jobs out there.
The three guys' names follow:
Petrucho Alfingore, a Halfling merchant that moonlights as one of our contacts for people who want us to steal or retrieve certain objects.
Talfindere Yaf'bul, an Elven minor lord who dabbles in assassinations, either arranging them or on occasion carrying them out himself. Likewise, many Assassination jobs come through this source, as well as the odd Kidnapping or body guarding position.
Uruk Julka, a Half-Orc dock master. He's one of our premiere legbreakers, and has control of a fair number of our enforcers and is commonly known to handle and parcel out Collection jobs and the like. He in particular is being watched closely, and he's near the breaking point. We think he's going to try and take matters into his own hands, and likely violently.
We need these people alive, out of prison, and on our side. I trust you guys can handle this one?
Reward: 500 gold, and a Page of Spell Knowledge (level 2)
You finished Petrucho's thing, there's two parts left to this mission.
Jorriko Krail
Shadows do not disguise themselves as anything... They simply are. To master the art of stealth, one does not blend with the shadow, they become it.
may I trade channel for sneak attack? I planned for a wis based channel, and wasted some resource to that end. In fact, my entire build plan has been lost and I'm not sure where I was going. I want to start from scratch but keep the same flavor if I may.
Jo.
The next day I guess
I take 10 for a 25 in the gather information about the elf. I use a mas as Korak recommended, and never use my true face.
Korak Fists of Fury
"Shadows do not disguise themselves as anything... They simply are. To master the art of stealth, one does not blend with the shadow, they become it."
Korak scratches the back of his head, then replies to Jorriko.
"Yeah... Well, shadows don't have faces to be recognized either. You do. And we shouldn't be recognized except in the moments we want to be. We are not exactly city-approved entrepreneurs..."
Also, I take 10 on Stealth (total 23) to follow Jo (I let her know I'm around, so she can tell em if she needs helps, preferably using our new code words). Always disguised as "Random Peasant #8462" and with a mask under the illusory disguise, just in case. Walking around alone is not safe.
Rynjin
Jo doesn't really find out much about the man you don't already know. He's personally a formidable enemy (though not to the extent you guys are, perhaps), and is the main source for Assasination contracts the Mandrigal gets around these parts. He has his own network of spies that lurk around the city, and when they catch wind that someone wants someone else dead (and is serious about it), they contact the prospective client.
If they accept, he passes it on to the Mandrigal who puts it on the Board to be carried out by a skilled assassin.
He has the perfect social position to do this from, a minor nobleman, powerful enough that the common folk (and the Guard) dare not investigate him without concrete proof of any wrong doing, but beneath the notice of the more powerful lords and ladies of the city.
The problem he's having now is that the Obsidian Guard cares nothing for his supposed immunity, and if they catch even a whiff of Mandrigal connection from people who could conceivably be important to them, they follow it like bloodhounds.
Korak Fists of Fury
If Breaking Bad taught me anything, is that "secret" meetings can be done in plain sight without any problem... But that only works if none of the participants is being watched. Besides, it's not as fun. :)
Jo.
lets just go. We use the mask and the hat of disguise. Jo and Korak talk ot the guy, Jorriko is nearby seeking for any spy or something
Korak Fists of Fury
Hmm... I suppose. Surprising him in his own house should be a good way to convince him of our skills.
Korak Fists of Fury
Good. This way Rynjin will be happy to see his hand-crafted loot put to use!
Rynjin
Yay!
The group sends the raven with a missive, asking for a meeting. A few hours later, he sends the raven back.
Very well. I assume this is in regards to recent events concerning our mutual acquaintances? Meet at a bistro in the Upper Quarter called the Mockingbird.
Seat one of your number at a table alone. The two remaining may place yourselves wherever you wish.
Order something, all of you if you like, but especially the one at the table. I've been told you are new to the business. Do try to act natural.
Someone will be along shortly to discuss matters with you, and will seat themselves across from you. He will show you a signal. You'll know it when you see it.
P.S. The blueberry scones are delicious, do try one.
