BACKGROUND

Care-free is the best word which describes Chez. His father runs a notable shipping company. Chez was his first child and his only son, of which 3 daughters followed. His father had worked his way up in life from swabbing ship decks to running his own company with a small fleet of ships. His father has become a ruthless businessman and had a hard life growing up and it was his intent to ensure Chez could enjoy the fruits of his hard labour. Chez was somewhat spoiled as he grew up and never quite developed the same hard work ethic his father had. His father largely let Chez do what ever he wanted. As Chez became a man, his father sat him down and imbibed some very important wisdom into him. Chez was considering settling down with a young woman he had recently met. "My son, there are plenty of fish in the sea and you get a life time to sample them all." Chez expected his father to laugh after this, but he did not. This actually made Chez think deeply about which direction he wanted to take his life. Chez quickly brushed off the relationship and began travelling and sampling. His father was so wise.
Chez is a charismatic, handsome man whose skill with wielding dual cutlasses is as notable as his conquests in some of the finer inn rooms around the Inner Sea. Adventure and thrill seeking are Chez's main goals in life and he pursues them at most every opportunity he gets.
He has recently found himself in Port Peril, looking for work. He found a quaint little inn called the Formidably Maid. "I'll be the judge of that", he though to himself.
There were a few comely lasses in the bar, so he began talking them up trying to exude his charm to claim yet another "victory". He told them story after story which seemed to really keep their attention. A few sailors were listening in and also enjoyed his tales.. so much so, that they bought him a few beers. Chez was thought things were really looking up for him... a couple of women lined up for the evening and free beer! Soon-after he blacked out.
