Our Mysterious Benefactor |
Oh no, Pai has introduced sparkly vampires to Pathfinder. I take no responsibility for this...
With a burst of light and glitter, the vampires are covered in faintly glowing sparkly dust! Will Save #1: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (16) + 5 = 21 and Will Save #2: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (12) + 5 = 17. Both fanged fiends hiss and growl, but seem unaffected by the blindness. They do, however, seem very very angry at the caster who has just revealed herself...
Initiative!
Ruperta: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (17) + 7 = 24
Pai: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (10) + 6 = 16
Slumper: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (7) + 3 = 10
Corbyn: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (1) + 3 = 4
Paxs: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (19) + 4 = 23
Foes: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (14) + 1 = 15
ROUND 1:
24 Ruperta
23 Paxs
16 Pai
15 Vamps
10 Slumper
4 Corbyn
Let's do a quick surprise round for Corbyn, Pai and the vamps, then full round 1! Pai, you're up!
Pai Kromnite |
If they are both grouped together still...
Using her bonded item, Pai recalls her spell and tries again to blind the undead.
Recall Glitterdust spell. DC 17 to resist. Sparkly vampires, lol. I'm not resting until I get my vamps sparkly!
Our Mysterious Benefactor |
Still hissing, the vamps are hit with another wave of glitter!
Will Save 1: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (2) + 5 = 7 and Will Save 2: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (8) + 5 = 13
This time they both get an eyeful and cry out in shock, dropping from the wall onto the alley and hissing loudly. They seem more like beasts than men, acting for all the world like savages.
Corbyn has a surprise round action, then Round 1 is Ruperta, Paxs and Pai, then the vamps!
Ruperta of Hetzau |
When able, Ruperta will close in and cast Prayer, getting both friends and foes in range.
Moved my piece in Roll20 counting on Corbyn to close in
Our Mysterious Benefactor |
Corbyn draws his swords and prepares to stab at the vamps!
ROUND 1:
24 Ruperta
23 Paxs
16 Pai
15 Vamps
10 Slumper
4 Corbyn
Paxs and Pai, then the Vamps!
Pai Kromnite |
Pai casts Grease, and an area of slickness comes to being under the feet of the now blinded vampires, hoping to get lucky and have them slowed, if not actually falling.
Cast Grease on the street underneath the vamps. Ref DC 15.
Ruperta of Hetzau |
When able, Ruperta will close in and cast Prayer, getting both friends and foes in range.
Moved my piece in Roll20 counting on Corbyn to close in. The vampires should have a -1 on their Saving Throws, including Pai's Grease.
Paxs |
Paxs tells Thrak to attack the closest vampire.
Thrak is going to move as close as he can (40 ft movement) (got swamped last night and could not get to the computer
and bite the vampire 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (10) + 10 = 20, 1d8 + 1d6 + 4 ⇒ (4) + (4) + 4 = 12
Our Mysterious Benefactor |
Round 1:
Ruperta moves into the alleyway and casts a spell of praise to Desna. The spell causes her allies to be bolstered and the vampires to shrivel slightly as the holy words wash over them.
Paxs sends Thrak in the alley to gnaw at the blinded vampire. The eidolon's teeth tear into the leg of the dead thing, causing it to hiss and spit at it.
Pai takes advantage of the confusion to cast grease under the vamps! Reflex: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (12) + 1 = 13 and Reflex: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (10) + 1 = 11 Both vamps, already disoriented, fall to the ground, landing prone!
The vamps hiss and spit on the ground, then suddenly their forms disappear into clouds of mist. The mist-vamps flow languidly toward the crack in the alley from which they appeared!
Corbyn slashes at the mist, but his sword just seems to pass through the cloud without making any impact!
Slumper has a Round 1 action, but Ruperta, Paxs and Pai can go ahead and post Round 2 actions!
Vamp 1: 19/26 blinded, prone
Vamp 2: 26/26 blinded, prone
ROUND 2:
24 Ruperta
23 Paxs
16 Pai
15 Vamps
10 Slumper
4 Corbyn
Our Mysterious Benefactor |
Slumper... That statement is all manner of funny out of context. The only things convenient are corpses. But there's a lot of them!
Pai, yes. Yes it can.
Slumper |
Slumper... That statement is all manner of funny out of context. The only things convenient are corpses. But there's a lot of them!
Pai, yes. Yes it can.
I didn't even realize until you pointed it out.....considering the last time Slumper had an unusual solution, he will opt to keep his pants on this time... lmao
Slumper attemps to drag any corpse close by to cut off the escape route.
