Here's for Roet Heineous - Oracle/Barbarian, going for the prestige class Rage Prophet. Crunch to follow... RP and questions first! :)
1. Your experience with the rules.
I have been GMing games for quite a while, Pathfinder included (and for the past five years, this was the system I played the most, not via forums). I know the rules well, and I understand GMs might have their own set of custom rules.
2. Your experience with PbP.
I play PbPs for many, many years now. Here in the Paizo forums, just the last two or three, but in other forums I played a lot more. I'm playing in some other games at the moment, and I think I'm catching up with the Paizo commands. I post usually once per day, but I try to make it count.
3. Expectations for playing and what you want out of the experience.
I always hope to have fun with the character and the party. I think I love RPing and combat equally, so if the campaign has both elements, I trust it might be a blast. I hope it lasts, different than many campaigns I see here in the Paizo forums.
4. Philosophy as a PbP player.
I respect the other players and characters and I expect the same. I understand the type of environment we are and that some people just like to have their little star shining, but at the end of the day I try to make it clear we're all in the same boat.
5. Why you are applying to this game?
I always wanted to play Way of the Wicked. I don't particularly care much for Gestalt, as much as I can think the class combination is cool - it might work in this campaign, though. I heard it's a tough one (I just hope, if I get in, we don't end up in a group with a bunch of powergamers).
6. Define what you think good role-playing is in PbP.
I believe it's sticking to the profile of the character, but posting in a concise and clear way anyway. Other words, I think it's cool to interpret mannerisms, accents and whatnot, but since it's a PbP, I'd much rather see these condensed and made clear in such way that the actions are in evidence. The rhythm and media of PbPs require the posts to be much more clear and pace moving.
7. What is your experience with this adventure path?
None. We were planning running it in my tabletop games, but we ended up with a different (custom) campaign.
Step 1:Write 5 background and concept elements that you feel are important to your image of the character. These can be a concept overview, a list of important life events, a physical description, a personality profile...whatever you need to get an image in your mind. 5 is just a minimum...more elements are encouraged!
1 - Roet's powers don't come from study and dedication; they come naturally, from his rage itself. He isn't intelligent or wise at all; he's charismatic and slippery.
2 - He's in the line to become a "Rage Prophet" (hence the combination of Barbarian and Oracle) and everything about him goes around this single concept. He's basically a very angry guy who sometimes cast spells, and in the future will cast much more frequently (while raging...).
3 - He likes to promote anarchy to a certain point; he isn't exactly chaotic, but the daemon harbinger he follows as his deity (Anogetz) promotes coups and revolution for all the wrong reasons.
4 - He's physically very daemon-like, even for a tiefling, but tries to hide it the best he can. Most of the time, however, he embraces his fiendish side. In combat, he becomes very feral, specially when he rages.
5 - Roet was abandoned to die as a child, survived and was raised with beasts and was found over two decades later and raised by a daemon worshipper in the isolated forests. He is monstrous, naturally, but learned to use his "forked tongue" to get his way when he had to go to the cities (as an emissary of his "stepfather", usually to plant disagreements and lies).
Step 2: List at least two goals for the character. At least one of these goals should be one that the character has, while another should be one that you, as a player, want to see developed over the course of the game.
1 - Roet would like to twist powers in the most "organized" human cities, and Talingarde might be his main target. He understands the power of the city is strongly tied to its faith, so he wants to attack such with all his power. He desecrated Mitra's cathedral by writing in his walls lies, and pretending to be the god itself inciting people to go against its own paladins.
2 - The tiefling would like to become an embodiment of his deity; an avatar of evil revolution and destruction. He is somewhat obsessed with it and will try to follow as such, even if completely under the hood, in the shadows.
Step 3: List at least two secrets about your character. One is a secret the character knows, one is a secret that involves him but that he is not actually aware of yet. This will help me in creating plots that center around your character. I will also be creating a third secret which you as a player will not be aware of, so expect some surprises!
1 - Roet never knew his parents. He was abandoned to die in the forests, and survived for whatever crazy reason fate had. One of them is a kyton, a chain devil, and he (or she, even better!) might not like the fact he/she had a son he wanted to die, but survived.
2 - The tiefling didn't learn to speak until he had already a couple decades of life. He lived as a beast and hunted as such, praising the might of beasts and becoming very resilient. When he finally learned, he just got the basics, and focused his reading on the religious writings.
Step 4: Describe at least three people that are tied to the character. Two of them are friendly to the character, one is hostile. If you like, you can include an enemy of yours here as well, so I have an instant NPC nemesis to throw at you.
1 - Shando is an orc, worshipper of Anogetz, and the mentor of Roet. He was the one who trained the tiefling and raised him almost as a son when he found him in the forests. He lives isolated, in the forests, with his daughter, near a hidden shrine to their deity. He is now a very old man.
2 - Zalootha is a teenager female orc and daughter of Shando. She's like a much younger sister of Roet and likes to follow her big brother steps, even though they're very different physically. Like her father and "brother", she's very feral-like and maybe even more than them, she hates cities. Her mother was killed by the paladins of Mitra.
3 - Sir Balin of Karfeld had been hunting Shando and Roet for a while. He heard of the rumors of the daemon-worshippers in the forests, but never actually could find them.
Step 5:Describe three memories, mannerisms, or quirks that your character has. They don't have to be elaborate, but they should provide some context and flavor
1 - Roet is the silent type, but when he speaks he might smile a little too much.
2 - He likes to attack with his natural weapon (his bite) and he seems to regress a little bit to a more feral state when doing so.
3 - He prefers his food to be raw, and red meat is by far the top of his diet.
1.How does your character interact with the others within a group?
He acts well in a group, as he was raised to hunt in packs. However, he believes once he has a prey, he needs no help to deal with it, and fears competition.
2. What is your character's role in a group?
Roet is a hybrid of divine spell caster and brute force. His role currently is much more of a melee attacker with some spells, but will probably grow more into the divine caster side (I want to evolve him into a Rage Prophet).
3. How is your character not as they seems? I want one or two skills that would surprise others if they found out he knows them. Also include personality traits, positive or negative, that would similarly surprise others.
He's silent and slippery, with very good diplomacy, but at the same time very feral in combat. Although he isn't really intelligent or wise, he strongly worships a deity and has religious studies.
4. What are your character's goals, conscious and, perhaps, subconscious?
He likes to pervert power and, at the same time, incite violence. He's neutral evil, and acts as such. He wants to become an avatar of destructive revolution.
5. How easily does your character love? Have they been in love?
He had never been in love, but he's loyal to his "family" and capable of loving.
6. Is your character racist at all, either now or in their past?
He isn't racist, neither had been. He comes from a minority itself, and values might over race.
7. All people believe something that is not true, both about the world around them and about themselves. What lies/untruths does your character believe about themselves and the world around them?
Roet believes it's possible to live without the boundaries of law and chaos, but it's clearly impossible. He lies to himself in this matter, and this might even lead to some level of madness. He believes his parents died and would never have abandoned him, what's not true... He was left to die, and had other half-brothers and sisters left to die before him.
8. How is your character about material possessions?
He likes material possessions, especially the ones he can acquire easily and that originally didn't belong to him.
9. What does your character perceive their major problems to be?
He's physically too much of a fiend, and always has to go around it in order to achieve his goals somehow. It's hard for him to not receive a reaction from the people who deal with him.
10. What does he perceive the solutions to those problems to be?
He knows there are ways to better hide his true form and will pursue these ways. For now, he just dresses robes and whatever needed to hide.
11. What are your character's religious beliefs?
He worships Anogetz, a daemon harbinger of coups, revolution, animal attacks, evil, destruction, etc. - and acts as such...
12. What does your character fear?
Roet fears his own mortality, and he fears what he lacks intellectually might be the cause of it. Most of all, though, he fears being caged. He loves his freedom.
13. How much of a temper does your character have? What sorts of things set them off?
Roet is calm and quiet most of the time, but the opportunity of combat ignites raging fire on him, and he just "lets go" in these situations.

