Shale has one of the Justice League armoured space-suits donned with a thousandth of a second of when he unbuckles his seat. Naturally, he was forced to take one of the Jet-Pack models, even through the idea of maneuvering under a power other than his own kinda rankled.
He runs the system check as he did before during his training, though truth be told, this would be the first time he'd actually fought in a vacuum or micro-gravity. As the Justice League generally tries to play to the strengths of their members when making assignments, zero-G endeavours had not previously made much sense for the speedster. Of course, this was an all-hands-on-deck kind of situation. He was still both super strong and nearly indestructible; both handy traits in any fight.
tumbler: Let me know if these suits might have any blasters or such on them, or if the Javelin had an armoury for Leaguers that use such things. If so, he'll grab some sort of range weapon, like a blaster rifle. As well, let me know a reasonable top speed for the jet packs.
Equipped and ready, he moved to the airlock with the others. As the doors opened, he though briefly about using his last contact with a substantial object to give himself a little starting boost to his speed, but thought better of it.
Better not; 6000 lbs of mass pushing off from the ship at any reasonable speed would probably knock the whole craft off course.
Instead, he activated the suit's thrusters, heading out at its maximum speed.
Really? This is maximum speed? Damn it. I guess mass and power are my best tools in this fight.
Aiming himself for the biggest, dumbest, ugliest, and hopefully slowest one of the hoard he spot, Shale aims to slam into him, striking out with a lightning fast rabbit punch, and then snaring the alien into a fierce grapple (via Improved Grab).
Punch w/All-Out Attack: 1d20 + 12 + 5 ⇒ (7) + 12 + 5 = 24 (Save DC Toughness 27)
Grapple: 1d20 + 9 + 12 + 4 ⇒ (9) + 9 + 12 + 4 = 34
For defense, grapple check is Attack Bonus + Strength Bonus + Super Strength rank + Size modifier (+4 per category)
If he's a minion and gets knocked out, Shale will grapple anyway, since he'll probably be my weapon against the next target...

As far as details about things like Javelins and space suits, or whatever else comes up that is reasonable, you guys can feel free to design those things and submit them for my and the group's approval. Obviously, you can't have spacesuits as equipment that offer ranks of things similar to maxxed out heroic levels, but if you want to have a space suit that offers flight 3 and life support, I'm fine with that. Honestly, I'm finding this campaign a little harder to administer than I expected, mostly because I didn't do a lot of prep work and builds in advance, so if you system wonks want to pick up some of my slack, I wouldn't mind at all.
At them same time, let me compliment all of you. You are either crazy or have not at all cheated by looking up stats for your current opponents considering the way you are charging at them.

I'll have him try to grapple you on his turn, so for now this is just a description.

I think we can reasonably treat the virus like an machine opponent. If you think of what is going on sort of like the way Ultron attacks Jarvis in Age of Ultron, but with lots of little virus strands attacking the computers and VICTOR/Cyborg defending, that is the general idea. I'll riff on whatever you come up with. I have stats for the virus.

Neil takes a long deep breath and grimaces in pain as the nanites that make up his power armor seeps back into his skin. 6 seconds. It's always 6. One of the first times he integrated the nanites into his body, he pushed it too far and nearly flayed himself alive. On national television. He kept his composure rather well but he could feel himself bleeding from every pore beneath the armor. He learned a very valuable lesson in patience, and also testing things before public demonstrations. He gives his body a quick shake before taking a seat.
"All right, VICTOR, let's see what you've got for me this ti---
Neil falls back, hitting the ground, in a convulsive fit. His nanite arm and leg begin to twitch violently, sporadically changing forms. Mentally accessing VICTOR's mainframe made him susceptible to whatever was attacking the system.
"Dr. Raval! Get out b-b-before it infects you too!" Vic Stone's familiar voice yells out to him. Victor had been a dear colleague, more a mentor, during Neil's early years. When Victor decided to fully digitize, Neil was among a select few chosen to assist.
"No way, Vic! I can't let you take this alone!"
"It thinks you're apart of my system. It won't stop until it takes both of us over." Victor's disembodied voice replies.
"Well, we're not going to let that happen. Distract them and I'll come up with a countermeasure!"
Now mentally trapped in the digital recesses of VICTOR's mainframe, Neil dons his SCEPTER armor.
To be honest, most of that movie is a blur to me. Blinking lights, was it? I really need to see it again. I can't help but think of Tron.