Our Mysterious Benefactor |
Round 1:
Slumper moves to block the crack and begins stuffing it full of corpses!
Round 2:
Pai's magic missile blast hits one of the clouds, causing an arcane lightning shudder to pass through it. The mist seems diminished somehow.
Ruperta and Paxs, then the Vamps/Mist!
Vamp 1: 19/26 blinded, prone
Vamp 2: 23/26 blinded, prone
Paxs |
"Thrak keep attacking the mist."
Assuming he cannot get close enought to do a full attack
1d20 + 10 ⇒ (20) + 10 = 30, 1d8 + 1d6 + 4 ⇒ (3) + (4) + 4 = 11 has a +1 magic bite btw, crit confirm 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (10) + 10 = 20, 1d8 + 1d6 + 4 ⇒ (8) + (3) + 4 = 15 extra dmg
Our Mysterious Benefactor |
Vamp 1: 14/26 blinded, prone
Vamp 2: 0/26 re-dead
Thrak's magical teeth tear into the mist, causing it to shred into ribbons of mist that congeal into old, dead blood on the ground. Suddenly only a single patch of mist remains!
The mist moves toward Slumper, and seems to seep through the corpses like water flowing into the ground, disappearing beyond them. Inside, you hear the sounds of growling and hissing...
Slumper gets an attack of opportunity on the mist if he has a magic weapon, Ruperta still has an action before the VampMist goes, and now Corbyn and Slumper are up to finish Round 2!
Ruperta of Hetzau |
Ruperta concentrates and lets a Positive Channel Energy flow from her body to harm the Vampire.
"Please Desna, show your power to the undead!"
Channel Energy (Save Will DC 14 (Enemies have a -1 on their save for the prayer): 3d6 ⇒ (2, 2, 6) = 10
After that she will look for the origin of the crying...
Perception (+1 Prayer): 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (14) + 3 = 17
Our Mysterious Benefactor |
Ruperta's holy power fills the alleyway, as the mist seems to cringe. Will: 1d20 + 5 + 2 - 1 ⇒ (7) + 5 + 2 - 1 = 13
The mist diminishes greatly by Ruperta's holy prayer, and it is Slumper's quick swipe that ends it, as the mist falls apart, become seemingly buckets of dead, clotted blood. From inside the building you hear the sounds of the blood slopping and new hissing...
Corbyn and Slumper have actions to finish Round 3!
Our Mysterious Benefactor |
Slumper, who has shortly been stuffing corpses into a crack, now pulls them away to reveal a small crack about two feet across and three feet high extending to the ground in the wall of the building. It appears he could squeeze through it with some deep breaths and shifting. Pai, on the other hand, fits perfectly fine.
Beyond the crack the room is dark and dusty, however three sets of red glowing eyes peer back at the snack, I mean Slumper!
Slumper |
Slumper sighs,"Great more of you suckers, didn't we just rekill your friends?" to the crack "Little help here"
Slumper attacks the first set of eyes to come towards him while trying to protect anyone else coming in.
1d20 + 11 ⇒ (5) + 11 = 16
1d8 + 5 ⇒ (7) + 5 = 12 +1 longsword didn't add the +1's for prayer just in case not close enough
Our Mysterious Benefactor |
ROUND 3:
24 Ruperta
23 Paxs
16 Pai
15 Vamps
10 Slumper
4 Corbyn
Pai moves near the crack and whisper words of arcane gas! The room beyond fills with gas and the eyes disappear!
Ruperta and Paxs, then the baddies!
Ruperta of Hetzau |
Ruperta moves near the entrance and let another Positive Channel Energy bathe the environment.
"The good of our deeds will vanquish the evil and the undead!"
Channel Energy (Save Will DC 14 - Enemies have a -1 on their save for the prayer): 3d6 ⇒ (3, 6, 5) = 14
Did she found the origin of the crying? Moved Ruperta on Roll20
Our Mysterious Benefactor |
The crying seems to be coming from a balcony about fifty feet up from the alley. You can hear the sounds of a crying baby and a mother murmuring assurances to it as she tries to put it back to sleep.
Ruperta's prayer causes holy power to flood from her.
Will 1: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (6) + 7 = 13
Will 2: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (10) + 7 = 17
Will 3: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (7) + 7 = 14
Vamp 1: 12/26 HP
Vamp 2: 19/26 HP
Vamp 3: 19/26 HP
As the green cloud of poison fills the space beyond, Slumper can see the three eyes fade and disappear. Nothing but the green cloud can be seen beyond now...
