Hey Rah, so any news of a new mission for our group(those that are still around that is) How does it work outside a gameday?

GM Tektite |

Hey guys, we have one slot open for a new RoW game. It is not a PFS game, just a regular PbP. If you are interested, come on over and introduce yourself. I know my link won't work, so maybe you can find it, lol.

How about PFS credit?

I don't know. Pop in and ask, Tek! I'm sure woodsmoke will tell you what he's thinking.

You don't really need to do anything extra for PFS credit. As long as you are running the adventure fairly close to how it is written, you can home-rules everything else (including character creation rules) using the 'campaign mode' system for PFS credit.
All that's required is handing out PFS chronicle sheets and reporting the session after you complete each book.
I've been running Jade Regent, Shattered Star, and Reign of Winter using the 'campaign system'. You don't even need to think about PFS until it's time to hand out the chronicle sheets and decide who you want to apply it to. And if the GM doesn't want the chronicle sheet, he can just toss it; it'll only take him an extra 10 minutes after each book to hand them out to everyone else.

was looking for a pfs game to be honest

EndlessForms |

Yep, Tek's got it right (should, he's playing in my Jade Regent and Shattered Star games and I'm in his Dragon's Demand game). As long as you actually play through the encounters, you can use whatever homebrew system you want to: custom character creation, hero points, evil characters, whatever you want. Just apply the credit to a PFS character as if you had played a pregen when you finish each sanction part.

I believe you need to start from the beginning ss a stipulation for campaign mode (though it is not for "module mode".)
All the rules are on the additional resources page. Just look under each AP as if you were checking to see what was legal for each.

You'd need to play Dragon's Demand (or any module sanctioned in the same manner) sequentially in campaign mode in order to qualify for the bonus fourth chronicle.
However, it's conceivable that you could run each part of Demand with a different PFS PC. Likewise with the APs:
Alternatively, if you are participating in the Rise of the Runelords Adventure Path with an ongoing group undertaking the entire, six-chapter campaign, you may receive credit for playing the sanctioned portions of the adventure as if you had played a pregenerated character. In this case, GMs running the Adventure Path are not bound to the rules of the Pathfinder Society Organized Play campaign (such as 20-point buy, unavailability of hero points, etc.) when running the campaign or the sanctioned portion of the adventure. Pathfinder Society characters and characters from an ongoing Adventure Path campaign may not play in the same adventure.
It's designed for campaign mode, and that's clearly the intent. But I think it's flexible enough that if you're playing the campaign and your GM quits, you could find another group to campaign with and still be able to get the chronicles.

EndlessForms |

Yeah, the intention is that you play the whole AP through but I think they left the language flexible enough that if you decide to quit halfway through or you switch GMs you'll still get the chronicle sheets one book at a time (rather than having to finish the entire AP first).

That said, the dumbest best use of Campaign mode is to play an AP as written, but add "... IN SPACE!" to the end of every applicable line to play Rise of the Runelords... IN SPACE! or Skull and Shackles... IN SPACE!*
*Varied results may apply with Reign of Winter...

Everytime I read the words 'Professor Snouts Oinkerton' it makes me giggle.
That's why he gives a +3 Diplomoacy. Also, he wears a hat that is one of those fake Glasses-and-toupee, so he looks smart.

I finally broke down and copied your idea. I put a link to your hideaway in my Sanctuary, hoping we could catch some cross over if people are looking to host of join new games.

Hwoof, I'd dot, but that short description would murder my page width.

is there a list of missions you can run somewhere?

Searching for a distant star
Heading off to Iscandar
Leaving all we love behind
Who knows what daaaaangerrrs we'll fiiiiiiiind?
Though the only similar element would be "there's boats and they're in space" (given the horribly different plots,) I would so play the doctor who gets drunk and freezes himself in the cyro-tube. I've already been Authorized use of Spelljammer stuff in my local S&S game by the overseer GM, though I'm holding off on that until book 4 or 5, probably.
Other side note: I had trouble not singing the theme song when I would run First Steps Part III, given the island's name of Escandar.

@Rah: if you want a list to work off of, Rah, the one in my main profile is downloadable. You would just have to play "Control + F at every scenario" to see what you have run, played, and whatnot.
@Thunderspirit: Man, a Star Blazers campaign is now, like, #3 on my list of "anime themed campaigns I want to exist," followed by Outlaw Star at 2nd and Hokuto no Ken/Fist of the North Star in the lead. If I ever get into a good-moving Wrath of the Righteous that I trust to get to the finish, I'd make a Nanto Shin Ken-esque Panther Style Monk in a heartbeat, just to tell Deskari that he's already dead after Quivering Palming him. Sure, he'd be immune, but still.

Rah whats the time frame for our game to start? I found another game i could join if your not 100% you will be running yours, havent see any of my group in here yet either.

That really seems like a detriment to their argument of "Online Can Win You Boons Too." I didn't enter any gameday games so I'm not too worried, but that's just my 2cp on the topic.
