You know the brothel's management staff might be amenable to persuasion of the monetary variety, even (or perhaps especially) from gentlemen (and lady) of your extralegal affiliation, if you wanted to get them on your good side.

The obsidian guard could have friends among the brothel employee, I would prefer that no other person know our intentions before the attack

Hearing Jo's words puts a vile smile on Korak's face.

"This gives me an idea, actually... What if we pretend to be Obsidian Guard officers, and tell them we're here to surprise our soldiers and that they better not warn them of our 'surprise inspection'?" says Korak. "If everything goes according to plan, we tell the staff whatever we want to tell them... If not, we leave, and all they'll know is that the Obsidian Guard cause a huge mess in their work place... Unless someone has a better idea, we make a stake out on top of some building near the brothel at night... With Darkvision and a good Perception score, Korak and JK should be more than able to identify the members of the Obsidian Guard when they enter the brothel.

Fast forward a week then.

You see a group of 5 men in Mandrigal uniforms (mostly unarmed besides small weapons like daggers and unarmored, but in uniform) enter the brothel around 8 PM.

I'll let the 2 of us with disguises go in and I will follow after a minute to make sure no one else is lurking about. another perception: 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (17) + 13 = 30

if a week has gone by, can I buy some seeing goggles for a +5 to perception?

In that week Jo send another message to the elf, showing her dissapointment but asking for another meeting in the next week or so

Jo disguise herself as a hot dressed lady (basically her normal ourfit :)) and enter the brothel and told the last hooker she met (the one that tell hers about the gurads) the story Korak deviced.

Jo then make a signal to Korak and Jorriko. TIme to act.

Let's go to the first room. At the door, Jorriko can cast Silence on Korak and then unlock the door. We rush and slay the first guard.

So is Byrd gonna confirm what he's doing/anyone gonna roll for any of that or...?

Yeah... I'm kinda waiting for him to cast Silence and then roll Disable Device to unlock the door... -.-'

With Silence cast on him, Korak can rush in and attack with a punch to the neck!

BTW, you could have cast Silence on Korak since he's the only who doesn't cast spells, but okay. As long as they can't scream for help, I'm fine with it.

I put it on my sword so I can dispell it quickly if needed, than and the fact that I carry the sword and need a mobile silent bubble.

I don't think you have to be close to the spell to dismiss it... Well, it doesn't really matter where is the Silent spell is, as long as it is near the opponent and far from Jo.[/ooc]

Anyway... We silently open the door. What do we see?

Korak and Jorriko silently open the door to see an Obsidian Guard and one of the whores in a state of half-undress, she atop him on the bed.

BTW, before we leave the room, I want to check the man's gear for anything useful/interesting.

Nothing much in the way of gear, this was a pleasure mission not a business one. He's wearing a Mandrigal uniform, a small dagger attached to his belt (draped over a nearby chair) and a medallion that identifies him as Alexander Fleming, a fairly new recruit, with no real rank yet.

To Korak: Like five minutes. TAke all that gear, they coudl hep in the future, maybe.

"Wait... This is a Mandrigal uniform! Are you sure this is a soldier of Obsidian Guard disguised as a Mandrigal? Or could we have been misinformed?"

Perception: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (18) + 11 = 29 (To find out if this is a fake uniform, also, I'm not sure this is the correct skill check... -.-')

Do we recognize the soldier's face or name?

Jo would cast invisibility and shield on Korak and Jorriko. Lts do it murderhobo style.

I could swear Silence had a duration of minute per level.. oO'. Oh, well... C'est la vie. Silencing the girl should be easy, just a matter of putting a hand on her mouth, so that she can't scream. A dagger to the neck should do the same to the man. BTW, Nicos... You might want to consider taking Mage Armor, since it lasts 1 hour/level instead of 1 minute/level.
