Lexi's Way of the Wicked

Game Master lexibean

Lexibean's minions kill all the Paladins in Way of the Wicked!

1 to 50 of 147 << first < prev | 1 | 2 | 3 | next > last >>

I've been pacing myself since I got back on the boards. However, its a bit slow, and I'm bored, so ...

I'm running Way of the Wicked for my home game now. But you know how it is with home games. Love all your usual suspects to death but after a while you get way too used to how they play and what they're up to. WotW is certainly a change of pace for them that we're all enjoying heartily, but I can't help but pine for fresh blood and ideas and characters.

Where better to get those than the Paizo boards?

I'll preface this by admitting that I'm not really a once or more a day poster anymore. Work and life and various other issues can mean that I'm silent for a couple days at a time, so if that's going to bother you, my games may not be for you.

That said, I am quite familiar with the campaign now, and really looking for a different but still fun experience of the old content with newer characters and players.

Just throwing this up to gauge interest for a somewhat slower, more detail / RP oriented run through of Way of the Wicked ... for as long as it goes.

My one restriction in character creation is that all PCs are tied to Asmodeus, or have a reason to make a contract with Asmodean folks (and keep it).

Talingarde is, for all intents and purposes, a self-contained little world. The PCs are villains. The point and purpose? Smash all the castles, kill all the Paladins.

I would be interested, Lexibean. Submitting Alicia for consideration.

Same with Sykes, very interested.

Hello again! Saved me the PM.

Greetings, These petty humans do not understand true civilization. Though very few dare get close enough to us Damphir regardless.

As a Cleric of Asmodeus - I help worshipers know his power through all description of evil and trickery muahahah.. ahem, excuse me.

let me know if you want crunch, thanks:)

Love to get in on this.

Would love to do a tiefling arcanist or sorcerer.

She sought to gain her patrons favor by seekinga way to become a half fiend (succubi or something suitable to Asmod) on the material plane. She is willing to manipulate, coerce and kill others to make it so. To see her patrons will done on earth, the laws of man and their foolish notions are but tools for her to use against the righteous.

Will post a character shortly.

I present Slevin Wraith, Inquisitor of Asmodeus

Scratch my original class selection.

Going Tiefling Magus, who is pursuing becoming a half-fiend (other - rituals based out of demons revisited >;) if possible.

eill have it up in the morning. Definetlynvery interested. :)

Let me knowb if it is point buy or roll 4d6 plrase~

dotting for interest, as I plan on running this for my home group and would like to get a taste of it before hand.

What are your thoughts on character creation? will you allow 3rd party stuff? specifically, besides being able to connect to the church of asmodeous, is there anything you would like to see in a submission, or anything that you feel would be vital to our group to have? I see that there is a lot of divine types submitted already. I have no problem playing anything (including the dreaded rogue class), so I would be more than willing to build something that you or the group feels that we need, lexibean.

Paizo material cuz its what I know ... will bw rolled stats. Will post crunch stuffs after my RL campaign :)

okay, no worries =)

I will probably submit either an investigator (mastermind), a crazed dwarven berserker barbarian, or an rogue (going for assassin and shadowdancer).

4d6 ⇒ (2, 3, 4, 4) = 13
4d6 ⇒ (4, 2, 1, 6) = 13
4d6 ⇒ (4, 4, 2, 6) = 16
4d6 ⇒ (6, 6, 6, 6) = 24
4d6 ⇒ (3, 4, 6, 6) = 19
4d6 ⇒ (5, 5, 4, 6) = 20

Hrm, always wanted to check out WotW. I'm currently attempting to get into a Skull & Shackles PbP, so I'm not sure if I will apply for this. I could submit a character as a backup though in case I don't get into the other PbP game.

I would love to play an Aasimar Anti-paladin in a way of the wicked campaign. A seducer to turn others to wickedness.

Right, so, crunch.

Races up to 15 RP. Please keep in mind that Taligard is mostly human with racist undertones. Dwarves, gnomes, elves, halflings are all acceptable but may face some prejudice. Bizarre creatures are going to have a hard time blending, though humanish shaped things should be able to manage. Be careful before making anything too big or with many arms or something, as it may be difficult to disguise these later on.