Lady Erin |

All parties need one noble, so here's my special snowflake.
Far longer history than was required. Feel free to suggest changes.
Character sheet in profile.
Usual appearance
Erin as priestess
1. Your experience with the rules.
About two years of Pathfinder. Dungeons & Dragons rules from red box D&D / AD&D first edition, with a pause during 3rd edition. Most play recently in Pathfinder Society, three 10-11 characters and many lower.
2. Your experience with PbP.
A bit under two years, but not in english. Longest PbP game finished took over a year. One ongoing english PbP.
3. Expectations for playing and what you want out of the experience.
I would like a long story with characters developing together as a group, through in-character interaction. The PFS style makes it a bit hard to develop relationships between characters, and I would like to expand that area in my roleplaying.
4. Philosophy as a PbP player.
I try to interact with other characters according to their descriptions, to get their personalities show better in the story. I don't force them to do anything, but try to leave a lot of possibilities they can hook on.
5. Why you are applying to this game?
I would like to experience a long story with a stable group of characters, who develop inter-character relationships during game.
Also, I tried to make a character like this for PFS but due to the amount of feats archery needs found it weak. With gestalt I think it can be made to work nicely.
6. Define what you think good role-playing is in PbP.
PbP offers a great way to bring the role-play aspects of the character forward, without taking the spotlight from other characters. Good role-playing will bring out the character while simultaneously helping other players playing their characters.
7. What is your experience with this adventure path?
None. I have read the player guide and heard some rumors.
Step 1:Write 5 background and concept elements that you feel are important to your image of the character. These can be a concept overview, a list of important life events, a physical description, a personality profile...whatever you need to get an image in your mind. 5 is just a minimum...more elements are encouraged!
Lady Anne, Countess of Windmoor, and her landless noble husband Harold made a pact with heavenly forces, to further the cause of good in Talingarde. They decided that Anne should give birth to a child of angelic blood and found a garuda who was willing to be the father.
A daughter was born, and named Lady Eleonora of Windmoor. There were signs that she was favored by divine powers, and her mother and stepfather were overjoyed. Windmoor, a remote and insignificant county in the kingdom, could help the king with this destined child.
Harold's younger brother Argus lived with them in Windmoor, and his daughter Joanna befriended Eleonora. Together they played and sneaked around the castle, generally annoying their parents. They were both in love with stories and spent much of their time in library. Their favorite stories were about strange creatures from outside, especially devils and their trickery pacts. Eleonora's favorites were the Erinyes.
Her parents had hoped for a son, to fight for the cause of good. Their slight disappointment soon faded after Eleonora was given basic combat training expected of noble women. She excelled in martial practices, especially with the bow. Her concentration was impressive, and she spent most of the daylight hours training under the guidance of Herman Woods, captain of her mother's men.
With her cousin Joanna, Eleanora spent time searching even more exiting books about devils. To their surprise, in a hidden stash they found texts about Asmodeus, a magic scroll and notes, written by Argus and describing rituals of the forbidden god. Together they started studying the rites.
During the library studies, Eleonora also found out the bloodlines of her ancestors. As with almost every other noble in the land due to intermarriages, she could trace her lineage to an ancient king. She studied the heritage carefully and became convinced that all other lines were in some way illegal and her mother should be queen.
Eleanora's father's blood started to show around puberty. Her body began to grow feathers. She absolutely hated them, and whenever she found one plucked it out. Joanna suggested to her that as she was so good with the bow and feathers suggested flight, she was almost like an erinyes. She liked the idea of having wings, and decided to go with the name of Erin, shortened from erinyes. She had always disliked Eleonora, which was a name of her ancestor, who was known as a example of devoted wife. Erin wanted to be important by herself, not as a wife of someone.
Erin and Joanna met a stranger who called himself Fernando, who somehow knew of their dabbling with the forbidden god. He took the girls to his secret temple and taught them further in the ways of Asmodeus. Joanna was more careful, but Erin took the studies with excitement. Fernando supported Erin in her thoughts about her lineage and helped her find faults in every other family line and skillfully skipping problems in hers.
The sneaky meetings with Fernando came to an end when captain Herman happened upon Fernando's house. Erin was tied up and completely on the mercy of the stranger. Herman charged in and stopped what he perceived as assault on his prime student. Erin had in fact quite enjoyed her time in Fernando's hands, but they had a problem. If they admitted the relationship, her parents would probably stop it, send Fernando away and clean the house. The cleaning would uncover the shrine to Asmodeus. So, as assault on her was a lesser crime, she decided to sue Fernando and demanded the place of crime to be burned to the ground. The blasphemous shrine was destroyed, but her plan failed as her stepfather sent Fernando to Brandenscar anyway.
The relationship left it's mark, as later Erin gave birth to a daughter. She took good care of her, telling herself it was to honor the memory of Fernando. To take her mind off the memories her parents sent her to learn law in the capital, also in preparation for her future as she was to rule the county. She learned the laws of the land, and used her knowledge found stronger cases for invalidating the royal heritage.
Later, the king called her family to a meeting of nobles in the capital. Although she knew she wasn't prepared and was alone, Erin couldn't pass this opportunity to attack. She had the scroll found at Argus's stash and teachings of Fernando, and decided to summon a devil to kill key members of the royal line. She sneaked out of the meeting, and started a summoning ritual. For the first time, she heard a clear voice of command in her head, demanding her to sacrifice her daughter to get the help of a devil. She took her daughter to the summoning ring, but looking at the little girl tears came to her eyes and she stopped, sacrificial knife raised. Erin might have left the summon there, if suddenly her parents hadn't found her. They were horrified, cried, and ran to stop Erin, who panicked and brought the knife down. She got her devil, an erinyes as she had hoped. She commanded it to kill her parents, and devil obeyed, putting several arrows to each. Erin commanded the devil to follow, and ran after the nobles she had planned to kill, but the devil, bound to do only one task, left. She was caught by the king's guards and accused of blasphemy and murder.
Erin used all of her legal knowledge trying to get herself out of the trouble. She managed to drag on the trial for quite long, which made it possible for her to get legal rights to the title of countess. She was, by the laws, innocent until proven guilty and the king didn't want more legal trouble with the skilled young woman. After knowing she wouldn't get out of trouble and would be sentenced to death anyway, she tried to get more time by letting the king's men find her notes of the plan to kill the king and raise to queen. It didn't help much as the trial for high treason was swift and she was sent to Brandenscar without delay.
Step 2: List at least two goals for the character. At least one of these goals should be one that the character has, while another should be one that you, as a player, want to see developed over the course of the game.
Erin wants to be the queen. She is not so much interested in everyday ruling, she wants the title so that officially she is the highest authority around. She isn't content of being wife of a king and supporting him, she wants to be a ruling queen, and her possible husband should support her.
