Damn, I'll be gone until Friday. Still dotting, maybe I'll manage to make the deathline...

Since I can't start now, anyway, I'll check and see what'll be in need when I'm back...

But I just realized none of my pbp chars are gnomes, yet...so current idea(until I check back) is a Dread Gnome going for Divine Caster - but Adept seems bad. Others of the NPC classes offer significant benefits(10 class skills of choice?), while Adept is D6 HP, 2 Skill points, 0 bab, and adds 3 cantrips and a first-level spell(+ bonus if wisdom-based) from a very limited list.
So I'll see if I can come up with something that gets to start in one of the other, more preferable NPC classes...

So my Halfling Commoner (Bard) is done. The one question I have is, does he get feats? I noticed that some other players have given their NPC feats. Also, I changed his name to Hetfield. Look him over, make sure everything is satisfactory. Thanks for the opportunity!

RAW says you get feats based on level, of course GM may differ. 2 feats to be precise. Usually commoners would get skill focus or skill set feats (eg deceptive)

Meridian is ready as far as I can tell.

Characters I have stats for so far
Kyralina Zografu- Aristocrat (Bard)
Izrael Avranxi- Warrior (Hellknight)
Beno Raka- Commoner (Rogue?)
Catherine the Dagger-Expert Rog
Ozzy- Commoner (Bard)
Meridian- Adept(warlock}
Jerax-Warrior
Kirk-Commoner(Bard)

Yes, you get feats as normal. Adepts get spells that you might not have access too in your next level so that is a definite bonus to playing them.

I, for example, get armor and shields proficiencies (Just in case I get Lore Warden or something), so the NPC level is useful even if not the usual!

@GM: Um, I seemed to have been missed. Or is there something wrong with Ileosa?

Feel free to add Roden to your list as he is good to go as an expert (ranger).

Ileosa-Adept(cleric)

Sorry, I meant to add both of those.

Also, Changed Meridian's NPC class to aristocrat. It suits her background better.

No worries, GM. I'm excited to kick this thing off (although this incoming blizzard will no doubt impede my posting availability).

I added some reference pictures to Roden's profile. Check them out if you're into that sort of thing.

Me too, Roden. I've had this song in my head all day in anticipation!!

Hmm, potentially interested. Warrior 1 would be the perfect lead-in to a Hamatalasu monk-in-training, because of the weapon proficiencies.

Want to wait and see where other recruitments go, though; how long will this be open?

I think it's midnight. You better get working, boy!!

Yep, it closes midnight tonight!

Alright, why not. This might be my only chance to propose a Hamatalatsu, so...

Sister Margaletta
Warrior 1
LE (Asmodeus)
Affiliations: Order of the Golden Erinyes

Story:

One of the many Isger orphans taken in by the Sisterhood after the goblinblood wars, Margaletta has recently reached adulthood, showing enough quickness and skill at arms to pick up some of the Order’s training, although she has struggled at understanding the finer points of their philosophy, or the politics in Hell. Stationed at a monastery in Cheliax proper, she has been ordered to learn more of Chelish politics and the influential ways of Hell they mirror before she can become a full member.

As a child, Margaletta was badly burned by a goblin raiding party. The scars she still bears give her a savage, but frightening, appearance, and a bit of resultant shyness; as well as a deep resentment for non-humans, especially on the outskirts of the Empire.

Stats:

Class plans: Monk (Hamatulatsu Master, Qinggong)
Feat plans: Dodge, Improved Grapple, Crane Style, Belier’s Bite, Cornugon Smash, Hamatula Strike
Equipment plans: Hamatulatsu Robe, Swordmaster’s Flair

Traits:
-Masterful Demeanor (+3 Intimidate to non-humans)
-Isgeri Orphan (+1 to Fort saves)
-Bruising Intellect (Intimidate as class skill, uses Int)
-Burned (Drawback; -1 on saves vs fire, -1 to all checks when near fire)

Str 12
Dex 18
Con 12
Int 10
Wis 14
Cha 7

Feats:
-Weapon Finesse (Human Bonus)
-Agile Maneuvers

Equipment:
Jutte (8 gp, 1d6, disarm)
Hooked Lance (3 gp, 1d8, reach, trip)
Ranseur (10 gp, 2d4, reach, disarm)
Hide Armor (15 gp, +4/+4/-3)

Skills:
3 Skill points (Warrior 2 + Human 1)
*Denotes class skill

*Intimidate +4/+7 (1 point, Int-based, +0/+3 vs non-humans)
Perception +3 (1 pont)
Sense Motive +3 (1 point)

Sorry, I meant to add both of those.

