In Curse of the Crimson Throne, book 5 as I recall, there's a huge castle the players explore, a la Ravenloft. One wing is taken over by this undead creature called the Danse Macabre which draws people into it's dance. Classic horror stuff.

It was great, I made the entire castle on battle paper. It was my chance to run a version of castle Ravenloft. I loved the CCT adventure path because it offered a real variety of settings. Urban, rural, underground, sprawling castle. To date it's the only AP I've run all the way through.

Now I'm probably showing my age, but I remember reading the Ravenloft novels with Jander Sunstar et al. Ravenloft was great, oozing with theme and building on the classic horror tropes rather than leaning on them. And it was so meta too, touching all the other campaign settings via the mists. Lord Soth finding himself there was a great read :)

Well Orlovskis, I think we need to do some recruiting. Natalya and Lorald you are great and I am more than willing to continue running this thread for you, with Marlani's occasional input. I'll adjust the difficulty as needed (not that you need it much), but if you know anyone who might want to join us feel free to invite them.

The other parties are also heading back to Freewater now. Perhaps now might be an opportunity to address if anyone might want to jump over to the Orlovskys. Not to suggest you would poach anyone, or that anyone over there is unhappy, but one share of four, is better than what they are getting in their current parties.

We have 14 players all-told at the moment. If everyone were to divide evenly that would 4-5 players on each party. Whereas now we have 6, 5 and 3. Which is fine by me if it's fine by you. I'm just saying we have options.

On the subject of new party blood, I'm for doing an 'everyone is back at Freewater, we've taken the next kingdom turn, here are the rumors/things to do, let's create teams to solve the problems' sort of thing. That has more of an organic feel to party composition, though that being said I'd prefer to stay with Lorald, he's pulled Natalya's proverbial from the fire more than once so she trusts him.

Natalya knows whatever happened to her was caused by the Dancing Lady's dying words, that much is obvious. The concept of a dying curse requires no special knowledge, everyone would be familiar with the idea, if not the precise mechanics.

Knowledge of Fey is covered by knowledge: nature, and knowledge of spells by spellcraft.

Btw I think we should keep the scrolls, potions, and wands at least until we see if anyone else wants to buy or trade for them. We are not magic heavy but some others are. Also noticed I dipped in ranger so any of their spells I can use trigger items for, so can you for that matter.

I don't have time tonight to compile the list and sort it out. So I hope you don't mind if I table it for now.

Lorald, I suspect it might be more hassle than help to offer the items out given the large number of peeps we have, unless you want to give them over to the resident/soon-to-be-resident NPC magic converter person. In addition, not to seem too mercenary, but do we have a central treasury to contribute things to? I don;t think everyone (given the acknowledged WBL concerns we have in the campaign) would necessarily welcome a 'magic item tithe' as such, and it might be a nightmare to keep track of and keep fair.

Also, given the fluctuating nature of the parties as they sally forth and slay bad guys and acquire loot, I figure it might be always best to distribute loot at the end of a 'tour' so everything remains fair at all times.

Just my two cents and happy to hear your opinion!

Amount sounds good to me for the gp split yay! What I might do is snaffle those divine scrolls so we have some flexibility whilst out and about, happy for everything else to be thrown in the group pool. Let's see if we can start a trend :)

'Fey friendship quest'-wise (nice naming btw!) let's do the usual, sell all non-consumables and chuck the rest in the 'Founder's adventuring resource room'. In other news, we need to get Dai Hu to write 'Founder's adventuring resource room' on a scroll and nail it to the door of an unused room in the castle :s