Sats, roll 4d6 and drop the lowest 12 times, take the best 6 scores to put wherever you want. (Yes, I know this can make very powerful PCs, but judging by what's happening in my RL game, you'll need it.)

Any Paizo class - including the new hybrids. Just try not to be obnoxious i.e. pack master rangers with animals hogging all the kills, undead minion hordes cluttering combat, cavaliers cramming rhinos into dungeon tunnels etc etc.

Hit points are full at first level, and rolled thereafter.

No starting gold and naked as you start off in jail.

Leadership will be allowed at later levels with some altered rules for evil minioning - you will not likely want or be able to bring a cohort around with you, more on that when you get to the appropriate level(s).

I'll be running the evil a little more light-hearted and cartoony than particularly graphic and nasty. Of course, there will still be moments of horror - it is an evil campaign - I'd prefer not to get too dark, for my own sanity if nothing else.

Remember to include some connection to Asmodeus in your backstory. I'll be picking 5 characters, mostly on their story with some thought for party balance.

I might make maps, but I think it most likely I will make combat a little more RP-based and less time consuming (for me) and avoid drawing copious maps.

Let me know if you have any other questions!

stats: 4d6 ⇒ (3, 3, 6, 6) = 18
stats: 4d6 ⇒ (2, 3, 3, 5) = 13
stats: 4d6 ⇒ (6, 2, 5, 2) = 15
stats: 4d6 ⇒ (2, 6, 5, 4) = 17
stats: 4d6 ⇒ (1, 1, 5, 4) = 11
stats: 4d6 ⇒ (5, 1, 4, 1) = 11
stats: 4d6 ⇒ (6, 6, 3, 3) = 18
stats: 4d6 ⇒ (2, 6, 4, 5) = 17
stats: 4d6 ⇒ (3, 1, 6, 2) = 12

stats: 4d6 ⇒ (3, 2, 3, 2) = 10
stats: 4d6 ⇒ (3, 6, 6, 5) = 20

Dot with interest. I'm thinking an Inquisitor of Asmodeus. Not sure which race yet. I'll get more of his stuff up tomorrow i have to flush out the idea more.

Would an Oni Spawn Tiefling be ok for this adventure? If so thats probably what ill make.

Liberty's Edge

Pathfinder Starfinder Roleplaying Game Subscriber

Doing a daemon spawn Tiefling magus then. Will do the other six rolls real quick.

4d6 ⇒ (6, 2, 2, 3) = 13
4d6 ⇒ (3, 4, 3, 2) = 12.
4d6 ⇒ (4, 2, 3, 2) = 11
4d6 ⇒ (5, 1, 3, 2) = 11
4d6 ⇒ (6, 2, 4, 6) = 18
4d6 ⇒ (2, 3, 5, 2) = 12

So 11, 16, 16, 16, 18, 14 for stats to arrange that is great. :) will look at races to make sure I am not missing the chance to play something neat. Thanks and character is in the works. :)

Dotting! Very interested with a human anti-paladin. Are we allowed to have lawful evil anti-paladins, by the way?

Lexi....glad to see you back.

If the S&S does not continue this sounds great...I have been trying to get into a wicked game for a looooong time, and its either I don't get accepted or I roll so pitifully that i really don't want to play.

So i will throw my hat into the ring here.

Lava gnome summoner/fire sorcerer

stats rolling:

4d6 ⇒ (5, 2, 5, 2) = 14 = 12
4d6 ⇒ (2, 2, 3, 6) = 13 = 11
4d6 ⇒ (6, 1, 2, 5) = 14 = 13
4d6 ⇒ (1, 1, 1, 2) = 5 = 4
4d6 ⇒ (2, 5, 1, 3) = 11 = 10
4d6 ⇒ (2, 1, 4, 2) = 9 = 8
4d6 ⇒ (4, 4, 4, 5) = 17 = 13
4d6 ⇒ (4, 6, 4, 6) = 20 = 16
4d6 ⇒ (5, 5, 5, 1) = 16 = 12
4d6 ⇒ (5, 3, 4, 2) = 14 = 12
4d6 ⇒ (2, 4, 3, 4) = 13 = 11
4d6 ⇒ (2, 1, 4, 4) = 11 = 10

Yeah dice gods of hatred: I need to keep the 4d6 without dropping to be on par.

final rolls: 12, 13, 13, 16, 12, 12

yeah 22 point buy.. not quite the "more powerful" as described.

can I modify race choice to bring up to 15 points?

