---===Special Abilities===---:

-------------------------------=SPECIAL/CLASS ABILITIES=-------------------------------
Finesse Training (Ex): At 1st level, a rogue gains Weapon Finesse as a bonus feat. In addition, starting at 3rd level, she can select any one type of weapon that can be used with Weapon Finesse (such as rapiers or daggers). Once this choice is made, it cannot be changed. Whenever she makes a successful melee attack with the selected weapon, she adds her Dexterity modifier instead of her Strength modifier to the damage roll. If any effect would prevent the rogue from adding her Strength modifier to the damage roll, she does not add her Dexterity modifier. The rogue can select a second weapon at 11th level and a third at 19th level.

Sneak Attack: If a rogue can catch an opponent when he is unable to defend himself effectively from her attack, she can strike a vital spot for extra damage. The rogue's attack deals extra damage anytime her target would be denied a Dexterity bonus to AC (whether the target actually has a Dexterity bonus or not), or when the rogue flanks her target. This extra damage is 1d6 at 1st level, and increases by 1d6 every 2 rogue levels thereafter. Ranged attacks can count as sneak attacks only if the target is within 30 feet. This additional damage is precision damage and is not multiplied on a critical hit. With a weapon that deals nonlethal damage (such as a sap, unarmed strike, or whip), a rogue can make a sneak attack that deals nonlethal damage instead of lethal damage. She cannot use a weapon that deals lethal damage to deal nonlethal damage in a sneak attack—not even with the usual –4 penalty. The rogue must be able to see the target well enough to pick out a vital spot and must be able to reach such a spot. A rogue cannot sneak attack while striking a creature with total concealment.

Sneak Stab (Ex): A knife master focuses her ability to deal sneak attack damage with daggers and similar weapons to such a degree that she can deal more sneak attack damage with those weapons at the expense of sneak attacks with other weapons. When she makes a sneak attack with a dagger, kerambit, kukri, punching daggers, starknife, or swordbreaker dagger, she uses d8s to roll sneak attack damage instead of d6s. For sneak attacks with all other weapons, she uses d4s instead of d6s. This ability is identical in all other ways to sneak attack, and supplements that ability.

Hidden Blade: A knife master adds 1/2 her level on Sleight of Hand checks made to conceal a light blade. This ability replaces trapfinding.

---===Background===---]

Phase 1 Questionnaire::

1. Your experience with the rules.
I have played D&D and Pathfinder for about 8 years. I have used Pathfinder as my exclusive system for the past 4. The majority of my Pathfinder experience is as a DM, but I have played some through PBP. I am well versed in the rules, but ultimately feel the GM is the authority to set the rules.
2. Your experience with PbP.
I have played in a number of campaigns over the past couple years. Most Have not lasted, but not for a lack of effort on my part.
3. Expectations for playing and what you want out of the experience.
I want a fun game with frequent posters.
4. Philosophy as a PbP player.
I feel that posting as often as possible is the most important to keep the flow of the game going. Second, is to take your time and not rush through the campaign. PBP gives you a huge opportunity to play a character and get to know your fellow players in a way RL games don’t. You can carry out conversations and character development that happen while still advancing the plot. In the past we’ve done things such as, Last Night back at the camp in spoiler tags and continued out conversation while exploring a dungeon.
5. Why you are applying to this game?
Way of the wicked sounds incredibly fun. I love PBP games and want to get in one that has good post frequency.
6. Define what you think good role-playing is in PbP.
Detail oriented and character focused gameplay. In PBP you really have a good chance to show what your character does and describe it without stealing the spotlight from everyone else at the table.
7. What is your experience with this adventure path?
I attempted to run the AP once, but was unable to get very far. I have read the prison break chapter of the first book.