I am interested in the vague promise of getting up the ladder step by step, scheming, lying and killing to gain power and status. I like the concept of going through all the way from lowest criminal to high ruler. I would like to see the development of motivations and actions to get power, and the type of power they want.
Step 3: List at least two secrets about your character. One is a secret the character knows, one is a secret that involves him but that he is not actually aware of yet. This will help me in creating plots that center around your character. I will also be creating a third secret which you as a player will not be aware of, so expect some surprises!
Erin knows that Argus, who king considers now the rightful ruler of Windmoor, has done blasphemous things in his past. Of course, same holds for Joanna, who is currently ruling Windmoor as Argus is serving in king's military.
Erin also knows a lot of the legality of the noble titles, some questionable and some clearly illegal.
Erin doesn't know that "Fernando", who is almost nothing he claimed to be, is alive and well, and doesn't care at all of Erin. He tried to use her for his own gain.
Step 4: Describe at least three people that are tied to the character. Two of them are friendly to the character, one is hostile. If you like, you can include an enemy of yours here as well, so I have an instant NPC nemesis to throw at you.
Argus has always thought Erin is too interested in dangerous knowledge, and wasn't overly happy of her friendship with Joanna. With Erin's verdict, he got the confirmation for his suspicion and thinks quartering is too good for her.
Joanna was a good friend to Erin always. She will welcome her back, and Erin knows this. What she doesn't know is if Joanna wants to join the cult of Asmodeus or if she wants Erin to repent and join the church of Mitra.
Captain Herman Woods trained Erin, and never spent much time with her outside training. He does not believe his best student would do anything so rash, as she was always so calm and dedicated to the martial training.
Her garuda father has followed her fall to the hands of Asmodeus with concern. He believes in free will, but the evil is getting too strong for him to ignore.
Step 5:Describe three memories, mannerisms, or quirks that your character has. They don't have to be elaborate, but they should provide some context and flavor
Erin hates her feathers. She likes the idea of having wings, but feathers elsewhere are not acceptable. She keeps plucking them out.
She is very calm, to the point of appearing emotionless. When she talks, she likes to get to the point and is very unskilled in small talk. She thinks this manner would make her appear a just ruler.
She acts as noble, she is accustomed to being served. Combined with her style of talk, she appears very impolite toward people such as waiters or coach drivers, communicating with them just by single words. She wants to be addressed as a noble.
When getting something, she is meticulous in checking the suitability. She checks the quality of workmanship and suitability for her use.
1.How does your character interact with the others within a group?
Erin is not a leader. She is content in taking part of plans, and following them, as long as she is feeling appreciated. She wants to always have plans and agreements, and everyone should be rewarded in a just way.
2. What is your character's role in a group?
Combat role is archer and summoner. She will summon creatures to block out enemies, and then from relative safety shoot with her bow.
Out of combat, with monk physical abilities and trickery domain powers, she can act as a scout. Her ties with the nobility and knowledge of laws might help getting the group out of trouble, and legal backing to their power.
3. How is your character not as they seems? I want one or two skills that would surprise others if they found out he knows them. Also include personality traits, positive or negative, that would similarly surprise others.
Erin is actually quite fun when on free time. She likes to listen to stories, and flirts eagerly. She's dedicated to her studies so it's not often she takes time off, but when she does, she's going all out.
She is good with small children, especially little girls. She thinks children over age of five or so are annoying, but before that she is quite happy with them.
She actually doesn't mind poor conditions as long as they are not constant. She has been in long travels during her training, but as long as there's a warm bath and good meal waiting she doesn't mind getting wet, dirty and tired.
4. What are your character's goals, conscious and, perhaps, subconscious?
She wants to be queen, in title. She wouldn't mind someone being the real power behind the throne as long as she's officially above all.
Erin wants to be a mother again. She won't admit it, and if somehow it shows, she would claim it's just because a queen needs an heir.
5. How easily does your character love? Have they been in love?
She did love "Fernando" with all her heart. Usually, she is quite careful, but by promises of power he charmed her.
Only thing Erin loved more than "Fernando" was her daughter. In any other conditions she wouldn't have killed her, but with a god whispering in her head and getting caught of crime she was pushed over the edge. She misses her, especially in her dreams.
6. Is your character racist at all, either now or in their past?
She isn't racist as she's not happy with her body either. She does believe in the class system, and considers herself above the common people.
7. All people believe something that is not true, both about the world around them and about themselves. What lies/untruths does your character believe about themselves and the world around them?
Erin truly believes that she is the rightful queen. She has blocked out the inconsistencies of her family line and only finds faults in others.
She thinks "Fernando" loved her, and if she knew he's still alive, believes he still loves her.
As a priestess of the god of trickery, and with strong will, she is certain she cannot be tricked or manipulated.
8. How is your character about material possessions?
A certain amount of wealth is necessary. Erin is accustomated to a relatively high standard of living, which she considers the minimum acceptable. However, she isn't greedy and doesn't get attached to material possessions. If she hasn't need for something anymore, she will give it away without too much thought. Material possessions are tools to achieve goals, nothing more.
9. What does your character perceive their major problems to be?
The failed plan made her understand she cannot act alone. She needs allies, preferably some who can excel in tasks she lacks skills at.
She feels the moment of rashness was a sign of weakness, not acceptable for someone who has trained her mind as well as she.
Her powers to control the devil were too weak, as it left before all the tasks were complete. She needs to grow in power and in faith.
10. What does he perceive the solutions to those problems to be?
She must find like-minded people to aid her. Meeting "Fernando" gave her hope that there are others who could join her in the fight against the king, and join the faith of Asmodeus.
More training is needed, and a slower approach. She will now go step by step, getting closer to throne and grow in power until time is right for the final blow.
11. What are your character's religious beliefs?
Erin is a devout priestess of Asmodeus. She believes his way is the best for her, and even best for the whole kingdom. Asmodeus did bless Erin with luck, he's delighted in the irony of a garuda-blooded turning evil.
12. What does your character fear?
She isn't afraid of death except that it would prevent her other goals. More frightening is the thought that she would be locked forever in poverty, or worse, slavery.
13. How much of a temper does your character have? What sorts of things set them off?
Erin is unnaturally calm. She fights without hate, and is not vengeful. She doesn't have any qualms about killing, so if someone betrays her she kills not because of vengeance or hate, but because of practicality. Traitor might betray again, and forgiveness is useless.
She will get angry if someone mocks her garuda heritage, most easily by laughing at the feathers or calling her a bird. Also, clear disregards to her nobility will get her wrath, but it takes a bit more effort to anger her this way than by insulting her garuda blood.
She has trouble hurting little children, especially girls. It will get her tears flowing, and she will lose her usual calm, possibly unable to act at all.