Lexi I'm going to do the rolls and go from there.

Stats:

Stat: 4d6 ⇒ (5, 6, 5, 2) = 18
Stat: 4d6 ⇒ (5, 5, 6, 2) = 18
Stat: 4d6 ⇒ (5, 2, 1, 3) = 11
Stat: 4d6 ⇒ (4, 2, 5, 1) = 12
Stat: 4d6 ⇒ (2, 5, 5, 3) = 15
Stat: 4d6 ⇒ (3, 5, 2, 6) = 16
Stat: 4d6 ⇒ (3, 6, 5, 5) = 19
Stat: 4d6 ⇒ (3, 2, 1, 6) = 12
Stat: 4d6 ⇒ (2, 5, 5, 6) = 18
Stat: 4d6 ⇒ (4, 4, 1, 4) = 13
Stat: 4d6 ⇒ (1, 3, 4, 5) = 13
Stat: 4d6 ⇒ (2, 1, 1, 6) = 10

Not to bad. I'll try to have him up tomorrow for you to look at.

Lexibean
Character Sheet in spoiler for your Perusal~

Shami is your usual Kensai, Bladebound Magus. Intensified spell and magical lineage to match type build. Won't deny, its a solid build.

I built her to be more of a party face, 16 cha, gives her a decent amount of Cha and +8 Bluff/Sense Motive make it a little harder for others to disbelieve her words or deceive her in return. It was a hard coin flip on Diplomacy Trait or a Sense Motive boosting trait but since tis an evil campaign I thought Sense Motive was much more important.

Did use a drawback if thats okay, adds to the evil side I thought, Let me know if Drawbacks are a no-no. Picked Paranoid

I exchanged her Spellcasting ability that teiflings get with the Telepathy with Evil Creatures 50ft. Thought it would add more flavor to her darkside and since leadership is allowed it wouldn't be beneath her to telepathically command others to perform her bidding. That way no one can physically prove she ordered anyone to do anything. ;)

She is...

Chaotic Evil:
Chaotic evil is all about self aggrandizement and fulfilling the individuals desires no matter the cost to anyone else. This ranges from the mad monk, who seeks to return insane outer gods so he may rule what is left of the world, to the armored bully, who enforces his will through brute force and intimidation.

Chaotic evil can be charming and urbane, but brooks no resistance to its goals except those imposed by a stronger force. Even then, it schemes to remove the obstruction without any personal sacrifice.

but not in the world smashing destroyer way. She will be more subtle.

Anyway let me know what you think! Thanks~

Arcane Pool +1 (4/day) (Su) Infuse own power into a held weapon, granting enhancement bonus or selected item powers.

Canny Defense +1 (Ex) +INT bonus to AC (max Kensai level).

Chosen Weapon (Scimitar) Kensai abilities only function when wielding a weapon of this type.

Darkvision (60 feet) You can see in the dark (black and white vision only).

Energy Resistance, Fire (5) You have the specified Energy Resistance against Fire attacks.

Hero Points (1) Hero Points can be spent at any time to grant a variety of bonuses.

Intensified Spell You can cast a spell that can exceed its normal damage die cap by 5 (if you have the caster level to reach beyond that cap).

Magical Lineage (Shocking Grasp) A chosen spell counts as 1 level lower when metamagic feats are applied to it.

Paranoid Aid Another DC 15 for attempts to help you.

Spell Combat (Ex) Use a weapon with one hand at -2 and cast a spell with the other.

Telepathy w/Evil Creatures You can communicate telepathically with any evil creature within 50 feet.

Will have an appearance and personality up later. But here is her stats layout, itemless as you requested. The only thing I added for flavor was a tattoo of Nocticula's holy symbol.

Shami would have no reason not to work with Asmodean's to further her mistresses goals and could even be swayyed (through good RP) to switch sides possibly.

