I think Barl would have faught till close to death. Which will lead to LnW opting to send his soul to the next plane.
The rest i agree =^^=

Tsuto can be back with his sister? Helping or what not =^^=

I don't know how it ties in with the hook mountain module but Windsong Abbey seems like a good place for someone recovering from some pretty serious evil.
I have to agree that redeeming Barl seems awfully implausible. I get the Aasimar connection, and it is interesting to have have redeemed Nualia instead of just killing her, but she was worshipping Lamashtu and using consecrated remains to perform dark rituals intended to turn herself into a terrible demon-creature... If we redeemed her there should be a pretty good reason why/how. I'm not saying we shouldn't do it, just that if we do we should give some thought to the why's and how's. IIRC, Tsuto is kind of her pawn so killing or redeeming him shouldn't be a huge deal either way, and him staying with and working for his sister makes sense.
Iozif Mirga |
IIRC Nualia was sort of driven to revenge by the cruelty of those around her. Lamashtu and her rituals were a means to that revenge, not a lifestyle choice. Lamashtu would have taken advantage of that desire to warp something as pure as an aasimar. Show Nualia a better path, one involving treating others better so as not to continue the cycle. Show her that cruelty and vengeance are not the paths to happiness.
I agree, Windsong Abbey sounds like a fine location for her.

Seems Windsong it is =^^=

Maybe a short list of the characters and connections?

One other thing to consider is an event that happened in book 3. You guys would have cleared out Fort Rannick, a fort that is charged with keeping the town of Turtleback Ferry safe. Originally the fort was inhabited by the Black Arrows, a group of mercenaries from Magnimar but due to the efforts of one of the arrows working with a group of ogers the Fort fell under Ogre control for a bit. You guys cleaned it out. The question is would you guys have wanted to regift the fort to what was left of the black arrows(only 3 members left), put Shalelu in charge with the black arrows(her father is a member) or would you guys have taken control of the Fort?
Lamb&Wolf |
Shared control an option?

Lamb&Wolf |
Well. Thats our vote =^^=
Now the rest

Baldric Moore |
Well now, that's certainly something Baldric would have an interest in...
My vote would emphatically be for keeping control of the fort, and becoming the leader(s) of the Black Arrows. If there was a worthy Black Arrow we could appoint them Fort Commander. I/we could have recruited replacement soldiers from Magnimar (or wherever) and when we have decent amounts of down time I'll go there to train people. IIRC, there would have been some time right away and I could have trained the commander and helped set up their training program.
Lamb&Wolf |
If its the latter, Wolf will like him a lot more

Baldric's parents were really hoping that he'd get a 'respectable' career as private security for someone important or as an officer in a prestigious mercenary company or private army... he didn't really like the idea of taking orders for the rest of his life so he began freelance work as a soldier/bodyguard for hire shortly before heading down to the Swallowtail Festival (to spend some coin from his most recent contract).
When the goblins attacked he defended the people and property of Sandpoint primarily in the hopes of getting a reward and/or drumming up some more business (both of which he did get). The more he got rewarded (by people and through recovered loot) for various 'hero' activities the more he really embraced 'adventurer' as a career.
His parents, however, were thrilled to learn that he had become Lord Commander of Fort Rannik and the Black Arrows (though they may not really understand why he lets the Fort Commander control so much, nor why he spends so much time away from the Fort... or even that those things are true, lol).

1 person marked this as a favorite. |
I took a quick look at the discussion thread for the other table.
First I'd like to say I'm glad to have wound up in this group (and that's all that I'll say on that matter).
And second, can you give us a quick summary of Judge Ironbriar and Xanesha? Those names were mentioned over there, but not here and I'd like to have some idea of that piece of our history.
DM Mathpro |
Yes that other group has been...interesting to say the least...
Judge Ironbriar was working for Xanesha and running the skinsaw cult in Magnimar. They were responsible for some murders in Sandpoint and you all investigated and put the cult out of business. Thats pretty much the entirety of book 2 was dealing with them and him. Xanesha is part of a twin duo of lamia that were working with the big bad(not sure if you guys have figured out who that is yet or not at this point) and gathering souls to make him more powerful. She started the skinsaw cult to harvest souls in Magnimar to please her master. Xanesha's twin was responsible for the fort overthrow and the issues in Turtle back ferry in book 3.

