I like that, Maybe Einar should worship Desna, he considers himself agnostic.

so Crummock Isn't going to be upset when Einar rips of their heads with his teeth.

The benefit of fire resistance ;)

Feel free to retcon any conversations with Bort.

Our first reaction was "How many posts?"

We are grabbing some after game gossip and grub. Will try to read the gameplay once we get home.

My goodness you were busy. Wow!

I think when I ran with Robert, single player gestalt, we did Black waters in a week and a day.

Then with Robert and Luke, Silver Mount Collection took 1 week or so :p

This is how we managed to make it through modules in record time ;-)

@Einar: Crummock won't be troubled in the slightest - apart from maybe a slight wistful regret; he just never encountered flaming skeletons before...

Strange Aeons Grp 2 |

Also the reason why I take on GMing only 1 PBP at one time ;)

For my sanity :)

Hopefully we will be able to have a lot of new experiences for Crummock! By the way I love the name, it reminds me of

This was a character in a Joe Abercrombie book. I din't realize the name was exact until I googled it ;)

I love the "greyness" of Joe's Characters and Einar is slightly designed after the northerners, not quite Threetrees but not quite Black Dow either.

Sorry for confusion in post, I misread damage the first time, edited it correctly.

Yes, for some reason, Crummock always seemed Welsh/Celtic hill folk to me, so I decided to (loosely) work some of that into this PC :-)

It must have been his kilt and his love for two-handed weapons.

Einar raging

Also, Honey Badger doesn't care

Retired to Triaxius

Einar wishes he was as cool as wolverine. The funny part is I opened the "Honey Badger" video first and it reminded me of a wolverine, of course the terrain was entirely wrong!

Eee. Tried taking some charcoal pills? Or maybe it's smelling too much Trog ;)

Strange Aeons Grp 2 |

The problem with CDG, if you're using sleep/slumber hex as a trigger is the damage will wake them up, so you want to kill them or at least get them to negatives outright. The DC not to die is 10+ dmg done, which is, if you have a strength penalty, sort of low.

Ideally you want to power attack with a hooked lance/heavy pick for the x4 modifier. I've seen a CDG with a musket pointed right at the bad guys brains too...it works.

Obviously, nasty, vicious GM here has done it several times...as a PC.

That is the first time I've ever done it, as a player or a character.

Hmm

Retired to Triaxius

Just got back, so are the trogs CDG?

Strange Aeons Grp 2 |

That's...rare, Cadence. I've CDGed so often that I can do it without feeling anything. To me it is but a means to an end.

Yes. They're dead. Cadence CDGed them.

I'm an alternate solutions and live capture player. I'm known for this in PFS. It feels really weird to CDG even fictional monsters.

Hmm

Strange Aeons Grp 2 |

In PFS where the lodge is not far away(or 1 Ddoor/teleport away) etc, live capture might still be possible. But there may be times you're stuck in the wildness(very relevant to APs) and the next town is a long, long way to go. Will you be shepherding a whole bunch of captives with you till when you can dump them off? Also, how about feeding them through the entire journey(since you may want to keep them tied up and keep a close watch on them)?

Or perhaps the better way may be to leave them to their own business, after extracting a promise not to go bother humans again. But after you're gone, do you think you can trust them to keep their word?

Yes, the word expediency rears its ugly head.

Hmm

It depends on the character I'm playing, if it's a high cha. good character, I will talk before and during fights offering other alternatives. If it's a good character he will talk but not expect any changes. then not CDG unless necessary.

my neutral characters tends to be more pragmatic, but usually doesn't CDG sentient neutral creatures. Though evil monsters they are less concerned about.

Retired to Triaxius

headed to work, be back on in a couple.

Strange Aeons Grp 2 |

Cadence - your damage modifiers are 1 off. When you use a 2 handed weapon, like a Guisarme, you deal 1.5 x damage. So your base would be 2d4+4, with flag will be 2d4+5. Sickened would be 2d4+3, due to the -2, so you would do 6 points of damage to Turrok once you get a flank.

You're right. I need to adjust my math in my stat block. So long as it's pre-formatted for me, I'm okay. But Pathfinder math is not a strong suit.

Hmm

I believe it is 1.5 Strength damage. I think flag bearer and sickened are done outside the multiplier.

Non-raging Str 16, so +3 becomes +4, goes back to +3 after Flag and sickened.

Raging, Str 18, so +4 becomes +6, goes to +5 after Flag and sickened.

Strange Aeons Grp 2 |

Sorry, Crummock, will move you a bit to give Cadence flank, just to finish off this fight. I believe you have the move squares to do so.

Yes, I had enough movement to do that.

Retired to Triaxius

so is it dead yet? I will swing over to the game

Strange Aeons Grp 2 |

Its very dead. Look at that cdg!

so BretI and Hmm, you are both in Minnesota? That would be central time. I'm in eastern but I work third and post a lot from work.

Yeah, I'm up way late. I am enjoying the RP with this group a lot. But I'm worried about keeping up with all of you. I'm a lark. I like to be up at 6-7am.

I may be in the wrong time zone for this group!

The other possibility is that I create a detailed block of preformatted bot rolls in my spoiler to help you guys bot me when you go until 2 am my time... but that seems like a lot of work to put on either the GM or other players.

Hmm

we just need to be patient, If you post when you are up, and then in the morning you would do fine.

I would rather work with you on the posting rate and times than try and find another player of the same quality and experience.

I was in a game where the GM designated times for high rates of posting, it was usually Saturday evening, We would post like fiends during that four or five hours, then the rest of the week it was more like once or twice a day.

Not saying that's what we should do, but there are creative ways to get through a game ;)

Going to bed now.

If I was still on day shift I would have been in bed hours ago! Have a good nights sleep.

Strange Aeons Grp 2 |

I think we can do my mornings till about noon, then start again from 8 pm.

Another possibility is to give me a rough idea on what your character would do in battle, and I will carry it out.

Problem is it takes away player freedom of choice...

Retired to Triaxius

does Cadence's rage song increase strength, dex or con? And does she determine that or do we?

Edit:Never mind, found it

I couldn't think of anything to filk, so this is an original. Night all!

Yeah, we'll talk and try to figure out how we can make this work.

Hmm

Strange Aeons Grp 2 |

Str and con. I did a quick study in skald. Sweet dreams, Hmm!

Strange Aeons Grp 2 |

Id say if you bullrush, you're looking at CMD 15, and on succesful bullrush, pot lands on him, he takes 1d6 bludgeoning + str mod, and 1d6 fire for a hotpot(also lands on the bullrusher), but I suppose honey badgerEinar doesn't care.

Retired to Triaxius

aaawwwhhhh, I've got the javelin attack all typed up,

Strange Aeons Grp 2 |

Thats ok too ;) Don't use too many pots its bad for you.

Retired to Triaxius

I guess I need to start thinking more like a wizard ;)

EDIT: I must confess, I liked your idea better than mine, it seemed more In character.

Retired to Triaxius

don't forget about the crit! Crummock

Strange Aeons Grp 2 |

Ignore the throne, it isn't there.

I was hoping you would spill the pot on him ;)
