Asho Gohara |

"Rizzle huh, that you? Well Rizzle, care to begin by explaining who took us, where we are, and what has been done to Narima and others….""
Asho handles Rizzle roughly and looks for anything to bind the creature's hands with, while continuing searching for possessions/disarm Rizzle of weapons. He will also begin to remove Rizzle's leather armor.

Pharnox |

Pharnox cannot understand the words but he knows by logical conclusion that this is an interrogation of some sort...
He approaches Anyka from behind and speaks in a whisper so that the rat might not know what he was about...
When all information has been gleaned from the rat slit his throat, strike at the intersecting veins in the middle of the throat... Those are the vocal cords, slit them and he will make no noise. Do not hesitate, as long as he lives he will decrease our chances of our survival... Survival is all that matters, the dead feel nothing, not joy, not passion, not anything...

Tikkle |

Tikkle at this point is gripping on to the Rat by the throat, holding him so that Asho could speak to him. He tightened his grip slightly, causing his claws to extend just far enough to be felt against Rizzle's throat.
Dropping to a menacing whisper with that same scary tone he says "Better start squeakin, Panya, I dunno who's gonna gitcha first if you don't talk fast..."
lemme know if and when I need to roll the intimidate or something else for this again.

Asho Gohara |

@Tikkle I'm with you on wanting to Intimidate again to get better/faster/more answers/reaction, but I'm always nonplussed when folk tell me (just ask Pharnox about my Inquisitor in our Dark Sun game) that Intimidate lasts for 1d6 x 10 minutes… Also, I'm not sure if we would know when it "wears off" as it were…

Asho Gohara |

Ash is losing patience with the "interrogation."
"Makes no sense to me. Anyone else? Maybe hit him again?"
Ash takes the box and turns to his friends. He rattles it, before examining it perfunctorily:
Perception: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (8) + 2 = 10 then hands it to Pharnox or Jin to look at.
GMSCV - I've stated twice I'm taking his things/examining him. ;)
Plus taking his armor off. What size is it/does it fit any of the smaller of us?

Asho Gohara |

No problems. In the post at the top of this page, I'm checking him for stuff and taking his armor. This is after we intimidated him/combat was over. I'm still going to remove all his stuff.
What weapons does he have?
Food?
Misc. items?
Remember we have nothing and are looking to get any aid we can....
:)

Asho Gohara |

Ash places a restraining hand on Anyka.
"Easy Anyka. I know it's hard, but this creature holds the knowledge. Look at him, he's plainly terrified..." Ash turns to the pathetic Ratling.
"Answer her!!!" he shouts at the creature. "What does that box have to do with draining essence? Talk or the cat will eat you!!!"
Ok, thanks GM. Ash will keep the keys and dagger. Pharnox or Jin look like studious types [to him] so one of them can take the box.
[EDIT - giving the dagger to Anyka, but keeping the keys as posted in Discussion thread.. How much damage does a heavy medieval set of keys do?]
Anyka - by all means slap Ash's patronizing, patriarchal hand and words away…

Gashka |

Gashka walk over to Anyka and puts an arm around her to try and comfort her. "It's okay, we need to open the box. I think that's what he was tryin to say." She looks at Jin, "Can you open it? Maybe there's a key?" She releases Anyka and bending over she picks up the rat and tosses him in a cell. "Asho, can you lock him in there please? We don't need him comin to and warnin his master that we're coming for him." Her fists are clenched at her side and she shakes with anger, but she manages to keep her tone somewhat even and calm.

Vallterra |

With Anyka's outburst, terra was unsure how to feel. she really didn't know any of these kids. her mother made sure that she had no friends, or just ones she would have provided.
Terra reamins quiet for now, not wanting to or perhaps more like not knowing how to help the situation.
instead silently, under her breath, she curses her mother.

Asho Gohara |

Ash complies with Gashka's request, taking a bit of time to sort out just what key fits the cell in question. Then, he sets to the task of ripping the material of his shirtsleeve to make a gag and impromptu bonds, and gags and binds the ratling.
"Maybe we should break something off in the lock?" he asks generally.
Twisting the key in the lock with a great deal of satisfaction, Ash wonders if that is enough. He shrugs to himself and dumps the leather armor in a cell on the other side of the room.
What time of year is it GMSCV? Summer? Winter?

Gashka |

Taking a few deep breaths to steady herself, Gashka loosens her fists and looks at Ash, "Nah, don't break nuthin off in there. Just leave him in there like that for now...maybe he'll be useful later on." While the others try to figure out the box, Gashka goes and sits down on the floor. She takes some more deep breaths and tries to think of what to do next.

Pharnox |

Pharnox whispers from behind Anyka, his voice is low and efficient like a machine in some ways...
It is time to finish this, take your rock and kill the rat... If he is dead he cannot make noise and give away our position...

Lo'Laan Jin |

Jin grabs the dark skinned elf and whispers in elven.

Vallterra |

** tease **
Terra stays feeling the stone for a moment. she then turns her attentions back to the others.
have we found out anything.... she does not finish when she hears the talk of killing.
NO, we will not kill this one, I may be a lot of things but I am not a killer. I say he lives.
she is very adamant about her words and is ready to intervene if anyone tries to kill the rat man.

