Rogar hangs back with the others, hammer in hand ready for a surprise attack. He is very impressed with Ruza's singing and turns to talk quietly to whoever is with him.

Wow. Ruza's got one 'ell of a set of pipes on 'er! Don't care much for the song though. Candles, wind 'n' rain? Those are for elves! Dwarven songs are all about gettin' drunk and starting fights on a Saturday night!

"They're at it again!" Myst yells as he suddenly turns around, draws an arrow and fires at the gremlin.

Mystiel's arrow shatters against the Gremlin's hide. You notice that this one is more muscular and a little taller. It has several scars that show it's been in a few more fights than the others. It calls out an order in Undercommon and attacks Keldor at the back of the party with it's decorated blade.

Jazvit Attack: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (3) + 7 = 10

Two more Gremlins come from the opening ahead. They attack Irgot from the front.

Gremlin 1 Attack: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (11) + 5 = 16

Gremlin 1 Damage: 1d4 - 2 + 1d6 ⇒ (4) - 2 + (3) = 5

One of the shortswords pierces through the half-orc's thick armor and cuts into his stomach.

Once it's her turn, Ruza will stare at Jazvit, giving him a -2 on his will saves. Then she'll walk up to him, as she's casting and say "Why are you attacking us? Give that to me now." She reaches out with her palm up as if she were demanding an offer. She stopped 5 feet away from him. Will DC is 17 and he has a -2 on his save. If he fails, he hands me one item that he is holding.

Rogar moves up to stand beside Keldor, 10 feet from Jazvit. Seeing Ruza's plan, he doesn't attack (yet).

Rogar will ready an action to attack Jazvit if he tries to attack anyone.

Is it possible to get some idea of where we and the gremlins are on the map? A lot of Rogar's tactics depend quite a lot on positioning and it's difficult to know what he can pull off without knowing where everybody is.


Since I forgot to roll for Initiative, I'm just going to have the party go and alternate between monsters and party.

The gremlin leader hands over his weapon. The other gremlins seem confused and lower their own blades just a bit.

I got the map pretty close to where it should be. Irgot's in the front. Keldor's in the back. You're in the second position. The tunnels are actually too tight for you to get back to Keldor. You can ready an action to attack the gremlins in the front, though.

Ruza nods as the Goblin leader hands her his weapon. "Just what were you thinking attacking us. You should know better." she back up away from him and nods her head.

Frustrated by the ineffectiveness of his arrows against the gremlins' skin, Myst pulls his stake from his boot and moves around to try to give Keldor a flank instead.

Oliver will ready a cure light wounds spell to cast on the first person who takes damage that drops them more than half.


Keldor punches the leader in the face while an underling avoids Irgot's swing.

Oliver heals Irgot.

The gremlin leader leaps upon Keldor and tries to bite him while the two weaker ones take up flanking on Irgot's side.

as a free action, Ruza intensifies her gaze at Jazvit. "I thought i told you it was foolish for you to attack us. Now stop that." she casts Forbid Action DC is 17 Will, he still has a -2 and everyone from this point, gets an extra 1 point of damage per dice roll on him. The actions she's forbidding is to attack.

His anger clouding his tactics, Keldor swings big but only cracks the floor where the Gremlin was a moment before.

Misread lifeline earlier. Those given life link, if under 5 hit points under half their health, are healed five as Oliver takes 5 damage. This occurs at the start of Oliver's turn.


Irgot is not 5 below half yet. I'll let you know when he is. Just waiting on Mystiel.

Gods I'm bad at this. The REAL way Life link works is if the blessed person takes more than 5 points of damage BELOW maximum hit points, they heal for 5 and I take 5 damage. Gods, Why am i so bad at this?


Okay. Irgot heals 5hp. Oliver takes 5 damage.

Obviously freaked out by not being able to attack suddenly, the leader of the gremlins calls out an order to his followers. They all suddenly disappear in a flash of light.

Since that was a spell-like ability, everyone pick a gremlin in your reach to take an attack of opportunity against.

Cursing under his breath and turning back to the group, Keldor points at the Gremlin's blade that Ruza took from the leader, and wonders aloud.

"That looked unique. Irgot? Rogar? Any idea who made it? Ruza, does it appear enchanted?"


After the flash of light, a dead gremlin lies near the room ahead, smashed by Rogar's hammer. Irgot's blade is likewise covered in dark blue blood. A solid, but sadly nonfatal, hit. The blade taken from the leader appears to be of masterwork quality. Probably stolen from someone else.

Well, I picked up a Potion of Cure Moderate earlier in the game somewhere if you need it desperately.
Although, I thought Oliver was absorbing some of your damage somehow? I'm not sure...


I think Oliver is at 6/11 and Irgot is at 6/9 from the life link ability. At least as far as it was explained.

The gremlins blade is more an ornate dagger. The design is common among well of Numenerians.


You head into the cavern ahead. This chamber is littered with piles of refuse and garbage and useless trinkets. The gremlins are in here. The last of the smaller ones has a large gash along it's chest. They are digging through a chest on the far wall and pull out a pair of potions. Each of them drinks one.

Jazvit healing: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (7) + 1 = 8