Still following the idea that she is a woman who uses her special abilities to further her own agenda. She uses guile and subterfuge to manipulate others, while remaining paranoid about the fact they could be using her in return. She has the ability to telepathically communicate with others that are more inclined to dark deeds as well. However it was through a poor attempt at impersonating a clergymen that she wound up in prison.

@Lexibean Since Tiefling is a 13 point buy are we allowed to add 2rp to it to get it to 15 and keep the players on an even keel?

Question 2 Is Demoniac or any darker tone PrC's restricted? I will avoid going full dark as requested. Just wondering if there was anything else not allowed~

Thanks!

Hey Alicia wanna trade? :3

Hmmmmm. Tentative dot, pending the outcome of a couple other recruitment threads I've submitted to. But because rolling for stats is fun, let's see what we'll have to work with!

Stat Rolls:

4d6 ⇒ (2, 5, 3, 6) = 16 14
4d6 ⇒ (6, 3, 4, 2) = 15 13

4d6 ⇒ (5, 6, 4, 1) = 16 15
4d6 ⇒ (3, 5, 3, 5) = 16 13

4d6 ⇒ (2, 3, 5, 4) = 14 12
4d6 ⇒ (4, 3, 5, 2) = 14 12

4d6 ⇒ (4, 6, 4, 3) = 17 14
4d6 ⇒ (1, 5, 5, 1) = 12 11

4d6 ⇒ (2, 1, 3, 5) = 11 10
4d6 ⇒ (6, 4, 6, 1) = 17 16

4d6 ⇒ (6, 6, 1, 3) = 16 15
4d6 ⇒ (6, 6, 3, 1) = 16 15

So...16, 15, 15, 15, 14, 14. Sounds good to me >:)

If I missed something in my math let me know i dont mind constructive criticism. Although I missed a 12 so thanks Jolly Roger. :)

Shami real stats.:

Between the two posts my stats came out to 12, 16, 16, 16, 18, 14. Except... I forgot to add the dex and int bonus on my temp sheet. Crud. >.<

12, 18, 16, 20, 12, 16

Very nice and can do anything with a magus with 20 int. May do Magus Alchemist if certain orcs aren't doable. :)

Will post a corrected the sheet once I get feedback. Working on personality and description, have house cleaning to do~ lol

Will you be using any of the alternate rules from the players guide?

- Extra 2 skill ranks/level
- Traits/campaign traits?

Thanks!

Looking things over i will post a story but no crunch, yet with my rolls i dont see being a very effective caracer. Unless i can swap my lowest roll for an 18 or even better allow using the equiv. Point buy of the best roller among the selected.

I personally hate rolling for stats

Story and background being important I guess I better start thinking of one.

@GM Can chaotic creatures also work with asmodeus, or can we get a neutral/lawful evil antipaladin?

The Way of the Wicked players guide suggests allowing a LE antipaladin. I think it's a pretty typical accommodation

Liberty's Edge

Pathfinder Starfinder Roleplaying Game Subscriber

Lexibean I can change my alignment to LE if needed I didnt see CE being too disruptive but let me know. ;)

Just bought the first book as I understand it is the players guide?

Will adjust my character to suit. Same build and such. Will have an avatar up shortly.

I appreciate your chivalry, Sykes, but I think I'll keep mine. ;)

Rolls:

Age: 8d6 + 60 ⇒ (6, 3, 5, 2, 6, 4, 2, 1) + 60 = 89 = 89 years old
Height: 2d10 ⇒ (4, 5) = 9 = 5' 2" tall
Weight: 2d10 ⇒ (6, 4) = 10 = 135 lbs

Rolls:
4d6 - 2 ⇒ (4, 2, 6, 5) - 2 = 15
4d6 - 1 ⇒ (2, 6, 3, 1) - 1 = 11
4d6 - 1 ⇒ (2, 5, 5, 1) - 1 = 12
4d6 - 2 ⇒ (4, 6, 2, 3) - 2 = 13
4d6 - 1 ⇒ (5, 3, 1, 5) - 1 = 13
4d6 - 2 ⇒ (5, 2, 5, 5) - 2 = 15
4d6 - 3 ⇒ (3, 5, 4, 6) - 3 = 15
4d6 - 1 ⇒ (1, 4, 4, 6) - 1 = 14
4d6 - 2 ⇒ (4, 3, 2, 3) - 2 = 10
4d6 - 1 ⇒ (5, 6, 1, 6) - 1 = 17
4d6 - 4 ⇒ (6, 6, 6, 4) - 4 = 18
4d6 - 2 ⇒ (4, 5, 2, 2) - 2 = 11

So... 18, 17, 15, 15, 15, 14... that's a first.

