It's not about the stupid sandwich....Lol They are sitting together in a semi private setting sharing a meal and exchanging conversation. Isn't that the basis for a date, or has it been too long since I had an actual date and they've evolved from that now where it's not a date unless you screw at the end of it?

This is probably why we don't go on dates, because you don't even know what one is. So, in a restaurant which is also a public place it's not a date there either?

what kind of sandwitch?

as for what is a date.

there has to be some communication before hand, such as, "would like to go somewhere and have a sandwitch (drink, etc) with me?"

there has to be no expectation of others joining.

there should be some sort of attraction between the two.

as far as I can tell, none of these apply. therefore, not a date.

as a case in point: when my wife was in the hospital, I brought her best friend with me to visit, and after, we went to McDonald's together, (is that a date? I say no it isn't)

also my frame of mind right now is very messed up. some things going on in RL that are eating at me. at time like that, I sound way more serious than I should be.

Although I will give Buffy this. It is the best example of what happens when someone with super strength panics. The scene where she tries to revive her mother is utterly heartbreaking and cringeworthy.
