FYI, I don't know what my posting will be like for the next week or so. My wife is leaving May 1 to start med school in the Caribbean. She's not working next week and obviously I want to spend as much time with her as I can. That said, I also post from work, so it's possible there will be no disruption in our usual schedule.

I expect to be back to normal posting sometime May 2-5.

I've decided to implement a new rule for the PBP. From this point forward, if anyone goes a week without posting without giving us some sort of head's up (a la Katerina, above), I'm going to assume they've dropped out and replace them.

I understand life can intervene, but unless someone's been hit by a car and hospitalized or something, it doesn't take more than a couple minutes to drop in and say you're not available.

I can sympathize. I will try to let everyone know in advance if I expect to be out of commission.

Paizocon is this weekend. I'm flying out Thursday and coming home Monday evening, so my posting will be nigh nonexistent.

Thanks for the head's up. My folks are coming into town this weekend for my 40th birthday, so I may be lax in my own posting (though they also go to sleep well before I do, so I may just post then).

And I'll be travelling this weekend as well! Though my travels won't start until Sunday morning and I'll be back by Wednesday at the latest.

Hey guys, unfortunately, I've decided I'm going to replace Orin. He hasn't posted since May 7, though I see he's posting under other aliases.

We just recently ran a recruitment, so I'm inclined to look through that final page again to see if there's anyone else who'll fit in -- I figure role-wise, we most need a ranged/skill character. If any of the applications catch your eye, please let me know (or if you can recommend any of the players). If not, we can also look through the standing AP applications in the recruitment thread and see if anyone there would work.

I haven't. I figure he's been playing the game for a long time, he knows where we are and could have told us if something were keeping him from posting.

It's up to you, Mott. This might be a low-key way of saying he's lost interest. I defer to the GM on this. I just want to keep the game alive. I like my little dragon a lot!

As Orin was our inventory tracker, I had some time this afternoon to put together an Inventory Log similar to the one I use in other games. It's set so any of y'all can edit it, make changes, etc. Should be helpful for Mott to track our various wealth levels too. I see there's a WBL note on the campaign tab, but I'm guessing that's a bit outdated at this point =P

Kat - I couldn't find a ring of seven lovely colors anywhere, so the gp value for that is all we're missing in the log. I also estimated Agnar's kinbonded bow as being equivalent to a +2 weapon - but that was a guess on my part.

Prazil: it is a +1 Ring of Protection that lets you Beast Shape IV seven times per day into a Songbird (Raven stats). It is essentially Kat's get away device ;) Ring of Seven Lovely Colors

The only things I've crafted are the Alchemical items. Everything else I bought and had made.

Also, I'll be making a clear note in Raul's dialog when someone else is speaking for her. And yes I'm aware of the name I gave in character. When you travel largely alone for as long as she has, you tend to be wary around new faces. Particularly when two of them are well-equipped, intelligent kobolds.

Kereek will likely argue the point of there being two intelligent kobolds, but the alias is perfectly understandable none-the-less =)

Well, since I get my own dragon's breath at 9th level, I pretty much decided to go for a protective spell. Plus I got mad fireballz, yo.

Edit: man, the more I think about it, the more versatile that spell becomes. And totally Kereek-appropriate. Okay, I bow to the logic of fire and blood. Dragon's breath it is!

I was thinking especially for that brass dragon breath, man. Cones can be tough to not catch party members in but lines? Lines are a whole different story.

But not Wall of Fire? :p

Besides, when has Kereek ever been worried about AoEs ?

No, in all seriousness, I am an OLD gamer and still (after how many years of Magic to Order) like to see PCs (mine, yours, everyone!) getting 'organic' loot. Whatever loot we find is loot we will make use of :)

One of the things I think would be neat for Prazil would be a wondrous figurine of some sort that he could use as a surrogate mount when we're in places Spike can't fit.

The bronze griffon (though probably too big) and onyx dog both seem pretty neat, as do the golden lions, though two extra critters is probably more than I'd care to juggle with the bookkeeping and what not. Given your excellence at magic item inventorizing though, Mott, I think a variant type might be real cool to find - maybe something with closer ties to the First World that could dove tail into the unfolding plot?

I'm just spitballing and thinking of non-standard things that might be fun and interesting for this knightly little kobold. I particularly love the knight's pennon of honor he got earlier. And even though there hasn't been a really good chance to use it yet, it's still one of my favorite items of his.

Oh, and Agnar will take back the gold bracelet from Orin, which he needs as a focus for his sacred bond. So either Katerina or Prazil can wear it, and allow me to use cure spells on you at range.

How do we want to handle the unity ability in PBP, since I don't think it's that effective to make you wait to roll until everyone decides what he/she will do.

I'd guess maybe do your save behind a spoiler and then we'll just have to trust folks to be honest?

As for the bracelet, Kat'll probably benefit from it more. Prazil's main schtick is not getting hit to begin with =P

Not gonzo, but I do have a +9 Will save, and my Fort is +8.

How use Unity? If Agnar's Save is better than yours, use Agnar's save. How do we know when he activates it? We could be harsh and make it an auto-response. First time three or more of us are hit by the same effect, and would benefit from Unity, those with weaker saves use his by default. Takes away some flexibility, but also keeps everything on the up and up :)

Kat's saves are 5 / 13 / 3. So, no matter how we use it, Kat will take Agnar's Fort or Will if she can :D

Any time you want to use Unity I'll happily take part, provided I'm near enough. =)

I believe unity is an immediate action on my part, so in the event of something nasty, I'll activate it and you can choose to use it as they wish. I only get it 1/day until 12th level. Just remember that I could always roll a 1 and sink the lot of us.

Allies are supposed to choose before they see any rolls, though, so I'd say do it behind a spoiler and we'll just trust everyone to be honest.

Well, it says they have to choose to use it before any rolls are made, so I presume that means mine as well.

Yeah, but I think whereas that's something that takes all of 10-20 seconds at a table, it's a couple days via PBP. I'd say let people know when you announce it and make your roll behind a spoiler and just trust people to be honest.

The other option is we could tweak the power for PBP purposes -- say it gives everyone your stat (or class) bonus to save as a bonus to their own save, or something along those lines.

Using Agnar's save in place of our own seems like a really good option - especially in terms of efficiency.
