We do not have all day Korak
I think I could have create pit just under the wall. So there is hallf pit in the inside and half pit in the outside. So, use the pit to scape that place and then
Rynjin
Sorry. Got caught up in playing SF and replying to other threads... >.<'
How come not breathing the gas only gives the character a 50% chance of not breathing the gas? oO
[dice=Fort]1d20+7
EDIT: Oh... okay, then. OO
BTW what are the other customers doing during all that? Are they running away? Are they dropping like flies?
You can't see more than 5 feet in front of you, the fog is too thick. You do hear some thuds, though. If you have Spellcraft or Craft: Alchemy you can identify the effect.
@Jo's suggestion: I'ma have to say no to that one. CReative, but I think it goes against the exact rules of the spell ("You must create the pit on a horizontal surface of sufficient size."). Pushing it up against a wall speaks to me that the area is not of sufficient size.
Korak Fists of Fury
I can't see, but can't I hear people screaming and/or dropping unconscious on the floor?
Korak Fists of Fury
Korak replies with a sly smile.
"Don't be so pessimist, Tiny. At worst I'll be captured, tortured and forced to tell them everything I know about you... Including your name, appearance, abilities, gear and headquarter location. Maybe they will even consider my talents and bribe or brain wash me into joining them... Unless, of course, some sort of magic-user helps me get out of here" says the barbarian as he opens the door just enough for him to squeeze through. "See you outside. Call Jorriko."
Korak leaves the bathroom but walks as stealthily as he can, staying behind the... balcony (?) I forgot the word for the long table where the tavern owner serves his customers. ><
How fully covered by smoke/gas is the outside of the bathroom? Korak takes 10 on Stealth (total of 65 before concealment bonus) to leave the tavern though the big room. I want to know about possible exits, including doors and broken windows.
EDIT: In case I can't take 10...
Stealth: 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (13) + 13 = 26
Perception: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (13) + 11 = 24
EDIT @: Hmm... Can I forget that Take 10? ;)
Rynjin
Korak stealthily creeps out through the front, choking through the gas. He can't see anything for all the smoke, but he does hear footsteps crunching on glass other than his own.
1d20 + 11 ⇒ (3) + 11 = 14
1d20 + 7 ⇒ (20) + 7 = 27
1d20 + 7 ⇒ (12) + 7 = 19
As he continues his movement, he hears someone call out, in a voice that sounds almost like it's coming from underwater, "I hear something moving, over there!"
1d100 ⇒ 12
A knife flies out of the smoke, zipping past Korak, but missing him by a good distance.
I need another Fort save from you, you need to save for every round in the cloud. If you keep moving you'll be out of the cafe next round.
Edit: Forgot the d100 for you, that first was the miss chance for the knife.
1d100 ⇒ 51
So you DON'T need to make a save.
Korak Fists of Fury
Yaaay!!! Thank you, PF RAW, for giving me the ability to not breathe! :D
BTW, how in heaven's name did he get past Stealth 65 (before Concealment bonus)???
Just out of curiosity: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (16) + 7 = 23 Okay. Now I'm less thankful.
Korak Fists of Fury
Because I didn't know it was 65, you just rolled a 26. How are you getting 65?
Ah! My bad... It's not 65. I moved so it's "only" 45. I'm invisible! :D (I did forget to add the bonus to my roll, though. My bad.)
EDIT: Nicos Ninja'd me... >:(
EDIT2: Actually, it's 46. Well, it doesn't matter. I suppose it makes sense to ignore the +20 from invisibility if the gas is so thick they wouldn't be able to see me anyway. I was just really surprised for a moment there. ><'
Korak Fists of Fury
Ah. I thought Jo only cast it on herself, my bad. Well, no harm done. (...)
She did, originally... That selfish minx! ^^
(...) Well, no harm done.
That's not true! YOU HURT MY FEELINGS!!!
But since Rage is my main class feature, it's okay.
Jo.
Rynjin wrote:(...) Well, no harm done. That's not true! YOU HURT MY FEELINGS!!!
Nothing important then ^^
Korak Fists of Fury
I want to take out a guard. random guard: 1d4 ⇒ 4
attack from on high: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (7) + 10 = 171d10 + 11 ⇒ (7) + 11 = 183d6 ⇒ (1, 2, 3) = 6
You get a 1 for being on higher ground
Korak Fists of Fury
I'll post the next bit in a few, I've gotta run to the store.
STOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOREEEE!!!
*shakes fist to heavens as the camera zooms out*| Rynjin |
The distorted voices come closer as the people step further into the room.
"Spread out and look for the criminals. Try not to trip over the civilians.", says one.
"I'll guard the door." says another, followed by the sound of footsteps going closer to the door.
Korak Fists of Fury
Do I recognize any of these men? Is there any exit other than the door the guy is guarding? Could I possibly leap over him if not?
Rynjin
No, but that's not saying much since you still can't see any of them. Think Fog Cloud, m8.
As for exits...there's always the big gaping holes in the windows they came through, or pushing past the guy at the door, and such.
Jo.
Jo cast silent image to create the image of Korak just outside the building near jorikko. THe illusion then run away as escaping.
Korak Fists of Fury
Do I recognize their voices?
Also... Nicos, can't you use the image of a random mandrigal minion instead of me? We don't want to attract (even more) attention to us! Nor do we want them to know we intend to help the elf dude.
Rynjin
You attacked his weakpoint for massive damage! Sneak attack hurts. =(
The off balance guardsmen reels from the mighty blow, but recovers quickly, and whips out his weapon, a strange looking dagger.
He swipes it at Jorriko's sword, catching it in the notched grooves on the back of the blade, and ripping it from his hands.
1d20 + 17 ⇒ (3) + 17 = 20
Your weapon is now on the ground at your feet. Your turn again.
HP: 17/44
Korak Fists of Fury
Your weapon is now on the ground at your feet. Your turn again.
Actually... I don't think it is. Jorriko forgot to update his character sheet. His CMD should be 24.
10 + 5 (BAB) +3 (STR) + 3 (Dex) + 3 (level) = 24
EDIT: That also means he forgot to update his BAB, so that 1st attack should have hit if he missed by 1.
Also... +17?! Daaaaaaaaayumn
Jo.