~Shadowmaster
Korak Fists of Fury
"Well... That was easy. I say Jo handles the negotiation. I'll stand by her side as a bodyguard of sorts, so the guy doesn't try anything funny. Jorriko, you should probably stay somewhere close enough to see us and come to our aid if necessary, but otherwise stay unnoticed. It's always nice to have a secret weapon if things go south. Besides, this way you can watch for trouble that we might miss from our position. What do you guys think?"
Korak Fists of Fury
So... What do you guys think of my idea?
Jo.
Agreed
Jo goes as a Milf Elf woman dressed With a small Tigh black dress that have an intricate golden dragon knitted all over it. Her hair is long and black, her eyes are green and her shoes are plain (no heels).
Before entering I cast shield on myself and detect magic.
Korak Fists of Fury
Jo goes as a Milf Elf woman
So... A Melf?
Korak uses a plain mask over his face, then activates his hat to create an illusion that changes his appearance to that of a muscular human man with bald head and a grey beard, he appears to be donning a battered chain shirt. He grabs a longsword as part of the disguise. No need to tell anyone he's better with his knuckles, after all.
"Okay, tiny. Be sure to get us some good intel on whatever it's that he wants us to do... The devil is always in the details."
Korak Fists of Fury
"I'll keep you safe as long as you stay close... Also, maybe it's just me being paranoid, but I'd rather not eat anything in a meeting with a guy involved in assassination, unless you have some magic to detect/purify this sort of thing... That said, we do have to look natural..."
Now that I think of it... Detect Poison is probably a good cantrip in this campaign, Nicos.
Korak Fists of Fury
"Give me the other vial. I'll keep it safe for you. If they ask, simply say I don't drink or eat snacks during a job..."
Rynjin
Alrighty, let's get this party started. Plot will be hadddd. Maybe.
Inside:
Jo sits at her table and waits. She sits for about 30 minutes, and nobody arrives.
At about that time, she hears someone clearing their throat behind her.
"Madame, I was told to bring this to you. A mutual friend said you'd want one."
He presents to her a blueberry scone on a small saucer. Underneath the scone the corner of a piece of paper peaks out.
Outside:
Jorriko prowls the rooftops, looking for any signs of trouble.
For a while, there's no sign of anything.
However, about the same time Jo receives her scone, Jorriko notices four figures, closing in on the cafe from all sides. Two are heavily armored, while two are more lightly so, and seem to have a large number of pouches covering their armor, some of which have vials peeking out of them.
The sign of the Obsidian Guard is emblazoned clearly on each shoulder.
They'll be at the cafe within seconds, but none seem to notice Jorriko, as stealthy as he is. He could easily get the drop on one of them, or swiftly make it into the cafe to warn the others. They are a fair distance apart from each other (each closing in from a different alley).
1d20 + 11 ⇒ (5) + 11 = 16
1d20 + 11 ⇒ (2) + 11 = 13
1d20 - 2 ⇒ (19) - 2 = 17
1d20 - 2 ⇒ (11) - 2 = 9
1d20 + 7 ⇒ (11) + 7 = 18
1d20 + 7 ⇒ (2) + 7 = 9
1d20 + 6 ⇒ (8) + 6 = 14
1d20 + 6 ⇒ (12) + 6 = 18
I'm assuming you Take 10 on Perception and Stealth this whole time.
Inside:
Jo takes the note and reads it.
I hope this message reaches you in time, it would be quite inconvenient if it didn't. It appears the Obsidian Order ARE investigating me after all. I don't know how, but they've figured out we were supposed to meet at the cafe around this time. I may need to plug a leak...but that's my business.
They're on their way as I write this. I'm having it delivered as quickly as possible.
Should you escape, I'll contact you again sometime. We still have important business to discuss.
Hope you at least had time to enjoy your scone.

What do?
Jo.
Jo takes the scon and give it a small bite. Jo go the bathroom and cast charm person on a random waitress (DC 18)
Hey, can you do me a favor. If somebody enter asking for a girl with my description please say that she just leave a minute Ago, thanks
When the waistress leave, Jo change her appareance cast shield on herself and then cast invisibility.
Korak Fists of Fury
(Half an hour?! I'd be out of there in 5min if no one showed up!)
Korak whispers to Jo
"Told ya we should have gone to his house... They'd have known we were there, but at least they'd be less inclined to follow us!"
