I went with flat footed, because he made an effort to distract everyone first. :p. And touch ac, because it doesn't matter for where it impacts.
"I will try to remember that throwing snow is off limits to anyone but Elisa in the future." the same abnormally emotionless voice responded, leaving it hard to gauge as a joke. "I will go to the inn. It would be better to have a feast for those who require food, and allow everyone's stores to last an additional day."

Elisa Anima |

Elisa shrugged at the question.
"I've no real idea what your armor is so it's hard to say if they are similar. Summoned at will, able to maintain it, and can enhance it with my focus, Sound similar? "
Referring to the Snow
She shrugged. "I was just trying to make time pass faster, when we didn't have tracks to focus on it would make for a dull walk."

Jin Hebimoto |

Jin gave a fervent nod " Amazingly similar, as of note I am wearing a light version of it as of right now. The other form you might have seen while I was Hunting, it is more offensive, placing great strength in the arms and legs, a bit more maneuverable. What I often wear is for defensive purposes. Perhaps with training I could learn a bit of your methods. Sparring if you were up to it. ", he seemed to list a-matter-of-factually.
When she answered the query of the snow he seemed..confused, " I had been so focused on our objective that a thought such as boredom did not cross my mind. I suppose I've wanted to engage in such frivolity at a point in my life. Your aim must have been great.. or I made for an easy target? " stroking his chin.
Sense Motive: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (3) + 2 = 5
With Lan however, it was hard to read. Was he serious or telling a joke, he couldn't fathom considering the lack of expression. " Well, I do not believe it is actually restricted to her alone. I believe the proper procedure would have opposition to the snow battle. But a feast seems like a good chance to earn more of each other, if we plan on cooperating in the future. I wonder if there will be a reward? "

Lan Minerva |

"I am able to rely on trapping, even while gone. I cannot follow tracks, but I am able to bait a loop of rope."

Jin Hebimoto |

" Perhaps I should teach you how to do so Lan, just in case ofcourse. Getting lost is something that can very well happen here. I myself work for the Temple and us my knowledge to heal others. The compensation will undoubtedly be worth the risk. I'm more wondering if it is assets or coin? "

Zaralastra |

Zaralastra notes the conversation between Jin and Lan with interest.
I cannot manifest physical extensions of my body such as weapons or armor, but I have a certain facility for controlling the body itself.

Lan Minerva |

"The only thing I require to sustain myself is shelter." Lan responds. He was curious about Zara's abilities, as they clearly didn't show precisely what they were doing, or why.

Jin Hebimoto |

Jin quirks a brow at that and digs deeper " What can you do Zara? Change your form to that of another? I have heard of beings who can do such or those who can expedite the healing process within an individual. Lan, I meant tracking. It matters not if you can live without food or water, the ability to find your place in the wilderness and note the type of creatures that exist can allow you to evade death by meeting such, like the wolf. It is also possible to expend your psionic gift and suffer due to necessity of use. "

Zaralastra |

My abilities focus on control of my body. As such, they are not as overt as yours or Lan's but they are nonetheless useful in their way. I can experience any sense through the means of another sense. For example, I can feel sounds or hear light. This augments my perception beyond that of those not similarly gifted.

Jin Hebimoto |

" Ahh, so the gifts you have are those which are not easily seen. not the openly projective type. Such abilities would be quite useful with conditions such as light blindness, darkness and unmanageable weather. "

Zaralastra |

Yes, my abilities are, generally speaking, not visible or at least not easily visible. That may change to some extent over time as I acquire a greater range of abilities, but my abilities will never be overt to the extent of your armor or Elisa's blade.

Jin Hebimoto |

Lan doesn't use a Blade, You mean Elisa
" Everyone has their strengths it seems. I am not fully sure how the growth of our abilities will end but hopefully it is to our advantage. Living up here, unable to explore the world as I hear it once was is disheartening. However I have heard of the ability to roam if one were strong enough. I wish to do so myself eventually, bringing my experiences to others, perhaps creating safer routes. On that note, I will need to vary my repertoire as currently I have no ranged capability. Maybe you should also invest in some form of Rifle? "

Zaralastra |

I am currently working on certain ranged psionic abilities. That would be my preference over a rifle as my ability with physical weaponry is all but nonexistent.

Jin Hebimoto |

No problem, simple mistakes
" Well, truth be told they are quite expensive and not exactly common. We have to trade from the neighboring village to procure them ad every shot is still an expense. However, the weapon is amazingly easy to wield, even one such as yourself could use the armament. Aim; pull the trigger. I was thinking more along the lines of when your resources or depleted or wish to be.. placed in reserve. Perhaps I could try forming one again, though I doubt it will work. "

lol, you have a +1 perception

Jin Hebimoto |

Jin looks at the woman for a second, trying to figure out the proper words to say as just meeting a woman reminded him of the debacle. It was only a slight pause, but noticeable. Jin pats the furs and meet he has on his person an smiles, " Hello there, glad you are still available for us. We have just come back from a little.. 'Hunting trip' and would like no other place than 'The Eye' for the night. I plan on paying for this ut it will involve this pelt and some other gain soon. I'm sure that will not be a problem for one night? I am known for my honor when it comes to a promise. If that is reasonable to you the standard warm butter bread and stew would be welcome. "

Zaralastra |

It's a +4 to perception, not +1, and it makes me effectively immune to being blinded. Plus it's a lot easier to describe than something like Inertial Armor or Circumstance Shield.

