Entering the armory room carefully, Galen looks around nervously, his mind still on the haunting sounds of the hallway. He steps over to the weapon racks, a bit more in his element, to inspect what might be present there.

Sorry I forgot to mention that my end-of summer schedule would/will be so full. The eclipse + marching band filled up this last week, and early tomorrow I leave for another vacation until Saturday. See you all then. Sorry for the long waits this summer. This was by far the busiest summer of my whole life, and school is picking up after labor day which should mean consistent schedule. Fingers crossed.

Galen you move over to the weapon rack and find practice swords and shileds. You find two short bows and dozens of blunt arrows.
Nic finds more dust
Thorin grins as he finds a small pouch of coins with 2d20 ⇒ (13, 4) = 17 gold

"Hmm.." says Galen with curiosity. "Someone uses this as an archery training room. There are shortbows should anyone require one. But blunt arrows only, and no crossbows, which was what we were shot at with before. If there is training room, it stands to reason there are warriors somewhere about. Let's advance and see."
When everyone is ready, Galen moves toward the hallway, still holding sword and torch, and looks to see what might be out there.

"No reason to be leavin' this equipment 'ere. No need to have it used against us in the future. Besides it could fetch a price in trade." Nic will cast detect magic and scan weapons for any magical auras. He begins with the bows then the shields and finish by doing a quick look around the room itself.

Galen is not curious about the pipes, but much more interested in the weapons. "Should we proceed then?" he asks a bit impatiently as the rest of the group stares at the ceiling. "Likely some bad guys ahead who we need to bring to heel." He points towards the open doorway in case the others have forgotten the way.

Our heroes move through the door, and down another short corridor, through another door and they find themselves in a large dining hall. It is clean, and tidily cluttered. Plates, mugs, are stacked out of the way, while sacks and barrels of food stuffs are tossed out of the way in a makeshift larder, but without any thought to organization. There is a hearth with a burning fire. There is some food on the table which has obviously been left. There are two paths leading out, both are hallways with no doors.

Galen looks around the dining hall in puzzlement. "Where is everyone? Seems like this place was occupied not long ago. Now, no one. Hope they aren't all lying in ambush for us someplace."
Not knowing which way is best to continue, Galen will always choose the right hand path, but will defer to the others if they have a reason or preference.

"I get the feeling they are all retreating and amassing somewhere to trounce us once we get there" - Reknar shakes his head, poking at each of the passages for sounds or any other signs.

"Yeah, the more I look around, the more likely it is that there is an ambush waiting for us. We should proceed with caution. Not that I'm afraid of the fight, but one of you might get hurt."
He looks around carefully for any sign of or hiding places for foes.]