Phase 2 The Ten-Minute Background::

In an attempt to get all the information I need to create stuff from character backgrounds without having to continually push for information, I am asking that you create backgrounds the following way:
Step 1:Write 5 background and concept elements that you feel are important to your image of the character. These can be a concept overview, a list of important life events, a physical description, a personality profile...whatever you need to get an image in your mind. 5 is just a minimum...more elements are encouraged!
Cecil Cúthalion was adopted at a very young age by the Cúthalion family. A noble family of elves of some renown in Talingarde. They adopted Cecil to replace their own daughter, lost to an illness at just 3 years of age. Cecil, as luck would have it, was born to one of the Cúthalion’s Halfling servants on the same day as their own daughter. The Cúthalion’s gave the child their last name, erasing any connection he had to his old parents, save that he was allowed to keep his own first name. They thought in adopting the child that it would ease the suffering that losing their only daughter had brought on them. The Lady Morwen Cúthalion fell into a deep depression soon after the adoption. She took ill with a disease none of the clerics of Mirtra could even diagnose. Her illness kept her indoors and often bedridden, and worse for Lord Elrohim Cúthalion, rendered her barren.
Lord Elrohim purchased the services of a number of nannies and tutors to “aid” in raising the child. In truth, he wanted nothing to do with the child. He blamed the child for his wife’s disease. More than anything he wanted a child of his own, a true proper elven heir. Several years passed and a miracle of Mirtra happened. Lady Morwen conceived a son, Valomir. Through her pregnancy and worse yet after, Lady Morwen was fully consumed in her madness. She started calling him Kassandra, the name of their deceased daughter. Insisted the servants dress her as a proper lady. Whenever Cecil attempted to assert he was not a girl, or their daughter. Lady Morwen would beat him. In time he learned to pretend for her.
When Lady Morwen was not supervising him, Cecil was as rowdy of a boy as possible. He was always getting into trouble, vandalism, theft, etc. He committed mostly harmless pranks, just enough to be an embarrassment to his Lord Father. Lord Elrohim spent a great deal of time covering up and paying off the people that Cecil harmed. Finally having enough, Lord Elrohim, sent Cecil away to a military academy to be trained. This worked for a time; Cecil loved the rugged masculinity of the military lifestyle. He was too small and weak to compete with the Humans he trained with, but the beatings of a Mirtran Paladin hopeful were nothing compared to Lady Morwen’s beatings.
Cecil didn’t see his family for years. Lady Morwen still sent letters to Kassandra. Letters Cecil did not return. He was happy with his life. Well provided for and one day heir to the family fortune, not to mention a small seat of nobility. He expected his brother to get a large portion of the family wealth. Likely as great as half, but the right of firstborn was his.
When he was called home because Lord Elrohim had taken ill, Cecil was ecstatic. He hoped that the day had some for him to take his rightful place. The day was instead one disappointment after another. First a servant met him at the door forcing him into a dress his mother had bought for him. They used their awful elven magic to grow his hair out, cutting and styling it into the latest fashion. Next he was brought before the court, paraded in front of those he would one day rule in the dress, a horror he had yet to show to the public. Seated next to his adopted mother, Cecil heard the worst tragedy of all. Lord Elrohim had named Valomir sole heir of the Cúthalion family. Cecil was outraged. They claimed the title of heir could only be given to a son, and used a legal loophole to claim Cecil was only their daughter. He began to scream and yell at the outrage and was quickly removed from the court.
Alone with only his adopted family Cecil learned what they intended to do with him. They had brought an Alchemist from the capital who brewed a potion to make him the perfect daughter. An Elixir of Sex Shifting was made and Cecil was held down and forced to drink it. He fought, trying not to swallow, as he squirmed against his restraints. As the potion took effect his arms narrowed just enough for him to slip the bonds. A dagger he had concealed sprang to his hand as he cut the alchemist across the cheek. He was aiming for the man’s eye, but he did not have time to focus on the missed target. He sprang into action putting a blade through his father’s throat. Another dagger sprang forth on a wrist sheath into his other hand as quickly slashed his mother gut open. She shrieked and Cecil knew the guards would be on him in a moment. He had to choose, escape, or deal with the effects of the potion. He dropped to his knees and forced himself to puke. Trying to eject as much of the potion as he could. His quick acting kept the potion from shifting him, but his features were far more delicate than they once were. The guards were one him in an instant. The alchemist served as eye witness to his crime and Cecil was taken to Brandscar Prison on two counts of Familicide.
Step 2: List at least two goals for the character. At least one of these goals should be one that the character has, while another should be one that you, as a player, want to see developed over the course of the game.
Cecil wants revenge on his brother. He feels wrongly accused for an act of self-defense. He wants the whole world to pay for how they’ve treated him.
Cecil also wants to return to a position of power like he once had.