I'd like to submit Lisbeth Steelsong, human anti-paladin.

Background:
Lisbeth grew up along with the nobility of Talingarde. Not because she was noble herself, but because her family were revered paladins of Mitra. Before she was born, her mother had a revelation that unfortunate and disastrous changes would happen when her sole daughter came of age. Afraid to tell her husband, she went to the church that she had trusted so much and confided in them. They assured her that her secret was safe. Not long after childbirth, Lisbeth's mother passed away, unable to bear the burden any longer.

Raised solely by her father, Lisbeth grew up learning the tenets of Mitra, and held them dearly. But she had visions, visions that ran through her mother's side. She saw horrible things in the future. And the proponent of these awful changes was always brought forth by the Monarch of Talingarde — the beloved King Markadian V.

Passing her religious studies, Lisbeth graduated from the Church of Mitra and became a full fledged paladin. Assigned to the court, she began to look into how to prevent the disastrous future that she witnessed every night she lay down to sleep. But the Church did not listen to her. None believed in her visions, just as they did not believe in her mothers, and tried to assure her that it was nothing more than the Fallen one's influence, trying to test her faith.

But she believed, and she began to plot. If only the Brave of House Darius were no longer in power, perhaps the lands might be saved. She sought others that were like minded. Others that could help her destroy the current rule. Plans were put into motion to discredit the legitimacy of the throne. Secret taxes were enforced without the monarchs knowledge. Heralds seeking to cause sedition were found in the streets nearly every day.

But something went wrong. There were royal spies in the midst of her conspiracy. They quickly found the source, and confronted Lisbeth. She was tried by the courts and convicted of High Treason. The Church, her only pillar of strength, turned their backs on her. She was frightened, but more than that, she was angered. How could they!? Would they not listen to reason?

But she found another rock in the turbulent storm of chaos, a dark voice deep inside her. The Fallen One's words were soothing, and stoked her anger. It spoke to her of future deeds, and how she could destroy the hated Church, and cease the line of the monarchy forever. She would have her revenge. The iron bars she found herself behind now, awaiting her execution, could not contain her wrath. She would find a way. The Church would burn. A new rule would be established. The lands would be washed in cleansing darkness.

I'm definitely interested and dot as such. Just gotta come up with something good.

Liberty's Edge

Very interested in this as I had started in a WotW game many moons ago and our DM disappeared. I was thinking of playing a monk...will review and get stats up asap. For now here are my rolls:

Rolls:

4d6 ⇒ (4, 5, 1, 3) = 13 12
4d6 ⇒ (6, 6, 1, 1) = 14 13
4d6 ⇒ (2, 2, 4, 1) = 9 08
4d6 ⇒ (5, 5, 3, 6) = 19 16
4d6 ⇒ (5, 3, 6, 3) = 17 14
4d6 ⇒ (1, 3, 6, 1) = 11 10
4d6 ⇒ (2, 3, 3, 4) = 12 10
4d6 ⇒ (2, 4, 6, 6) = 18 16
4d6 ⇒ (6, 6, 1, 4) = 17 16
4d6 ⇒ (1, 3, 5, 1) = 10 09
4d6 ⇒ (2, 5, 4, 2) = 13 11
4d6 ⇒ (6, 1, 4, 1) = 12 11

So it looks like the final array will be 16 16 16 14 13 12

Shadow Lodge

rolls:
4d6 ⇒ (5, 3, 4, 5) = 17 14
4d6 ⇒ (6, 2, 3, 4) = 15 13
4d6 ⇒ (3, 4, 1, 1) = 9 8
4d6 ⇒ (1, 1, 3, 3) = 8 7
4d6 ⇒ (3, 4, 6, 6) = 19 16
4d6 ⇒ (3, 6, 4, 1) = 14 13
4d6 ⇒ (6, 4, 1, 2) = 13 12
4d6 ⇒ (3, 1, 6, 2) = 12 11
4d6 ⇒ (2, 1, 3, 2) = 8 7
4d6 ⇒ (5, 5, 6, 2) = 18 16
4d6 ⇒ (4, 6, 2, 5) = 17 15
4d6 ⇒ (4, 6, 3, 3) = 16 14