Paxs |
Do I have line of effect to Slumper, it is hard for me to make it out on the map? If so I want to cast haste on him, Thrak, Corbyn, and Ruperta (4 rounds)
When making a full attack action, a hasted creature may make one extra attack with one natural or manufactured weapon. The attack is made using the creature's full base attack bonus, plus any modifiers appropriate to the situation. (This effect is not cumulative with similar effects, such as that provided by a speed weapon, nor does it actually grant an extra action, so you can't use it to cast a second spell or otherwise take an extra action in the round.)
A hasted creature gains a +1 bonus on attack rolls and a +1 dodge bonus to AC and Reflex saves. Any condition that makes you lose your Dexterity bonus to Armor Class (if any) also makes you lose dodge bonuses.
All of the hasted creature's modes of movement (including land movement, burrow, climb, fly, and swim) increase by 30 feet, to a maximum of twice the subject's normal speed using that form of movement
Our Mysterious Benefactor |
As Corbyn moves forward and Paxs begins his spell to quicken the pace of the party, the alleyway is still. The greenish sickening cloud inside the room beyond the crack in the wall is still there, but none of the party can see any sign of the undead menaces inside...
We're effectively out of initiative for now. If something happens, we'll go back into initiative and I'll assume that Paxs' haste kicks in then. Until then, feel free to post actions in any order you wish.
Ruperta of Hetzau |
Ruperta grabs her weapons and her face gets a resolved look.
"What we do is flush them out and kill them... "
She then enters the room filled with smoke, and let's another Channel pass over her once she is 15' in.
"By the grace of Desna go back to the hell you were spawned!"
Channel Energy: 3d6 ⇒ (1, 5, 6) = 12
Our Mysterious Benefactor |
Ruperta's Fort Save: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (8) + 6 = 14
Ruperta climbs through the crack and begins to pray, but she is overwhealmed by nausea and begins retching loudly.
Nauseated: Creatures with the nauseated condition experience stomach distress. Nauseated creatures are unable to attack, cast spells, concentrate on spells, or do anything else requiring attention. The only action such a character can take is a single move action per turn.
Rounds: 1d4 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 1 = 2
The good news is that the cloud will dissipate at the end of this round. The bad news is Ruperta's nauseated for 2 rounds following that.
ROUND 4:
24 Ruperta
23 Paxs
16 Pai
15 Vamps
10 Slumper
4 Corbyn
Ruperta chokes, Paxs' spell goes off and Pai gets a turn!
Back in initiative! No sign of the vamps yet, but Pai gets a turn, then the mysterious undead go!
Our Mysterious Benefactor |
Pai holds, thinking the vamps must be close!
And they are! Suddenly three shapes coalesce from the greenish cloud, apparently from where they were hiding as mist among the fog! They surround Ruperta and begin to hiss hungrily...
Pai, Slumper and Corbyn for Round 4!
Slumper |
Slumper attacks the closest vamp trying to flank with Ruperta did not add flanking bonus below - amending to add +1 from haste and the extra attack thanks for reminding me paxs
1d20 + 9 + 1 ⇒ (13) + 9 + 1 = 23 +1 sword
1d8 + 5 ⇒ (3) + 5 = 8
1d20 + 8 + 1 ⇒ (10) + 8 + 1 = 19shield
1d4 + 5 ⇒ (2) + 5 = 7
1d20 + 11 + 1 ⇒ (11) + 11 + 1 = 23 +1 sword hasted
1d8 + 5 ⇒ (5) + 5 = 10
Our Mysterious Benefactor |
Slumper Fort: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (14) + 7 = 21
Slumper moves into the cloud, able to hold his breath enough to ignore the stinging bitterness in the back of his mouth. He strikes, moving supernaturally fast. His attacks strike, doing damage but not penetrating as deeply as he would like, though the vampire he attacks looks battered by the time he's done. Coupled with Pai's timely arcane missile, the vampire explodes into smoke and mist, disappearing into the sickeningly green cloud in the room!
Corbyn moves into the cloud as well, Corbyn Fort: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (7) + 4 = 11, but he too is overcome by the cloud's nauseating effect!
Vamp 1: -1/26 HP
Vamp 2: 19/26 HP
Vamp 3: 19/26 HP
ROUND 5:
24 Ruperta
23 Paxs
16 Pai
15 Vamps
10 Slumper
4 Corbyn
Ruperta, Paxs and Pai are up!