I was not clear. I meant i create the imaage of korak, not the true one, but the disguise he used to enter the cafe
Rynjin
+3 level? I assume you mean the AC bonus? It's an untyped bonus, it doesn't stack to CMD.
But still, with the extra BaB it's 21. Sad panda tiem.
And yeah, +17. It's amazing how easy it is to crank up CMD without even trying, especially using that weapon (which I love, I've always thought it was a great weapon for a lawman). I figured it might be fun to build all the Obsidian Guard around a "trick", be some kind of specialist instead of just attacking all the time, especially Combat Maneuvers since they ARE supposed to be guardsmen of a sort, not soldiers.
LET'S DO THE TIME WARP AGAAAAAIN!
The guard swings his dagger at Jorriko, grabbing his sword in the grooves on the back of it, and almost ripping it from his fingers. Fortunately for Jorriko, the notches did not quite catch his blade, and slide off at the last second, allowing him to retain his grip.
Korak Fists of Fury
+3 level? I assume you mean the AC bonus? It's an untyped bonus, it doesn't stack to CMD.
Ah, my bad. I assumed it did because of the whole "bonuses/penalties to AC apply to CMD as well" thing (except size bonuses, apparently). Hmmm... If the AC bonus is meant to replace RoP and AoNA, wouldn't t make sense to apply half of it to CMD?
Anyway...
Korak continues to sneak through the fog, paying attention to his surroundings so he doesn't bump into one of the attackers.
Stealth: 1d20 + 33 ⇒ (2) + 33 = 35
Perception: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (15) + 11 = 26
Rynjin
I'll look into the CMD thing, likely add a new bit about applying +1/x levels for a Deflection bonus to CMD.
Korak creeps through the fog, and makes it to the window. The street beyond has been evacuated, and he can finally see clearly again. It also looks as though the fog behind you is clearing as well, however.
The guard who had went to stand by the door sees the illusion of Korak running off, and chases after him in the opposite direction.
He seems to be gaining on the image at a fairly good clip, at this rate he will overtake him by the end of the next few seconds.
He seems to be moving faster than a normal human.
Korak Fists of Fury
Korak sneaks out of the tavern and looks around, trying to locate both enemies and allies.
Stealth: 1d20 + 33 ⇒ (8) + 33 = 41
Perception: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (15) + 11 = 26
Sense Motive: 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (16) + 13 = 29
What do I see? Other than the guy chasing my old disguise's replica.
Jo.
JO continue concentrating in the illusion.
THe image of Korak look the behind at the guy who is chasing it, take a potion and is ready to drink it at the moment the other guy is almost overtaking him. When the illusion of korak dink the potion the image will disappear.
Rynjin
The streets are empty for as far as you can see. However, you do HEAR something coming from the nearby alley, around the corner to the left. It sounds like a fight, one with weapons.
I'm pretty sure you need to cast the spell again to change what it looks like, Jo. Maybe have him duck around a corner and disappear instead?

Ah, thanks for specifying. For a moment ther eI thought they were using pillows. ;)
Korak sneaks up to the corner and checks what's happening.
Korak Fists of Fury
Rynjin did reply to your last post, though.
BTW, Rynjin... If I charge to attack the guy fighting Jorriko, at what initiative order would I go?
Jo.

I just stop concentrating and the spell ends

I think he means the part where my replica pulls a potions.

After Jorriko's next turn. Though he's probably going to kill the guy, the Disarm is just delaying the inevitable I think.

That part's not a problem. But Silent Image lets you make a specific image (in this case, a guy running). Making another image that is that significantly different (guy running while pulling out a potion and drinking it) will require another casting. Hence why I said, you can achieve the same effect by just having him duck a corner and go *poof*.
Jo.
I have no problem using a second spell, I will prefer rte potion think so the guard might think he drank a potion of invisibility or something