Philo Pharynx |

As she sits in her cell, she focuses and meditates. Her execution date was August 4th, nearly two weeks away. The kind of waiting that could drive a weak mind to madness. While some would be impatient, Talia planned.
They always had a priest available to allow the condemned to grovel and beg for forgiveness to Mitra. On the way to the pyre she will call up her mental armor and reinforce her body. She will cry out for forgiveness and ask to confess her sins. In front of the priest, she will call her blade and strike him down in the name her Infernal Prince. With her hands shackled together she could still hold a blade with only minor problems. If she isn't dead by the time she kills the priest, her next move is to cut her leg hobbles.
Freeing other prisoners will give their foes more targets and allow more guards to be killed. While survival is unlikely, she kept going over the path from the exit to her cell. If they can get keys to gather up other prisoners, then there might be a chance. Sadly, she figured that few of the inmates would be disciplined soldiers, but an expendable mob could also be useful. Even if she dies on that day, she dies fighting the enemy of her Master. She has failed once, but she will never surrender.

Sorry I have not posted anymore feed back I am in Venice right now but I'll be home soon and I will do so then, still recruiting, after that I will be in Paris for the week but I should have better Internet there, also there is no need for a rp sample I will be pursuing you other games/profiles So I can get a really good idea of my potential players. ...I don't want this game to die for lack of trying. ..adding to that is your new to the boards then yes let me know and I will post thee rp samples that I would like to have you reply to ^_^

But that still doesn't allow spontaneous Cure spells, right? Still really good though yeah
Undead domain's ability is pretty cool too. Treat someone as undead for purposes of negative energy healing/damage for a few rounds. Out of combat spontaneous Inflict spells being used for healing a few times a day is pretty nifty.

The Archlich -Phase 1-3 complete, pending narrative/crunch/Reference photos. An interesting idea
Lady Erin -phase1-3 complete, ty for having your narrative right with your plot points, some crunch issues needs the defense blurb and if you can make your skills look as kaseema/rosa do ty
-------------------------------
as to the balance issue i have always held o the idea of it better to ave a team of fighters with great creative players than having each role filled...
--------------------
i will be taking my second look at the applications so far

SOLUTION!!!...every one becomes a vampire ヾ(o✪‿✪o)シ

My point was if we have 2 parties and applicants are 4 fighters, 4 clerics, make parties of 2 fighter-2 cleric, not one party of 4 fighters and the other 4 clerics. For one party, I'm with the great creative players -principle.
I just took the linked sheet and forgot to change the defense part. Changed now.

Still working on the backstory. Sorry for being so slow, I have been prioritizing other things as the deadline seemed so far away (like my other games)... Both of Kederella's classes will be able to heal, but I'm not sure how much she'll focus on it, not much from the start at least. Maybe she'll pick up healing hex at some point for the cool synergy with hex vulnerability. She'll definitely craft some (infernal?) healing potions at some point, but infusions might be delayed a bit.

Xanos- Some crunch issues look to kaseema/rosa as how skills and defense section should look, I have been thinking for your character the holy locks that are welded to your wrist...what if they have been made specifically for you t lock your spirit in this new body and cannot be removed with out divine help, i feel this would force your character into working for a god even though he hates the idea. what do you think...