Korak follows Jo into the bathroom, growling at anyone who cares to protest his presence. When the two of them find themselves to be the only ones in the room, he uses his hat to take the appearance of an young elven man and then talks to Jo one more time.
"So... Can I have some of that disappearing juice too?"
Is there any windows or similar exits in the bathroom?
Jo.
I totally forgot about Korak.
I cast invisibility on Korak too.
Oh come on, stop complaining. Worst case escenario we kill some guards
Rynjin
Yes half an hour. You could have gotten the message sooner and been outta there had you followed his instructions. -.- (You never ordered your scone, mates.)
1d20 ⇒ 7
Jo Charms the waitress, who leaves to go about her business, and then finishes her castings.
She and Korak look for a window, and find one, about halfway up the wall. It is small, but with a little squeezing Jo could get out. Korak, however, is too big to fit through such a small space.
Sorry man, you're 6' 6" and built like a brick s%$+house, I just don't see you fitting through a bathroom window.
At about the same time they register that fact, they hear the sound of breaking glass all over the shop. A strange hissing fills the air, and you notice a few wisps of yellow gas, or smoke start creeping in under the bathroom door.
Korak Fists of Fury
I totally forgot about Korak.
I love you too.
She and Korak look for a window, and find one, about halfway up the wall. It is small, but with a little squeezing Jo could get out. Korak, however, is too big to fit through such a small space.
Oh, now I'm fat too?
Sorry man, you're 6' 6" and built like a brick s*!%house, I just don't see you fitting through a bathroom window.
Hey, we are in the same size category! Technically, I could squeeze into an Halfling-sized space!
EDIT: New Idea: Is there some breakable part of the window that would make open some space for Korak to better squeeze through?
At about the same time they register that fact, they hear the sound of breaking glass all over the shop. A strange hissing fills the air, and you notice a few wisps of yellow gas, or smoke start creeping in under the bathroom door.
Well, at least it's not coming from one of the bathroom stalls...
BTW, is the gas filling the whole room or does it tend to stick close to the ground, like fog does?
EDIT: Oh! I just realized they might not be specifically gassing the bathroom, but the whole tavern... Did the glass breaking-sound seem to be close to the door or a little bit further away?
EDIT2:Oh, Right! "All over the shop".
Korak holds his breath and takes opens the bathroom door just slightly in order to take a sneak peak on what's happening outside the bathroom
Taking 10 in Stealth that would be... 65. Before modifiers from concealment (like a door)! oO
Rynjin
Farther away. It sounds like the main windows of the cafe were smashed.
It looks like the gas is sticking closer to the ground, mostly, but it drifts up enough you have an inkling that it will fill a good portion of the room were the door to be opened and enough let roll through.
You might be able to knock out the window frame to give you a bit more room. I'd still say some kind of Escape Artist check would be needed to contort yourself through such a tiny space (that's how movement while double squeezing works, I believe?). Ah, yes, I found it. Really high DC though (can you even make a DC 30?). If Jo casts Grease on you or you happen to have enough Vaseline on you to cover yourself I'll give you a considerable bonus.
Oh...you edited. 'Kay.
Korak opens the door and a wave of the gas rolls in. He can't see much of anything beyond the door, the fog is too thick.
I need a Fort save. Any bonuses against Poison or magical effects apply (but I don't think you ever actually drank that Antitoxin.)
Korak Fists of Fury
Even though I'm holding my breath? :(
Also... Ah, right... I do have that anti-toxin! oO! Can I drink it before going to the door?
Rynjin
Yes, you can. And I didn't see you were holding your breath. One sec.
1d100 ⇒ 20
Yeah, you still need to make a save. I stumbled across the rule for gases like this yesterday, holding your breath only gives you a 50/50 shot of not having to save.
Korak Fists of Fury
Sorry. Got caught up in playing SF and replying to other threads... >.<'
How come not breathing the gas only gives the character a 50% chance of not breathing the gas? oO
Fort: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (19) + 7 = 26
EDIT: Oh... okay, then. OO
BTW what are the other customers doing during all that? Are they running away? Are they dropping like flies?
