+1 Lance: 1d20 + 17 ⇒ (2) + 17 = 19 for: 2d6 + 8 ⇒ (2, 4) + 8 = 14
Spike Powerful Charge (p. attack): 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (19) + 11 = 30 for: 4d6 + 30 ⇒ (4, 3, 2, 1) + 30 = 40
I really love Spike! I just have such fun with this tiny little martial character who can hardly break the wing off a fly riding around on a friggin' triceratops. I love it! It's seriously a lot of fun.

As much as you love your Spike, I really love my Swashbuckler :D
The only thing that makes me nervous is the *abysmal* Will Save ;) Maybe I could splash an Oracle and a Sorc level in for the Will saves :p
Hmm...how about a Swashbuckler/Paladin as a tank?

1) I was gunna use my ring of seven lovely colors, but as I don't *actually* have Weapon Finesse... I'd suck as a bird ;)
2) I am taking the weekend at the Nurburgring. If you don't know what that is, here's a "Oh, Jesus take the wheel!" video for you...

Hope your visit to the Caribbean was an encouraging one, mott! Do you guys know how long she'll be down there for school? I can't imagine it's easy for you both =(
It was a very nice trip, thanks for asking. It's not easy, but assuming all goes well, she'll be down there for most of the next couple years. Basically, it's two months down, 22 more to go.

Some good news and some bad news.
Good: I am getting ready to Retire from the US Army after 20 years! This means I am definitely moving - don't know where yet, maybe Maryland, maybe Qatar (wuh!?). My access will be shaky for a while (we are piggybacking a neighbor's WLAN right now) but I look forward to getting back to the US where internet speeds are way above my current pain of 2.7mb/s...
Bad: I am going to have intermittent internet for the next two months. Please do not hesitate to 'Bot me if you need to!

Sorry, Katerina. Just realized we never replied to this, which sucks. Congratulations on retiring! Maryland seems better than Qatar if you ask me, but opinions may vary.
"Oh. Okay. Kereek am sure he will be dragon someday." Kereek seems somewhat deflated, but with his last sentence, seems to steel himself with hope.
Of course, Form of the Dragon is a sixth-level spell, which you're not actually that far away from. I wouldn't be surprised if Kereek just stops gaining other spells after he gets that (well, other than Form II and III, of course).

I didn't drop out. I had just been let go from my job and have been more focused on finding another, is all. Only occurred to me just today I should mention that, since I forgot you guys post much more frequently than any other game I've participated in.

Kat! You're looking at Frederick? GET OUTTA TOWN!
I have a really close friend who just moved OUT of Frederick last year. =P
From Camp Hill it's an easy shot down to Frederick. I think it's either Rt 15 or Rt 11 (they both kind of smash together at one point and I confuse the two) that runs straight south to Frederick. If I remember right, it's about an hour's drive or so?
And Mott, if this move works out I think you'd be like 90 minutes away; just off 78? (78 does run right by Bethlehem, right?)
My PA cartography skills have faded a bit in the past 8 years =P

The only other time I've encountered a flood trap was a one-shot adventure that a friend of mine ran back in college in the hey-day of 3.5. I was playing a dwarven hunter (some 3rd party class that seemed fun) with a charming animal companion: I'd chosen I rhinoceros.
Tragic Fact: Rhinoceroses in full-plate barding are terrible swimmers.
I still remember the name of that dwarf, the name of my poor rhinoceros, and the gleam in my DM's eye and the way he rubbed his hands together when we triggered the trap.
=\

Glad to hear it. One of the rare times where I can actually have the multiple past lives interact with one another, too. Didn't want to force something like this just for the surprise value.

So I'm down at the beach at a week long family vacation and I expected it to be like last year's reunion with regard to chances to steal some quiet moments to type and write.
If yesterday and this morning are any indication, introducing a half-dozen crazed children to the formula may have dramatically changed things. =P
Apologies in advance if my posting is inconsistent, scattered or jumbled for the next week!

Just a note:
I am getting ready to leave the Army after 20 years; I will be moving around a lot and may have limited access to the internet. My new job will require a lot of travel too, but not to super remote areas. I will let you know if I need to drop off for a while. I plan on keeping up with this game!

Looking over your stats, guys, I just realized I forgot to tell you you could level up when you moved up to the second level of the dungeon.
Everyone should be 9th level! Yay!
Of course, even then you haven't had a chance to rest so no extra spells or whatnot.
---
While you're at it, any thoughts what you'd like for a fifth character? We've seemed to go through people a lot in this campaign (though I guess Agnar, Kereek and Prazil have all been here for a good long while now), so I'd like to get someone who will be around for the long term. I'm more than willing to take suggestions if someone wants to recommend a player.

For an additional player, one of my go-tos is already here :p
Kat's level:
+9 HP; +1 BAB; +1 Acrobatics, +1 Climb, +1 Diplomacy, +1 Intimidate, +1 Perception, +1 Swim
Feats:
Swashbuckler Bonus - Extra Panache
Normal - Combat Reflexes
Prazil |
Level 9!
-Prazil-
HPs: 1d10 ⇒ 5
+1 BAB (+9/+4)
+1 Ref
+1 Will
+3 skill ranks (+1 Handle Animal, +1 Linguistics (Sylvan, learned from Orin), +1 Ride)
+Feat (Spirited Charge)
Greater Tactician: Gain Outflank, activate tactician as swift action
-Spike-
HPs: 1d8 + 3 ⇒ (5) + 3 = 8
+1 BAB
+1 Fort
+1 Ref
+1 Skill Point (Fly)
+2 Natural Armor
+1 Str
+1 Dex
Ability Increase: +1 Con
Multiattack (second gore attack at -5)
That was a huuuuuge level for Spike. Both Strength and Dex bumped to the next modifier, he got a second gore attack, and his AC is high enough now that Prazil's Mounted Combat feat will be hard pressed to ever deflect a hit that happens to connect in the first place.
And now I have to decide if Prazil's remaining levels should be in Mammoth Rider or if I should stick with Cavalier. =P

Yeap. Spike not fitting any place we go is definitely worth considering. Then again, he made pretty short work of that fort wall; a Huge, Flying Spike could get us into pretty much anywhere! =)
Also, just a friendly reminder (which you asked for!) that you wanted to pop us with some phat lootz! And on that topic, some kind of awesome, medium-sized figurine of wondrous power that could serve as a surrogate mount for when Spike can't fit places would be a welcome find in such a pile of magical bounty and happiness!