Here's the "hero lab" crunch for my character. I'll format it properly later on, but at least it gives an idea :)

Rosa Luminaass |

Humm yes with ot the sword she is out of contact with hell, if she dies she is dead, end of story, with it the sword give her soul passage to hell.
We could also say she loses access to her Cleric magics until she gets it back, But I have no idea when you plan to give it back to her so that may limit game a bit.
I had the sword down as a GM NPC, its gives her only what it things she needs etc.
She is a hound of hell in training on the prime so it would be testing her, for all she knows this is yet another test.

Finally "finished" up the backstory for Kendrella. Hopefully it's sufficient. I didn't have as much time to dedicate to it as I might want which is why I wrote it with "'s, but I feel it's at least presentable. I'll add in the missing defenseblurb and then I'll be completely done.
The family lived mostly withdrawn from the rest of society, Kenderella's parents were careful of getting too many close friends as they didn't want people to be envious of the long lives of the elves. They still made sure to keep in touch with various people at court so they would be perceived as respectable members of society and Eliander got to show of his firework. A network of merchants was also maintained in order to export Eliander's fireworks, to buy supplies and to spread Galadriella's books to the masses.
The elves had a small estate at the outskirts of Talingarde. There were several libraries containing all sorts of books. Galadriella had struck a deal with a wizard to magically expand the bookshelves into extra dimensional space so each one could contain several thousand books. Kenderella leafed through pretty much all the books, though she enjoyed the factual times and stories from the real world the most. Inside the great volumes she found many tales of adventure, fantastical things and magic. Especially magic interested her. She found it fascinating with the nearly endless possibilities offered. The young elf decided that she wanted to learn magic. The libraries were searched for all magical books, however while she did find a lot on the subject and learnt it all, she didn't actually find any spell books or anything describing how to cast spells.
For a long time she was content just learning what she could from the books, but eventually her curiosity got the better of her. Kenderella started going out in the city to look for ways to learn more. On one such trip, to one of the seedier taverns in town she met Argus Mendev, a travelling alchemist. He didn't know magic, but he told her about how alchemy could replicate spell effects. Obviously Kenderella was delighted. She already knew a fair bit of alchemy from dealing with fireworks. She managed to convince him to teach her how to make such things in return for some of her father's firework supplies.
Kenderella was a bit nervous when she went to gather the supplies and she didn't want to tell her father what she needed them for so she just went to get them without asking. It was the young elf's first time to take something without permission. She had expected to feel guilty about stealing, but she felt no such thing. Instead she felt great that she would acquire more knowledge and get something useful for herself.
Argus was true to his word and he started teaching Kenderella how to make extracts. He wouldn't give up his traveling though, but instead he left her with lessons to master, experiments to perform and a promise to return. He did return as he said and every time he gave Kenderella a new tidbit of useful knowledge in return for more of her father's alchemical supplies. Kenderella picked up many useful extracts, the powerful conatogen and finally how to make bombs.
In order to master the crafting and usage of bombs Kenderella had to practice and experiment. She didn't want to do this in her father's workshop or even in the city for that matter, nervous about what people might think if they knew she possessed such dangerous knowledge. As such she went into the nearby woods to perform her craft. On one such trip her bombs blasted away a lot of rocks, vegetation and debris to reveal a hidden cache. Naturally curious Kenderella couldn't help but go in. Inside she found something that looked like a study, but before she could explore further she was stung by a tiny scorpion. The sting instantly sent her into something like a fever haze where a powerful faceless voice suddenly started talking to her. It told her about magic and witchcraft and how she could gain further knowledge through trickery and powerful spells. It was almost as if the being knew her innermost thoughts. She didn't hesitate to embrace the words of her patron and was rewarded with what she had long been craving, the ability to use magic directly.
When she woke up, the scorpion was still there and she could feel a bond to it, similar yet different than what she had felt communing with her patron. It was her new familiar. She picked it up and it accepted her instantly, rubbing against her hand. In hidden alcove she found a book on witchcraft. She took it with her and burned the place with her bombs to hide her tracks.
This newfound power made Kenderella's curiosity about magic besides her alchemy blossom up again. She once again took to searching the city for knowledge and clues, her sharp mind allowing her to figure out exactly what questions to ask. She was surprised when she was in turn sought out by another woman. A tall, pale, raven haired beauty with mismatched eyes named Virula. This woman told Kenderella that she needed help for a clever ploy. Within the vaults of the witch-hunters there were many powerful items of witchcraft giving vast knowledge and magic to those who possessed them. Virula claimed to need help retrieving them. Kenderella was of course very interested in acquiring more knowledge and naive as she was she didn't suspect something might be off.
The two witches plotted together for a time. Kenderella was lulled further into security when Virula taught her some of her magic, the power to alter the mind of another. They devised a plan to get into the vaults without anyone being the wiser by altering the memory of the guards and causing the to fall asleep. Together they managed to pull of what they planned in order to make it into the vaults where they indeed found both several powerful spellbooks and other magical items just as planned. Just as the feeling of victory was settling in Virula was gone. In Kenderella's memory she had in fact never been there. When the witch-hunters came storming in moments later Kenderella could only remember how she made her way in alone before destroying many of the items therein with her bombs and magic. Of course the witch-hunters were very pleased that they finally caught the witch they had been on the tail off for many weeks.