I think we will only feel the effects from level 14. Since my spells only go to level 6.

Same here. I don't plan to PRC, so there's no loss there.
I second spellstrike-y stuff. Zaph is built for self-buffing and Iozif and L+W are by nature of their classes fairly support-oriented.
Unless Zaph is buffed and on his horse I think the thing we're missing the most is intense damage.
Lamb&Wolf |
Yup. The two of us work well if buffed before hand.

Sorry for the delay in posting things have been CRAZY here. Our basement flooded while we were gone and everything down there is trashed. We've been with out hot water since Saturday(probably before that but we didn't get home until Saturday) and our washer and dryer are trash. We also have a new puppy that I got my wife for christmas/her birthday that has been keeping us busy.
Lamb&Wolf |
As long as everybody knows its a "for life" gift and he/she is now a family member =^^=. Sorry if i sound harsh. Im one of those folks who do not like "Christmas pets " =^^=
Good luck with the mini flood. =^^=

Oh yes this is his forever home for sure. He's integrating into the family very well...though our black lab doesn't like him much. Until yesterday he was the best behaved dog I've ever had. We had a bit of a set back yesterday but today seems to be back on track. He's asleep and chasing rabbits in his sleep(the little feet are twitching away)

My oldest huskey is turning 10 soon (April). Planning a nice dinner for him =^^=

Zaphkiel the Strong |
Man, how much of a terror does the little guy have to be for the lab to not gel with him? My lab from when I was a little kid was the chillest thing ever.
On a game note, do L+W feel compelled to, I don't know, 'reap' people around them who are dying from non-combat things? Like if we run into a 98-year-old human are they going to be all like HER TIME APPROACHES, LITTLE LAMB! yes, my dear wolf?
Lamb&Wolf |
Not how i see it, they are battlefield reapers. So non battle deaths are not their jurisdiction =^^=
But Zaph doesn't know this. Unless he asked them
But i do think they can sense if Death approaches for someone. But they are not vocal about it.
The caps is just so people can distinguish who is talking when they do talk. Difference between deep and soft voice.
I do not remember, did we post character descriptions before the game, or do we need to post them n the game thread?
Baldric Moore |
Mine is in my profile, but here it is again for ease of access...
Baldric tends to be direct, even blunt, in conversation and can at times be gruff, though he often does not mean to be. He is motivated more by coin than any sense of righteousness, but he does feel drawn towards heroics and will often intervene in dangerous situations if he believes he can help in some way (though the potential for reward for these actions doesn't hurt either).
Lamb&Wolf |
She looks like a young girl, barely old enough to be seen as an adult, her hair white, soft but bushy, very much like wool. Once you get close you can see she is not really human. Digi-grade legs, small hooves, and her eyes shine bright blue. Soft and very gentle, she seems and sounds like a very caring person
Unlike his companion, Wolf is a hot head. Literally. Flames surround his body, his skeleton plainly visible from the outside. A large wolf skeleton wreathed in flames, forming his outer body. Ranging from white to red, green and purple in between. His eyes reflect that of Lamb, bright star blue flames. He seems to be a very aggressive creature, yet he travels with Lamb where ever she goes. Never one without the other
Iozif Mirga |
Here's my description from my profile.
A tall thin man, he is dark of hair and complexion. His tanned skin is testament to his outdoor lifestyle. He wears a shirt of fine mail that peeks out occasionally from behind his colorful native garb. His arms are covered with a variety of tattoos. He often keeps his dark curly hair pulled back to a club at the base of his skull.
Zaphkiel the Strong |
Zaphkiel is a large and imposing man with wide shoulders and arms. He has violet eyes and silver birthmarks running down his cheeks under his eyes. His hair is dark, the only bit that clearly shows that he is in fact as varisian as he is angelic, that seems to be going grey, but instead of a dull grey like most humans the grey portions of his hair are bright and shiny like polished silver.
