-Tyvall has been a part of the Bronzewood Lodge since before many of its members were alive.
-A little more than 10 years ago, a faction of the Lodge started manipulating and guiding a local barbarian tribe in order to use them as a weapon against the mining operations of Diamond Lake. Tyvall and Caerdon were like brothers and the original leaders of that faction, but when the tribe's approach quickly became more violent Tyvall and Caerdon had a falling out over it.
-Tyvall tried to intercede with the tribe to prevent the coming retaliation, but could not convince them while Caerdon worked to egg them on. The slaughter some weeks later led to a falling out among the Bronzewood Lodge. Tyvall worked to spare the children, though he didn't have their borderline slavery in mind.
-Tyvall decided to try to sway the community from within and took a position as an advisor to the Dourstone collective as a spiritual advisor and priest to their miners.
-His decision to work with the Dourstone Collective to guide their operation toward sustainable practices was seen as a betrayal by Caerdon and some of the more hardline members of the Lodge who had trusted him as an older mentor.
-In truth his decision to work with the Dourstone family, was less about principle and more driven by his burning anger with the fallout of the barbarian tribe. Over time he kept the position as an excuse to spend time with Moiryn Dourstone, Ragnolin's daughter.
-Tyvall has been courting Moiryn for some time now, but a wandering woodland priest is not a suitable match for what passes as nobility in Diamond Lake.
-Tyvall's family are established clergy, in his home Clan, but his wandering Uncle's tales of the greater world led to Tyvall pursuing his faith outside the clan home.
-The filth, cruelty, and nature killing practices of the human miners who have been springing up in the last decades makes Tyvall regret his decision to settle here. The death and continued pollution of the lake is a constant source of anger for him.
-Goal 1: Establish himself enough to propose to Moiryn.
-Goal 2: Put an end to the mining operations that are destroying the domain under his protection.

Spoiler:
"The Shalm is eternal. It is always sunrise somewhere; the dew is never all dried at once; a shower is forever falling; vapor is ever rising. Eternal sunrise, eternal sunset, eternal dawn and gloaming, on sea and continents and islands, each in its turn, as the round earth rolls."

“Live in each season as it passes; breathe the air, drink the drink, taste the fruit, and resign yourself to the influence of the Shalm.”

“Climb the mountains and get their good tidings. Nature's peace will flow into you as sunshine flows into trees. The winds will blow their own freshness into you, and the storms their energy, while cares will drop away from you like the leaves of Autumn.”

The creation of a thousand forests is in one acorn.

The sun every morning is a beautiful spectacle, yet most of the audience sleeps.

“There is a pleasure in the pathless woods,
There is a rapture on the lonely shore.