Friar Fatling |

Reading everything, recruitment ends on the 4th, so I'm not too late and have time :)
I'm going to build up Friar Fatling here for this game. He is a recurring little man of mine but he has never actually gotten into a game :/
He is a halfling aberrant (aegis)/adept and probably psychic warrior (mind knight, basically psychic monk) on the other. His current crunch should be enough to give you an idea, but its not built for this campaign.
I do have to check out the AC as DR rules as that could have a significant impact on him...
As for the rest, as I said, a reoccurring character of mine, so I have lots written about him and it is... Scattered everywhere, so I will have to compile it all together :)
I have about 4-5 characters that I have built that are dear to me, and that I try to use often and this is one of them :,)
(also, autocorrect doesn't like the words halfling and fatling, so if I start talking about my Half long Darling... Well crap :S)

Finesse Training (Ex): At 1st level, a rogue gains Weapon Finesse as a bonus feat. In addition, starting at 3rd level, she can select any one type of weapon that can be used with Weapon Finesse (such as rapiers or daggers). Once this choice is made, it cannot be changed. Whenever she makes a successful melee attack with the selected weapon, she adds her Dexterity modifier instead of her Strength modifier to the damage roll. If any effect would prevent the rogue from adding her Strength modifier to the damage roll, she does not add her Dexterity modifier. The rogue can select a second weapon at 11th level and a third at 19th level.
Sneak Attack: If a rogue can catch an opponent when he is unable to defend himself effectively from her attack, she can strike a vital spot for extra damage. The rogue's attack deals extra damage anytime her target would be denied a Dexterity bonus to AC (whether the target actually has a Dexterity bonus or not), or when the rogue flanks her target. This extra damage is 1d6 at 1st level, and increases by 1d6 every 2 rogue levels thereafter. Ranged attacks can count as sneak attacks only if the target is within 30 feet. This additional damage is precision damage and is not multiplied on a critical hit. With a weapon that deals nonlethal damage (such as a sap, unarmed strike, or whip), a rogue can make a sneak attack that deals nonlethal damage instead of lethal damage. She cannot use a weapon that deals lethal damage to deal nonlethal damage in a sneak attack—not even with the usual –4 penalty. The rogue must be able to see the target well enough to pick out a vital spot and must be able to reach such a spot. A rogue cannot sneak attack while striking a creature with total concealment.
Sneak Stab (Ex): A knife master focuses her ability to deal sneak attack damage with daggers and similar weapons to such a degree that she can deal more sneak attack damage with those weapons at the expense of sneak attacks with other weapons. When she makes a sneak attack with a dagger, kerambit, kukri, punching daggers, starknife, or swordbreaker dagger, she uses d8s to roll sneak attack damage instead of d6s. For sneak attacks with all other weapons, she uses d4s instead of d6s. This ability is identical in all other ways to sneak attack, and supplements that ability.
Hidden Blade: A knife master adds 1/2 her level on Sleight of Hand checks made to conceal a light blade. This ability replaces trapfinding.

