Why play a Minotaur? Minotaurs are one of my favorite creatures, right up there with titans and goblins :) They are a really interesting mix of human and beast with an enhanced primal fury and giant size tacked on. The flavour of never getting lost in mazes is also really neat. I once built a teleporting grappler minotaur that would poof in, grab you and poof you to random parts in the maze, then deal with you at his leisure, was fun!
What about them interests you the most? Large size, feral aspect and powerful charge. The gore attack with the massive horns and the added damage that comes out on a charge just gives me a terrifying shudder every time I think about it. This is also the reason I like rhinos so much XD
What is essential to its coolness in your eyes? The horns, hair and hoofs does it for me :) Out of the different heads that a half human, half beast could have, cat, bear, lion, dog, goat, boar or bison, I would have to say the bison looks the most feral and intimidating :) I guess things to keep: Horns, hair, hooves, bison head, large size and natural fury.

Why play a faun?
Hm… Questions, they trouble me. I think it's largely because they're the gentler equivalent to the satyrs, though I may wish to take up some satyr-like abilities to make my faun more on par with the rest of you folks. IIRC, the satyr's CR is higher than the faun's (which is a measley 1!). But again, I like the idea of being a less… overly masculine personification of freedom and joy. From the looks of it, our little band will need that.
What about them interests you most?
Hm… mostly flavor, honestly. I like how they're characterized.
What is essential to its coolness in your eyes?
As I said before, mostly flavor. Perhaps I should just play a reflavored satyr?

Speaking of...
How does this sound? Bump him up a couple of HD and add this supernatural ability.
At-will: Polymorph any Object, self only. The doppelganger is able to polymorph into any object. The doppelganger remains aware of it's surroundings with it's own senses, if the new form has a method of moving, then the doppelganger may have limited mobility (rocking a chair back and forth, rolling ball, etc) As with polymorph, any equipment and clothing is melded into the new form. Alway's on abilities remain active while those requiring activation are unavailable until a form is selected. Size is limited from tiny to large. Every 5 HD up the maximum size increases by one catagory.
Telepathy: The doppelganger has telepathy, range 100'.
Think Odo from DS9.

In case the bagiennik is too unappealing, I'm thinking a male drider would be interesting. I like this description from the SRD: "A male drider's lower body is bulky like a tarantula, while its upper body is wiry and bears a hideous face more spider than drow, complete with fanged mandibles."
Why play a drider? It's monstrous yet human. The oddity of a spider body is appealing and I like how the creative symbolism matches up with sorcerer abilities. "Weaving" magic into the world.
What about them interests you the most? The creative aspect and the ability to be monstrous and still use items as a human. Not really attached to the detect abilities it has.
What is essential to its coolness in your eyes? The spider aspect and not having a normal looking humanoid half. Weaving webs and trapping prey. The web spell is essential for this and the ability to climb on walls. A lot of the other spells could be swapped out.

So..the whole 'Getting around not having hands' is just a tad annoying to me. While I do like the idea of a 'Young Sphinx' and am happy to 'default' to this critter I was wondering.
Would a Cecaelia (Bestiary 3 Pg: 49) which is CR 3 be okay? Thought of adding the Half-Janni and the Advanced Template to create a 'Mini' Scylla. Thoughts? Comments?
Best wishes to all. :)

*HUGZ* Both to those with whom I'm playing with and also to those who await in the wings should some misadventure befall our...um...Well, we're not actually heroes...are we...?
Shan't have free time to work upon "Lady Sphinx" until the week end at least. Also...any one have pointers one what a name for such a being might be?
Very much cheers to all.

Thanks, I look forward to it! As far as a name for a sphinx you could go Egyptian: Sekhmet, the lion solar goddess. Or Greek: Phix. Or maybe some other inspiration here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sphinx
Or maybe something tied to lions. Apparently the Hebrew word for lion is Lavi.

True, at this point, you just need a name, an idea about personality, and maybe some background. I'd also like to have you chose any feats and skills that you may want to switch out.
Most of you have been in captivity for several years (4-5 is probably good), long enough for you to not know the exact amount. I'm thinking Relio was take either in egg form (born in captivity) or only minutes after hatching, so you ave less to do. >:)

Relio'Than |

That works. Nothing like playin' fresh blood right out of the egg.
Swapping skills and feats huh? Hmmm...I get the feeling that heal and diplomacy would not be readily practiced by a newborn dragon who's known only torture. they might be innate talents for a dragon, but not likely a focus.
Swappable feats...lets see. Nothing particularly noteworthy in current feats, though focus: bite is probably a good one to keep. Other than that, feel free to surprise me.

Sidra Anguis |

Sidra's backstory/background is now posted on her profile page. If any changes need to be made, shroderingscat, please advise.
I would like to keep Point-Blank Shot and Precise Shot for my feats and in regard to my skills, keep Perception, Disguise and Bluff. I will, however, leave it to your capable hands to determine the nature of Sidra's mutilations and necessary changes/adaptations. This will be interesting. Surprise me, too. :)