Lan Minerva |

Hearing through your face is pretty well an ability beyond that of a normal person :p
Lan remains quiet as he follows along, maintaining his empath ability as he goes. He rarely focuses it on anyone in particular, simply grabbing the 'group-thought' so to speak. But he does focus it on the girl when she appears, and will likely do so on each new individual that they encounter.

Jin Hebimoto |

True, Point
Jin ushers the rest of the 'Hunting Party' in as they get out of the cold to see how the accommodations are for this night. Lan was his normal quiet self and thus hard to gauge. They had fought a deady creature and lived so this rest was well earned.

jimibones83 |

A logical thing? How do you figure asking a buisness to give you stuff and let you pay them when you come up with the money is logical?
Yur lucky this is a game where bartering is common, or there would have been no diplomacy check for a chance at all. That s~%& certainly wouldnt work at the holiday inn.

Zaralastra |

I'm not sure if you did or not, but a town of this size presumably must have some type of temporary lodging somewhere. If it isn't here, the waitress will know where it is.

jimibones83 |

You guys would know where it is yourself, I was just making a point, being that he assumed too much, for numerous reasons

jimibones83 |

"I'm sorry Jin, you'd have to work that out with the old man, but he's not here right now. Tell ya what though, I heard you and the boys were off in the wild. Let me buy ya's a drink to welcome you home." She gestures you all to sit down, then heads behind the counter. She brings you each back a warm cup of coffee, spiked of course.

Jin Hebimoto |

Jin nods and accepts the gesture happily " I understand, I wouldnt want to bother you with more than what is needed. If possible I will make amends for this gesture. Ah, I know, perhaps I shall get a seamstress to create some form of gift from the fur? I must pay you back in some way. " taking a furtive sip of his coffee, which was one of his least favorite drinks, feigning pleasure.
Bluff: 1d20 - 1 ⇒ (5) - 1 = 4

Lan Minerva |

She would likely know that Lan would pass on drinks that weren't something as simple as 'melted snow'. Any more effort than that would be more effort than he would want others to take on his part, unless he were in dire straits.

Lan Minerva |

Lan seemed confused somewhat by the innocuous statement. "All the good things are taken when you wait."

Jin Hebimoto |

Jin's eye twitched slightly as a bead of sweat graced his brow from Lan's comment. " I-It's a phrase. Its supposed to represent patience itself often leads to opportunities that reacting too quickly will overlook. For.. some races this can be a literal thing. Wear if they are long lived can simply wait out a problem or opportunity because they will outlive it. Eventually gaining that which they wanted. "
Jin also noticed Elisa's thought process and tried to make it bearable " Well, just think of the results I guess? " he was bad at that.

Lan Minerva |

"Why wait when you can do something more productive? It is better to act or react than to sit and wait for what you want to occur. It is quite probable that what you seek will not come to pass if you do not guide the patterns in the direction you desire."

Jin Hebimoto |

" You use traps correct? Trapping requires patience and choice of area.. The animals do not simply appear in your trap. The same applies to this phrase. And this phrase applies to our previous task as well. Rather than attack a giant outright we gathered information and watched. Patience is a virtue. However it does not mean action is a vice. "

Lan Minerva |

"I do not simply wait for my traps to work. I do other things, then check the traps, then do other things, once more."

Jin Hebimoto |

" And that is waiting... because Traps work no other way. Well without use of Aether.. so something. Th same is said with farming or raising a child. There are things that are better not to rush or cannot be rushed. "

Lan Minerva |

Lan returned to being quiet. He disagreed that he was waiting for anything. As a point of fact, even now he was maintaining his empath spell to better gauge his interactions with others, and the interpersonal relations therein.

Jin Hebimoto |

Jin shrugged, " I am glad of that which I have currently.. but would rather have some form of tea. Hrmm since we have a little time what do you all think we have experienced from our venture? I believe I might need to invest in some sort of portable shelter.. a well as a ranged weapon. Some resistance to cold might be in order as well outside of our clothing. "

Lan Minerva |

"I can provide some renumeration towards shelter; I am unable to carry it, however. If we continue working for the council, I would suggest a tent large enough to house a fire without catching fire itself."

Lan Minerva |

Lan actually frowned slightly, that one of the -Elders- was waiting, but stood and started heading for the door almost immediately, still using empath. It was focused on the boy for now, since he was another new object of interest.