---===Background===---]
1. Your experience with the rules.
I have played D&D and Pathfinder for about 8 years. I have used Pathfinder as my exclusive system for the past 4. The majority of my Pathfinder experience is as a DM, but I have played some through PBP. I am well versed in the rules, but ultimately feel the GM is the authority to set the rules.
2. Your experience with PbP.
I have played in a number of campaigns over the past couple years. Most Have not lasted, but not for a lack of effort on my part.
3. Expectations for playing and what you want out of the experience.
I want a fun game with frequent posters.
4. Philosophy as a PbP player.
I feel that posting as often as possible is the most important to keep the flow of the game going. Second, is to take your time and not rush through the campaign. PBP gives you a huge opportunity to play a character and get to know your fellow players in a way RL games don’t. You can carry out conversations and character development that happen while still advancing the plot. In the past we’ve done things such as, Last Night back at the camp in spoiler tags and continued out conversation while exploring a dungeon.
5. Why you are applying to this game?
Way of the wicked sounds incredibly fun. I love PBP games and want to get in one that has good post frequency.
6. Define what you think good role-playing is in PbP.
Detail oriented and character focused gameplay. In PBP you really have a good chance to show what your character does and describe it without stealing the spotlight from everyone else at the table.
7. What is your experience with this adventure path?
I attempted to run the AP once, but was unable to get very far. I have read the prison break chapter of the first book.
In an attempt to get all the information I need to create stuff from character backgrounds without having to continually push for information, I am asking that you create backgrounds the following way:
Step 1:Write 5 background and concept elements that you feel are important to your image of the character. These can be a concept overview, a list of important life events, a physical description, a personality profile...whatever you need to get an image in your mind. 5 is just a minimum...more elements are encouraged!
Cecil Cúthalion was adopted at a very young age by the Cúthalion family. A noble family of elves of some renown in Talingarde. They adopted Cecil to replace their own daughter, lost to an illness at just 3 years of age. Cecil, as luck would have it, was born to one of the Cúthalion’s Halfling servants on the same day as their own daughter. The Cúthalion’s gave the child their last name, erasing any connection he had to his old parents, save that he was allowed to keep his own first name. They thought in adopting the child that it would ease the suffering that losing their only daughter had brought on them. The Lady Morwen Cúthalion fell into a deep depression soon after the adoption. She took ill with a disease none of the clerics of Mirtra could even diagnose. Her illness kept her indoors and often bedridden, and worse for Lord Elrohim Cúthalion, rendered her barren.
Lord Elrohim purchased the services of a number of nannies and tutors to “aid” in raising the child. In truth, he wanted nothing to do with the child. He blamed the child for his wife’s disease. More than anything he wanted a child of his own, a true proper elven heir. Several years passed and a miracle of Mirtra happened. Lady Morwen conceived a son, Valomir. Through her pregnancy and worse yet after, Lady Morwen was fully consumed in her madness. She started calling him Kassandra, the name of their deceased daughter. Insisted the servants dress her as a proper lady. Whenever Cecil attempted to assert he was not a girl, or their daughter. Lady Morwen would beat him. In time he learned to pretend for her.
When Lady Morwen was not supervising him, Cecil was as rowdy of a boy as possible. He was always getting into trouble, vandalism, theft, etc. He committed mostly harmless pranks, just enough to be an embarrassment to his Lord Father. Lord Elrohim spent a great deal of time covering up and paying off the people that Cecil harmed. Finally having enough, Lord Elrohim, sent Cecil away to a military academy to be trained. This worked for a time; Cecil loved the rugged masculinity of the military lifestyle. He was too small and weak to compete with the Humans he trained with, but the beatings of a Mirtran Paladin hopeful were nothing compared to Lady Morwen’s beatings.
Cecil didn’t see his family for years. Lady Morwen still sent letters to Kassandra. Letters Cecil did not return. He was happy with his life. Well provided for and one day heir to the family fortune, not to mention a small seat of nobility. He expected his brother to get a large portion of the family wealth. Likely as great as half, but the right of firstborn was his.
When he was called home because Lord Elrohim had taken ill, Cecil was ecstatic. He hoped that the day had some for him to take his rightful place. The day was instead one disappointment after another. First a servant met him at the door forcing him into a dress his mother had bought for him. They used their awful elven magic to grow his hair out, cutting and styling it into the latest fashion. Next he was brought before the court, paraded in front of those he would one day rule in the dress, a horror he had yet to show to the public. Seated next to his adopted mother, Cecil heard the worst tragedy of all. Lord Elrohim had named Valomir sole heir of the Cúthalion family. Cecil was outraged. They claimed the title of heir could only be given to a son, and used a legal loophole to claim Cecil was only their daughter. He began to scream and yell at the outrage and was quickly removed from the court.
Alone with only his adopted family Cecil learned what they intended to do with him. They had brought an Alchemist from the capital who brewed a potion to make him the perfect daughter. An Elixir of Sex Shifting was made and Cecil was held down and forced to drink it. He fought, trying not to swallow, as he squirmed against his restraints. As the potion took effect his arms narrowed just enough for him to slip the bonds. A dagger he had concealed sprang to his hand as he cut the alchemist across the cheek. He was aiming for the man’s eye, but he did not have time to focus on the missed target. He sprang into action putting a blade through his father’s throat. Another dagger sprang forth on a wrist sheath into his other hand as quickly slashed his mother gut open. She shrieked and Cecil knew the guards would be on him in a moment. He had to choose, escape, or deal with the effects of the potion. He dropped to his knees and forced himself to puke. Trying to eject as much of the potion as he could. His quick acting kept the potion from shifting him, but his features were far more delicate than they once were. The guards were one him in an instant. The alchemist served as eye witness to his crime and Cecil was taken to Brandscar Prison on two counts of Familicide.
Step 2: List at least two goals for the character. At least one of these goals should be one that the character has, while another should be one that you, as a player, want to see developed over the course of the game.
Cecil wants revenge on his brother. He feels wrongly accused for an act of self-defense. He wants the whole world to pay for how they’ve treated him.
Cecil also wants to return to a position of power like he once had.
Step 3: List at least two secrets about your character. One is a secret the character knows, one is a secret that involves him but that he is not actually aware of yet. This will help me in creating plots that center around your character. I will also be creating a third secret which you as a player will not be aware of, so expect some surprises!
• Cecil keeps most of his gender history to himself. He wears tight fitting wraps under his clothes to hide the damage the elixir did to his body.
•
Step 4: Describe at least three people that are tied to the character. Two of them are friendly to the character, one is hostile. If you like, you can include an enemy of yours here as well, so I have an instant NPC nemesis to throw at you.
Valomir Cúthalion, Cecil’s adopted brother received a letter naming him heir of the Cúthalion family. A week after, he received a letter stating his mother and father had been killed, and his adopted brother was to blame. Valomir wanted personal revenge. Cecil was sentenced and taken to Brandscar too quickly for Valomir to take Cecil’s life himself. Valomir is a powerful sorcerer, gaining arcane power from his mother’s madness.
Gafrin Greymain, the alchemist who created the Elixir Cecil drank was scarred by the Halfling. He hates the child for ruining his face. While his hatred does not run deep enough to actively seek revenge. If the opportunity were to present itself, he would finish the job he started, give her another potion, then kill “girl.”
Step 5:Describe three memories, mannerisms, or quirks that your character has. They don't have to be elaborate, but they should provide some context and flavor.
Cecil has very delicate features. When his masculinity is questioned, he overcompensates in response. He can, and will act the part of a helpless girl when he feels it’s necessary.
Having been raised in a noble family, he is educated, and even versed in the courtly process.
1.How does your character interact with the others within a group?
His military training has taught him the importance of working together in a group. He prefers to let someone stronger and bigger than him get in the way while he quickly deals with the treat.
2. What is your character's role in a group?
Cecil is a good stealth, sabotage character, but also has the ability to serve as a party face.
3. How is your character not as they seems? I want one or two skills that would surprise others if they found out he knows them. Also include personality traits, positive or negative, that would similarly surprise others.
Cecil is two sides to one coin. Raised as both a boy and a girl, he knows far more than he would like about fashion and hair. He is also well versed in military procedure and protocol.
To those that see him soft and dainty, his brutal combat expertise would surprise them.
To those that see him as a bloodthirty maniac, his eloquence in courtly matters would surprise them.
4. What are your character's goals, conscious and, perhaps, subconscious?
Immediately, Cecil would like to survive. After that, he wants vengeance and to be restorted to his rightful place as a leader of people.
Subconsciously, No one has ever loved or cared for Cecil. He wants power, but what he really wants is someone to accept and love him.
5. How easily does your character love? Have they been in love?
No one has ever loved Cecil. They have used him. He has a very guarded heart. He is quick to lust, slow to love.
6. Is your character racist at all, either now or in their past?
Cecil’s bad experience with his family leaves him distrusting of elves.
7. All people believe something that is not true, both about the world around them and about themselves. What lies/untruths does your character believe about themselves and the world around them?
Cecil feels no one has ever truly cared about him. He always feels like a pawn in someone else’s game.
8. How is your character about material possessions?
Cecil is used to a life of luxury. He wants to return to his old life of riches and power, without the burden of his family.
9. What does your character perceive their major problems to be?
Currently, being in jail. If that should be resolved, he wants wealth, power, and a position of nobility.
10. What does he perceive the solutions to those problems to be?
Cecil is desperate. He sees no way to escape and is close to giving up hope.
11. What are your character's religious beliefs?
Cecil was raised and taught to follow Mirtra. He was even sent to a military academy that prepared Mirtran paladins, but he doesn’t find himself overly religious. If this was the life Mirtra intended for Cecil, he could do without him.
12. What does your character fear?
Cecil fears being out of control. His whole life has been others forcing him to do thing against his will. He wants his life to be his own.
13. How much of a temper does your character have? What sorts of things set them off?
Cecil’s temper rivals that of a barbarian when he is set off. He can usually remain calm, but his easiest trigger is questioning his gender.

