Here.. will finish purchasing gear and loose ends this morning.
Here's a list with links to characters (or their application posts) for those of us who want to take a look at each other:
Aranel, female elven stargazer Oracle
Chez, male human two-weapon fighter
Kowaru, male half-orc monk of the lotus
Ialda, female half-elven barbarian
Xarnethi, female human aquatic sorceress
Three women!

Ialda Soumral |

DM, thanks for the pick! You know I love your games, even though I have a nasty habit of dying, lol.
I have to pick one trait, and that should finish off everything. Can't wait to get started.
To everyone selected, you got lucky...Lucendar is one of the very best GM's on this site!

Lucendar |

@Ialda: Thanks but too much praise. The better the characters and the rp, the more I get into the story.
@Aranel: In case you were wondering, not too many traps. As for locked doors, you can always bash them. But up to the party if someone wants to take the skill.
@Stardust: Xarnethi does sound more exotic, that's fine with me. Although no one will be able to tell unless you tell them or they see your name in writing.

Xarethi Kalamnus |

oops.... Well, it was originally Xarethi, but I somehow got the name spelled wrong. So we'll go with Xerathi so I don't have to go through the whole thing of making another profile. Sorry about that.
Edit: Fixed... Now I just need to make sure I have it spelled right in the other three places... I also need to update my equipment. I never know what to buy. :P

I was looking at this list of traits: Traits list
As long as the trait is from the regional list and it makes sense with the character's background, I am fine with it. Wharf Rat is on the list and swimming makes sense with an aquatic sorceress.

Lucendar |

Okay, so just to clarify, we have one trait, plus the Regional trait, which does not mean we come from that region. Its just more to flesh out the character background?
Generally, yes, but if you pick a trait that is associated with a region, there had better be something in your background that states how you acquired it (i.e. spent many years there, born there, etc.).

I apologize in advance for any inappropriate behaviour which Chez may demonstrate towards the fairer of the genders :)
I can't wait to read your letters to your father, Chez. Sounds like they are going to be most entertaining!
And DM, I am pretty sure I will be taking Artifact Hunter (Mwangi) as my regional trait.

Ok, though you were my odds on favorite to take a trait with Knowledge (local) since you are from this region. Hopefully, someone else will take it.

Lucendar |

Ok, time to review sheets. Please excuse my finickiness, just easier for me.
@Xarethi:
Please list weight, height, eye and hair color in your profile.
Could you list your skills with ranks?
Is sorcerer your favored class? And if so, please state you chose extra skill point at 1st level somewhere on character sheet.
Could you list out the benefits of your feats on the sheet?
Could you paste your background into your profile? I sometimes will bring in plot points based on a character's history.
Your currency: in gp? gems? trade bars? Where do you carry your 70 gp?

Kowaru |

Kowaru has been statted out. I suspect he'll be taking points in Disable Device later on, as he'll probably have the stats for it. Not at creation, though.
I will be taking Quain martial artist. I don't think he came from Quain, but it's to reflect that the masters he studied under had many different styles. Master Ping is definitely from Quain.

@Chesley:
Please list weight, height, eye and hair color in your profile.
Could you list your skills with ranks with and without ACP?
Is fighter your favored class? And if so, please state you chose extra hit point at 1st level somewhere on character sheet.
Could you list out the benefits of your feats on the sheet?
Could you list the benefits of your traits?
Pick 1 free regional trait
If you plan on writing letters, I suggest you buy inkpen, ink, and parchment
List remaining money left and how/where you carry it

Kowaru |

@Chesley: Worry no more! Your unfriendly neighborhood half-orc is here!
@Xarethi: Kowaru's never been to Elenar before, so it didn't make sense for him to take it. I might do that with later skill points.
~@Lucendar: Crud, favored class bonus! I always forget that. I think I'll take hp, and make sure I get the rest of that stuff you're asking about on my sheet as well.

Lucendar |

@Kowaru:
Please list weight, height, eye and hair color in your profile.
Could you list your skills with ranks
Could you list out the benefits of your feats on the sheet and list which was your bonus feat at 1st level?
Diplomacy skill should be +4 not +3 (forgot +1 from trait)
List remaining money left and how/where you carry it

DM, that makes sense. I can certainly do that. I don't know the region that well, and didn't know if I'd qualify, lol. I will be the Know. Local Queen!

Lucendar |

@Ialda:
What favored class bonus did you take at 1st level? Please list.
Longspear is 2-handed weapon so you do: +4/1d8+4 damage normally, and +3/1d8+7 damage when you power attack (list these values on sheet)
Heavy Flail: +4 hit/1d10+4; +3 hit/1d10+7 when you power attack
Power attack: normally, -1 hit/+2 damage (not +1 as your sheet says); -1 hit/+3 damage with 2-handed weapons
Swim skill is +7/+6 in studded leather (-1 ACP)
Languages: List Common

I should have made all the changes you requested, Lucendar. I will link a character sheet, and some images in a short while (possibly Tomorrow)
Wow, you're short! I was thinking of good-looking Hollywood actresses who are short and Hayden Panettiere is 5'1" as is Salma Hayek and Eva Longoria is between 5' and 5'2", so it's possible!

She's young too, though. By the time she's 24, maybe she'll grow another 4 to 6 inches.

Ok, we're almost ready to start. To those not familiar with PbPs or my style of GMing, mechanics wise, here are my guidelines:
I roll initiative for each member and the monsters and then list them in order
Unless the PC states he is actively searching, I roll Perception checks
In my world, all movement, even diagonal, costs 1 square, unless it's difficult terrain
I assume you know the PF rules and may warn you about an AoO the first time but only once (example, moving through threatened square or shooting ranged weapon in a threatened square)
I usually roll saves unless failure may result in a PC's death, then I let the player roll
If sufficient time has passed and a player has not posted in combat, he will go all defense or just lose turn or I may NPC him, given the situation
Please be patient with my maps (they will not be works of art), I don't have Maptools, I use Excel and images I find on the internet, but they will convey the general idea of positioning and area
If you're going to be absent for extended period of time, let the group know
I picked your characters mainly for their value rp-wise, so express it in play with NPCs and I think you can be quite effective in combat too
I try to be realistic with NPCs and their reactions to the players, both out of and in combat
I don't appreciate obvious metagaming in game (example a vicious looking bugbear appears and kills a king's guard in one blow and you yell out to the party: bugbears have max 27 hps, we can take him out!)
I love cinematic scenes/moments in combat so you will see them often
Well, that's it for now. Please feel free to comment on my style/guidelines, as I'm always looking to improve.

Chesley "Chez" Saryn |

@Chesley:
Indicate fighter is favored class and that you took +1 hp at 1st level
Need skills marked with ranks
List benefit of Ease of Faith
Your trait of Watching Taldor does not make sense with your background; it is associated with Qadira, enemies of Taldor.
Whoops. I only read the trait summary for that... my bad.
All is fixed / amended now.