Step 3: List at least two secrets about your character. One is a secret the character knows, one is a secret that involves him but that he is not actually aware of yet. This will help me in creating plots that center around your character. I will also be creating a third secret which you as a player will not be aware of, so expect some surprises!
• Cecil keeps most of his gender history to himself. He wears tight fitting wraps under his clothes to hide the damage the elixir did to his body.

Step 4: Describe at least three people that are tied to the character. Two of them are friendly to the character, one is hostile. If you like, you can include an enemy of yours here as well, so I have an instant NPC nemesis to throw at you.
Valomir Cúthalion, Cecil’s adopted brother received a letter naming him heir of the Cúthalion family. A week after, he received a letter stating his mother and father had been killed, and his adopted brother was to blame. Valomir wanted personal revenge. Cecil was sentenced and taken to Brandscar too quickly for Valomir to take Cecil’s life himself. Valomir is a powerful sorcerer, gaining arcane power from his mother’s madness.
Gafrin Greymain, the alchemist who created the Elixir Cecil drank was scarred by the Halfling. He hates the child for ruining his face. While his hatred does not run deep enough to actively seek revenge. If the opportunity were to present itself, he would finish the job he started, give her another potion, then kill “girl.”

Step 5:Describe three memories, mannerisms, or quirks that your character has. They don't have to be elaborate, but they should provide some context and flavor.
Cecil has very delicate features. When his masculinity is questioned, he overcompensates in response. He can, and will act the part of a helpless girl when he feels it’s necessary.
Having been raised in a noble family, he is educated, and even versed in the courtly process.

Phase 3 Questionnaire::

1.How does your character interact with the others within a group?
His military training has taught him the importance of working together in a group. He prefers to let someone stronger and bigger than him get in the way while he quickly deals with the treat.
2. What is your character's role in a group?
Cecil is a good stealth, sabotage character, but also has the ability to serve as a party face.
3. How is your character not as they seems? I want one or two skills that would surprise others if they found out he knows them. Also include personality traits, positive or negative, that would similarly surprise others.
Cecil is two sides to one coin. Raised as both a boy and a girl, he knows far more than he would like about fashion and hair. He is also well versed in military procedure and protocol.
To those that see him soft and dainty, his brutal combat expertise would surprise them.
To those that see him as a bloodthirty maniac, his eloquence in courtly matters would surprise them.
4. What are your character's goals, conscious and, perhaps, subconscious?
Immediately, Cecil would like to survive. After that, he wants vengeance and to be restorted to his rightful place as a leader of people.
Subconsciously, No one has ever loved or cared for Cecil. He wants power, but what he really wants is someone to accept and love him.
5. How easily does your character love? Have they been in love?
No one has ever loved Cecil. They have used him. He has a very guarded heart. He is quick to lust, slow to love.
6. Is your character racist at all, either now or in their past?
Cecil’s bad experience with his family leaves him distrusting of elves.
7. All people believe something that is not true, both about the world around them and about themselves. What lies/untruths does your character believe about themselves and the world around them?
Cecil feels no one has ever truly cared about him. He always feels like a pawn in someone else’s game.
8. How is your character about material possessions?
Cecil is used to a life of luxury. He wants to return to his old life of riches and power, without the burden of his family.
9. What does your character perceive their major problems to be?
Currently, being in jail. If that should be resolved, he wants wealth, power, and a position of nobility.
10. What does he perceive the solutions to those problems to be?
Cecil is desperate. He sees no way to escape and is close to giving up hope.
11. What are your character's religious beliefs?
Cecil was raised and taught to follow Mirtra. He was even sent to a military academy that prepared Mirtran paladins, but he doesn’t find himself overly religious. If this was the life Mirtra intended for Cecil, he could do without him.
12. What does your character fear?
Cecil fears being out of control. His whole life has been others forcing him to do thing against his will. He wants his life to be his own.
13. How much of a temper does your character have? What sorts of things set them off?
Cecil’s temper rivals that of a barbarian when he is set off. He can usually remain calm, but his easiest trigger is questioning his gender.