Here's Roet Heineous.
max is 18 lowest is 8 and by no means do you really need a stat at 20 i like it when my players think rather than try to overpower...
Just a heads up, Roet, GM added that max for and stat is 18 "AFTER" race bonuses. You have your dex at 20, to fit the GMs outline you will have to drop that to 18 etc.
Also we are no using AC as such
would not want you not to be in the running over admin.

Lucia H. Harpell |

I sure took my sweet time for the third part... but here it is.
How does your character interact with the others within a group?
Lucia Tends to be a bit haughty, but she has no problem working with a group. she might engage in some minor power struggle to direct the group the way she wants if such a need arises but it's hard to gain her open enmity if is not warranted.
What is your character's role in a group?
Full blown caster specialized in buff/debuff/summoning, also magic crafter and possibly party face.
How is your character not as they seems? I want one or two skills that would surprise others if they found out he knows them. Also include personality traits, positive or negative, that would similarly surprise others.
She is quite the artisan, thing that might surprise people as she seem more like a girl who buys jewelry rather than work metal and gemstones for herself. From there she started to do simple decorative works on knives and other bladed weapons and eventually started to craft some of her own design, her interest in them is more aesthetical than anything else but her creations are functional nonetheless. Despite showing herself as confident, her demeanor is really a shield for her countless insecurities. She is terrified to let people know that she is more frail and sensible than she acts out to be.
What are your character's goals, conscious and, perhaps, subconscious?
Lucia is attracted by magical knowledge, and power to a certain extent, but all that is an end of its own. The truth is Lucia doesn't have a clear goal in life at all and finally finding a direction would be for her a goal in itself.
How easily does your character love? Have they been in love?
Up until now Lucia knew longing, but not real love. She is not particularly impervious to love, she just didn't met it yet, or if she did she has been unable to recognize it.
If she finds it, her personality could get in the way of a relationship though as she will probably tent to assert some control over her partner.
Is your character racist at all, either now or in their past?
No, quite the opposite she is quite attracted by exotic people as many people prone to boredom and with a curious mind.
All people believe something that is not true, both about the world around them and about themselves. What lies/untruths does your character believe about themselves and the world around them?
She believes that gods are powerful being, but not something as removed to simple humans as they really are. A view that ideologically puts her at odds with the church of Mitra since she doesn't ascribe to the god any kind of special privilege. She wisely kept these views for herself thus far.
How is your character about material possessions?
She is careless but possessive. She wants a great deal of things but she gets bored fairly quickly with them, still she gets mad if she has to give away or lose her possession, even those she didn't really cared about anymore.
What does your character perceive their major problems to be?
Not being able to pursue her interests in this kind of overly-moralistic society.
Although the act for which she was convicted was an error on hindsight, she longs for many of the forbidden things under Talingarde law.
She is particularly interested in attempting to contact outsider creatures again, possibly from a more mature and experienced perspective than before.
What does he perceive the solutions to those problems to be?
Either secrecy or the fall of the Mithrian grasp on Talingarde.
What are your character's religious beliefs?
As said before, she feels deities are just powerful, but not special.
She is really secularist, and her secularism only grows as she explores her magical abilities.
What does your character fear?
Judgement. Not much moral judgement but rather judgement on her value.
She needs to be seen as relevant and successful and she would loathe to be considered beneath consideration, least her insecurities emerge and start to convince herself of being worthless.
How much of a temper does your character have? What sorts of things set them off?
She is quite controlled, she rarely loses control but she ha a vengeful side. Again her main trigger is attention, being ignored or underestimated are things that hurt her very deeply.
And now for the Character sheet in the format you requested.

-Lucia is born from Lazarus and Helena Harpell as the fourth of 6 children.
-Her father Lazarus is a wizard and a minor noble from a landless titleless cadet branch vaguely related to house Darius, not particularly known for his power but nevertheless the last of a long line of wizards of blue blood.
-Lucia Sorcerous powers started to manifest when she was 6 years old. A secret she kept from her family except for her slightly bigger sister Sophia
- Lucia was enrolled in a prestigious arcane school as most of the members of the family. thanks to her innate powers she managed to feign being an outstanding student of magic. She also became extremely popular among other students.
-Her and other popular students of the school created a sort of secret society inside the school named "the society of thorns", it was little more than a clique of bullies with pretentious rituals really, but together they dictated the law among the students, and they sometimes dabbled in magic that eluded the consent and approval of the teachers.
- As the Society of thorns becomes bolder with their experiments many members bail out, this leaves only the most reckless.
-One of the members of the society, worried about the escalation, bails out and menaces to reveal the practices of the society to the teachers. Lucia suggests to punish him to dissuade him from revealing their secrets. The ex member is seized and Lucia summons and offers him to a Kyton who ends up killing him. The society desperately try to cover the death of the student and disbands a few days later.
-Lucia graduates effortlessly and obtain a job as the academy librarian.
-Years later upon the confession of Thelos Fellword an ex member of the society, Lucia is convicted for "consorting with dark powers". She was tried, found guilty and thrown into Branderscar Prison waiting for her death sentence.

Hope everything is ok.
Let me know if I need to modify something.
Especially about the familiar. Is that ok to have an "empty" Ioun Wyrd?
Edit: I read the guidelines wrong and I had 20 charisma, fixed to 18

Roet Heineous |

I already adjusted the sheet to match the max 18 after racial rule from the GM. For the DR to Armor, however, I don't think there are any changes for me to make... I have no natural armor, and we have no gear yet. Unless I'm missing something here... I will wait for the GM's review :)
As for Called Shots, I like the system and plan to invest in it in the future.

Wow, a lot of finished characters in a short time. I guess most of us are waiting for approval/feedback/selection now. I hope my submission is good enough. Kenderella is done too (though I would of course appreciate feedback and change things if things are pointed out that could be done better another way.)

Rosa Luminaass |

Just another heads up, a few of you have HeroLab and other AC based setups in your PCs, The GM said they wanted it set out like this.
Would not want any of you to miss out because your PCs formating was off.
ok i have some time off ^_^ ill will be giving feed back now
as the the way i want the defense formatted here you go just remove the spaces