Tikkle |

DC5 will save or Tikkle does something stupid: 1d20 - 2 ⇒ (2) - 2 = 0
oops... welp...
Tikkle Props the rat against the wall and lines up for a Coup de Gras, aiming to break the rat's neck with a kick...
this takes a moment to set up and is quite obvious. *cough cough*

Pharnox |

Pharnox looks carefully over Jin, he speaks to him and makes a head motion towards Vallterra... To Drow this head motion is a deep sign of disrespect towards the person it is directed to...
Killing him is the only way to silence him that is currently available save cutting out the tongue, you yourself acknowledge that he is a coward. He will balk at the last minute, he will try to go back to his master when he does we will be at a disadvantage... Think carefully does his life truly matter against the lives of your friends, brethren and companions?

Lo'Laan Jin |

Oblivious to Tikkle's attempts to kill the rat Jin replies to the dark one.

Vallterra |

I am sooo gonna regret this...
Terra barely finishes telling the elf speaker her opinion when she turns to see Tikkle about to try and kill the rat man
she rushes forward to tackle Tikkle Nooo don't!
grapple attempt: 1d20 + 2 + 2 ⇒ (7) + 2 + 2 = 11 (+2 charge)
well that may not be the best idea but it may have stopped him

Pharnox |

Pharnox spoke his voice logical and callous, his conclusion drawn by applying the relentless intelligence of the Drow mind...
Pharnox looks at the charging human female and decides to put himself in her way, the rat's death was paramount to survival in his view...
That I suspect is because this has happened before, when the rat came into our cells the act seemed almost routine... He has done this enough times that it has become normal for him, screaming from these cells is likely considered normal by those who are outside of it... Kill him so he cannot make a cry for help and then prepare yourself, not all of us are stealthy we will be spilling blood soon no matter what we do to the rat-

Gashka |

Uh hello's....the rat was locked in a cell before ANY of that happened so the rat still lives. Gashka already took care of it if anyone cared to pay attention.

Gashka |
2 people marked this as a favorite. |

Not ONLY is the rat man already locked in a cage before any of this happens, but Ash already bound and gagged him, so your argument for killing him is meaningless at this point. Killing someone who is unconscious, in Gashka's mind...is akin to bullying a smaller kid. She won't stand for it.
She sends Tikkle a scathing look, ""Tikkle, curo oddi ar y nonsens hwn ar unwaith! Mae'n mewn cawell ac yn gallu gwneud unrhyw niwed pellach. Os byddwn yn gorfod byddwn yn gofalu amdano yn ddiweddarach, ond nid fel hyn. Stop it a chael dros yma .... onest beth ydych chi'n meddwl? "
She makes a motion for him to come stand next to her.

Pharnox |

ack, forgot he was even there in the cage...
Leave him to rot then and move, staying boxed in this room is idiocy... Better to stay mobile, those who are stealthily and perceptive should follow me as I scout ahead... Those who are not stay here, any sound that we make could well be our demise. Knowing what we deal with and perhaps arming ourselves is the best way out of this...

Asho Gohara |

In Ash's mind, killing the rattling is tantamount to murder. Having been raised by a soldier and heard endless tales of warfare he has some idea of the concepts of "just" death by combat and the duty of care given to prisoners/non-combatants. I'm sure Pharnox' dark-elf sensibilities would scream "idiotic".
Ash is growing frustrated with the polyglot conversations. His eyes narrow as he strains to catch an inkling of the elf's meaning, but comes up with nothing.
"What is he saying now? Why do we even trust him? Sure he kicked the ratling…."

Gashka |

Gashka looks at Ash and sighs as she shakes her head, "I don't know, but I'm sure one of the others will translate. I'm sure it has something to do with him not wanting to be in here anymore. I know I don't want to stick around here any longer than necessary. We don't know what's out there though. Rizzle is unconscious now though, so using him to show us how to get outta here isn't an option."

Gashka |

She walks over to Ash and puts a hand on his arm, since she can't quite reach his shoulder. "Just make sure to hold onto those keys, don't know what all they unlock yet." She rubs his arm for a minute, trying to soothe his nerves before walking back to Tikkle.

Gashka |

It's okay, things got a little chaotic there for a bit. With so much going on at once, sometimes things get overlooked. But the rat was also unconscious and killing someone while they are incapacitated is considered an evil act. I don't think any of us here are evil.

Asho Gohara |

Ash is…dumbstruck. He tries to act nonchalant.
Bluff: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (9) + 6 = 15
"Uh. Yeah. Totally, of course."
She…touched me.
He can't quite help feeling something for the feisty half-orc.
Bah. She's half my age and half my height. What am I thinking? Still, the way she smiles - those teeth!
Okay okay, Ash is exaggerating. Gashka's not that short, nor young...
"I want to get out of here too. As long as we stick together - I don't want to be left behind, nor leave anyone behind. I know we should probably watch Rizzle, but…."
