Ebonfeather Sharpclaw |

Ah, yes, I meant to mention that myself. I'll wait till everyone else has climbed up, then I will climb back down to Mushroom with the rings and Drazh's rope. I will fashion a harness with the rope (maybe a Survival check?) that will strap Mushroom to my body. (Probably a difficult Handle Animal check, but I can retry or take 20). I can then climb back up with a Heavy load (fortunately the DC is low with a knotted rope). Sound ok?

Ebonfeather Sharpclaw |

BTW: Is anyone else going to make the Climb checks? The DC is only 5 for the first part then 0 for however much farther you need to climb, but most of you are wearing armor.

LegitGM |

Mushroom can bore through solid rock? Dang, I want to play with a boar animal companion.
Yeah, I assume the rest of you want to climb up as well?
Did some mock climb checks...

Ebonfeather Sharpclaw |

Mushroom can bore through solid rock? Dang, I want to play with a boar animal companion.
She is half Umber Hulk :D I just haven't been using the Confusion gaze.
I did propose a way to get her up a couple of comments above this one. Let me know if you think my solution could work.
Everyone else, if you are going to climb up, you need to make some Climb checks. If you aren't climbing up, please propose an alternative solution to the current situation.

Daphne Hermstos |

Using GM's roll
Daphne struggles and barely makes it to the top.
"Well I need to work on climbing I see."
After a discussion about mushroom Daphne agrees that climbing back down and tying the rope seems the best solution. Then they can all pull her up.

Ebonfeather Sharpclaw |

Using his knowledge of climb cliff walls, Ebonfeather fashions a harness that will hold Mushroom.
Survival: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (7) + 7 = 14
Hmmm... that doesn't look quite right. Untie it and try again.
Survival: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (7) + 7 = 14
No, not going to try that either. Untie it and try again.
Survival: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (3) + 7 = 10
Yikes, that is completely unreasonable. "You guys might want to have a look around while you wait for me."
Survival: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (14) + 7 = 21
Yes, that should work. Let's give it a try, Mushroom.
Finally happy with the look of the harness, Ebonfeather coaxes Mushroom into it.
Here, girl, just put your legs in the little loops here and I will cinch it around your chest.
Handle Animal: 1d20 + 4 + 4 ⇒ (9) + 4 + 4 = 17
"Yes, I know it is strange, but it won't hurt you, trust me, girl. Just relax"
Handle Animal: 1d20 + 4 + 4 ⇒ (1) + 4 + 4 = 9
"Ouch! Watch those tusks. Now, this isn't so much different from when I lift you up when we have to scramble up over rocks in the woods, is it?"
Handle Animal: 1d20 + 4 + 4 ⇒ (16) + 4 + 4 = 24
"Good Girl! OK, now for the hard part, let's test it out."
Ebonfeather struggles to stand up with Mushroom strapped to his body. He is just about at the maximum he can possibly carry.
With the two rings on, he grabs the rope and attempts to pull himself up.
Climb: 1d20 - 3 + 5 ⇒ (13) - 3 + 5 = 15
With the few failed checks, I guess that took 15-30 minutes?

Daphne Hermstos |

I thought we would pull you guys up. Between Umberto and
Drazh it shouldn't be an issue.

Ebonfeather Sharpclaw |

I thought we would pull you guys up. Between Umberto and Drazh it shouldn't be an issue.
In that scenario, I would still have to fashion a harness for myself, then make some Handle Animal checks to keep Mushroom calm while I hug her to my body as we are being pulled up. It doesn't change much, and you guys are free to defend against whatever is making that scuttling noise.

Mushroom's readied action should have gone off. Did her attack hit?
Also, it looks like we are back to the top of Round 2, and it is my turn. Is that correct or did my initiative move after Daphne with Mushroom's readied action?

Ebonfeather Sharpclaw |

This combat sequence might be a little too complicated to perform with an Animal Companion. If ruled to be too complicated, simply change Ebonfeather's action to casting Flare on Scorpion 7 (Fort 13 or Dazzled) and Mushroom will stay in place