Str 16
Dex 15

Int 14
Wis 14
Cha 16

Decent antipaladin
I'm going for a dhampir, Moroi-Born (Svetocher), if allowed I will use the remaining 4 RP to buff him out a bit,
I'm going for the vampire feats immiedietly,
I'm also going to take the "mother's teath" trait, granting me a d4 bite attack, which will add nicely to my later blood draining ability

Lexibean

Shami is complete. Tried to keep her story simple despite her being nearly a 100 years old...

Changes:

Alignment Per the players guide (Knot of Thorns?) and to make it easier I dropped the CE and took LE.

Religion Changed to Asmodeus, again, for player continuity.

Stats Changed her high Int to wisdom and turned it into 12 , 18 (16 before racial), 16, 18 (Previously a 16 before racial) 16 (18 before racial) 14.

Went for a more balanced array that worked strongly with my ideas on how she should play. Tried to keep her Cha up so she could still RP well skill wise for a more social dynamic.

Traits Removed one of the previously stated ones and replaced with Sedition crime. Which was fitting. I was hoping for posing as clergy or something but this works lol. Little Jack Sparrow~

Class: Magus still. But can fit any class. I normally play more front line fighters and if we go mage heavy I don't mind turning her into a Cavalier or Fighter. Cavalier would be preferred, because I enjoy it alot~ but I am flexible. :)

If there is anything you dislike let me know, never played an evil character but it sounds like fun.

Repeating my above questions: Let me know of any PrC's that are restricted. Also I will aim for the Half-Fiend Template ritual out of the Demons Revisted book if possible. It would be neat and wouldn't happen quickly. More like a career topper to become closer to her patron through becoming more demon like.

The Ritual is neat as you can become a Half-Maralith, Half-Succubus and such. Let me know if that is possible once you get done with your character selections. Thanks! And Thanks for posting this recruitment! :D

I would appreciate any constructive criticism from others. incase I missed or messed something up. Thanks in advance. :)

Ok, here is Esan, my Hungry Ghost Monk for your approval. Hope you like him...would be fun to get to play him again!!

Yes, Anti-Pallies in WotW may be LE - in fact I think Anti-Pallies in general should be LE ... but that's just my two cents.

Ed, you can make your own race up to 15, sure, as long as you tell me a li'l about them, to make up for your rolls (not sure how you did that?). :) Or, y'know...play a wizard!

Sykes, similar story.

Shadow Lodge

So I can just take a dhampir and bump it up a bit?

Having been in a few recruitments with Ed I can say that the dice roller in the boards hates him. :(

Special rp for really crappy rolls ... as I was telling Ed - killed three players last night for for a planning fail. Comea down to smart choices rather than stats most of the time. :)

Yeah it is more difficult when the rolls are against you but some characters truly shine without powerful stats. :)

So was it a WotW character deaths. Details? :D

Spoiler:

4d6 ⇒ (5, 1, 6, 2) = 14
4d6 ⇒ (4, 4, 5, 1) = 14
4d6 ⇒ (2, 3, 1, 3) = 9
4d6 ⇒ (3, 2, 3, 5) = 13
4d6 ⇒ (6, 6, 2, 2) = 16
4d6 ⇒ (1, 4, 5, 1) = 11
4d6 ⇒ (1, 3, 1, 1) = 6
4d6 ⇒ (6, 6, 2, 2) = 16
4d6 ⇒ (2, 5, 5, 2) = 14
4d6 ⇒ (1, 6, 1, 4) = 12
4d6 ⇒ (1, 4, 1, 5) = 11
4d6 ⇒ (3, 6, 5, 4) = 18

15,14,14,13,13,12

Ed, play a summoner. Then you don't generally need stats :)

Lexibean: did you see my other questions? About the skills and traits?