@GM- Are you allowing the ACG? Because I built for a warpriest... Ileosa can't really be a good cleric with a 8 in charisma... Well at least not a very good on! XD

I would allow that Ileosa when the AP comes out. I am even allowing some 3rd PP for this.

Woo!

Oh my gosh so many bard/rogues...

@Ileosa: There are plenty of ways to do a low-cha cleric, if you trade away channel (if you do that, though, I'd recommend considering warrior over adept for the heavy armor proficiency)

thunderbeard wrote:

And an urban ranger, hah! It's going to be interesting if we come across a lock. There'll be 3 people clamoring to roll a DD check...

"Locks Smocks", as Jerax sunders door.

Ozzy and Kirk are the same character. I just changed his name to Kirk Hatfield after a mix of the lead singer and lead guitarist of Metallica. For some reason I thought there was a God with the name of Ozmandious or something similar and Ozzy was too close to that. That reduces the number of bards down by one! If we need another potential cleric I would be willing to do that but I would need more time to make him/her. Prefer the bard but willing to play anything for the good of the order.

"Now now Jerax, you should be polite and knock first."

@thunderbeard- true, but I wanted to go warpriest. Been wanting to try the class for a while now and this seems like the perfect AP for it.

I already have a character that I think would be great for this campaign, the only real trouble would be getting him ready for a NPC level and the like and getting him typed out for Paizo.

Concept was a Diabolist in the end, think it would work exceedingly well in a Cheliax setting. Do I still have time to get him adapted or is it midnight already for you?

NAME: Zara Castellos
RACE: Human
CLASS: expert (inquisitor/ranger?)

crunch:

STR: 16 DEX: 14 CON: 12 INT: 10 WIS: 14 CHA: 8
TRAITS: deft dodger, extremely fashionable
FEATS: intimidating prowess, toughness
SKILLS (class): acrobatics 1, bluff 1, diplomacy 0, intimidate 1, know (local) 1, know (religion) 0, perception 1, sense motive 1, stealth 1, survival 0
POSSESSIONS: studded leather, morningstar, dagger, cestus, light crossbow (20 bolts), backpack, belt pouch, bedroll, whetstone, canteen, rations (4), flint & steel, chalk (10), torch (2)

fluff:

Zara has always sought a life beyond the small village of Longacre, yet has seemed to have little opportunity for it. Her mother passed when she was young and her father, a sweet outgoing man, had no hand for parenting and little mind for business. As such she was forced to raise herself while also learning the ins and outs of his shop, leaving her little time for socialization. She has the shop running well, as her stern gaze and imposing physique have made her quite skilled at negotiating with traders that come to the village. It may also have something to do with the knowledge that she beat a would-be thief into unconsciousness.

A dutiful servant of Asmodeus, she also offers prayers to several of Asmodeus's lieutenants among the archdevils as well. She keeps her ears to the ground, and few notice her comings and goings. Perhaps her future will lead her into the clergy, perhaps seeking out those unfaithful to Asmodeus and the nation of Cheliax.

Still working on the fluff and mechanics but I wanted to show you that I'm working on him. Need to get his gear and then his backstory.

Hey Jerax! Should I change the name back to Ozzy?

Since we have lots of rogues, I'll include a second character, that is going arcane, and Catherine the Dagger can be retired.

Alicia De'ville
Human, female, Adept (wizard, evoker)
HP 9
Str 8 DEX 12 CON 10 INT 18 WIS 15 CHA 8
feats dodge, toughness

skills:

+8 know arcana 1+3+4

+6 survival 1+3+2

Traits
seeker: perception as class skill
volatile conduit: +1d4 damage to fire magic
spells
Lv 0 guidance, detect magic, light
Lv1 sleep, burning hands

equipment
Dagger, darts x5, backpack

Okay, I think I have the character done with it all. DM, I hope you forgive me with the time constraints not fully fleshing out his backstory and only going with a couple of major backstory points.

Backstory:
-Sarvin's father or grandfather is/was a somewhat prominent Conjurer within Cheliax's upper echelon and gave Sarvin a spellbook with a few basic spells in it and has large expectations of him.
-Sarvin himself knows that the best way to move within Cheliax's power structure is to win over the Devils that make up the power structure, but he has higher aspirations than that. He doesn't want to serve one, he wants to become one in his own right with all the power that comes across.
-Obviously not being a very strong man he tries to get away through life using a cunning tongue as opposed to brute force.