Damage to Objects
Objects are only affected by lethal damage. They do not suffer nonlethal
damage conditions.
• An “injured” object is damaged and suffers the normal –1 penalty per
condition further Toughness saves.
• A “disabled” object is badly damaged. Disabled equipment and
devices no longer function, while disabled barriers have holes
punched through them, and other disabled objects may be bent,
deformed, or otherwise damaged.
• A “dying” object is destroyed. Damaged and disabled objects can be
repaired. It’s up to the GM whether or not a destroyed object is repairable;
if it is, the difficulty of the Craft check is the same as creating
an entirely new item.
So the ship takes 1 injury, a -1 on future toughness checks

Does "Submit Post" mean "Delete everything you just typed" in some language I don't know about? Here we go again...
Shocked for a split second in regards to his enemy's apparent skill, Shale fortunately has the benefit of a highly relative relationship with time, and therefore has as much time as he could possibly want to get over his surprise. Being held in the classic Human-shield position doesn't leave him any great deal of options, but he is far from defenseless. Bringing the point of his elbow up into the face of the man behind him, he throws a blindingly fast barrage of strikes into the alien's brutish face. However, being held tight, there is little he can do to escape the sword wielding alien's attack.
Barrage Attack: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (18) + 12 = 30
Toughness vs. Laser Sword: 1d20 + 15 ⇒ (12) + 15 = 27
The laser sword beats into the grappled hero, slicing into his pressure suit and into the flesh below. He'd have gasped if he'd still had atmosphere to breathe, but with the suit ruptured, the air sprayed out, white mist against the black backdrop of space. Mere seconds later however, the nanofibres in the suit were weaving themselves back together, and the suit pressurized mere moments later.
As an attack 20 previously struck, it should be sufficient to max-out the bonus on his Autofire attack, and is a Critical for Shale via Improved Crit. As a result, the Toughness DC for Mongul 4 is 37.
Mongul's Toughness Save: 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (4) + 14 = 18
Failure by 19: Unconscious.
Striking again and again, Shale's elbow first draws blood from the man's brow, then cheek, then lip, and so on as his powerful resistance is beaten down. In the space of a moment, his nose is crushed, front teeth knocked free, and his face reduced to so much paste. The man's limbs go limp as his whole body goes slack, and his hold of the hero relaxes.
Now faced with just one opponent, Shale draws a dull metallic rod, about 30 cm long, off his belt; with a swift motion the device shifts growing longer and taking on shape. When done, it is a full length sword, double edged and more than four feet long. Apparently, this is the same sword he used before to destroy the tanks and the walker, but this time with a slightly different shape - more of a traditional two handed sword and more suited to dueling than the curved blade he sported before.

Rigor Rictus |

I'm ok with receiving a good pummeling, if needs be, to act as Earth's last defense. Unless it were to regroup and come up with a new strategy, or to get reinforcements (which we don't have), then we may just have to go "Once more unto the breach, dear friends, once more; Or close the wall up with our English Earthly dead."
I'm not sure a better strategy exists for a space battle - most of us are not flyers, let alone deep space oriented; floating in micro-G and depending on a jetpack does not play to my powerset's strength. If we could lead them onto solid ground, or even into the atmosphere, I'd be all for it.
However, at the end of the day, their mooks are the same PL as us, and there are twice as many of them as us, so ya, this is probably at best a holding action. See how many we can take out before the rest overwhelm us.
However, as tumbler pointed out, sometimes the heroes have to get a good beating in Act 1 in order to pull it together for the miraculous win later...
*Secure Channel* "They are not fragile foes. We need to work together. Guard each other's backs and concentrate your efforts on your ally's opponents. We need to reduce their numbers or they will overwhelm us. There is no one else standing between them and Earth."

Debbie begins to crack the earth with an indignant stride, scooping up a nearby Chevy as she makes her way toward the new arrivals.
" ALRIGHT. I don't know who you folks think you are and I might be new to this whole hero thing, but I'm no stranger to dealing with troublemakers. "
She stops just before her next step would stomp the two into the cement and begins lightly tossing vehicle in her palm up and in the air like an oversized baseball. She let the moment hang in there for a few beats before putting on her best mom voice.
"SO. Two things are going to happen. A. You're NOT going to go anywhere near that Robo gentleman. And B. You're going to apologize for refering to me as that jaguar print flaunting psycho."

Purple will save: 1d20 + 14 + 2 ⇒ (4) + 14 + 2 = 20
Just to make sure I'm clear, the purple guy isn't wearing any Kryptonian insignia and doesn't precisely look like Superman, not to the degree that Cyborg Superman does, for example. But his silhouette is remarkably like Superman.
Purple says to his companion, "She seems to disagree with your assertion that she is Giganta, and she also seems to think that she can prevent us from taking them. Can you defend yourself?"
The Eva clone replies, "At this point in the 21st century, there is an 86% chance that a size changing female human hero or villain encountered near the Hall of Justice is Giganta, either Doris Zuel, who is known as an adversary for the second Wonder Woman, Diana Prince, or a gorilla genetically manipulated by Grodd the First. My scans indicate that she is not a gorilla. If she is not Giganta, she may have additional abilities beyond growth and super strength, or Giganta may have developed differently in this timeline and have additional abilities. I would advise caution when dealing with her."
Purple turns to Debbie, nodding respect before taking to the air to rise up even with her head, "Dear Lady, forgive me. I see now that you are not a 'jag-u-ar printwearing psycho.' Perhaps we can begin again on a more friendly footing. My aid, here, indicated that you were a supervillain named Giganta. Clearly, that is not the case. I must insist, however, that we take your friend, the 'Robo gentleman' as you observed. We believe him to be the Technomancer, and our Commander has decreed that the inventor of nanoweave be brought before him. If you would feel more comfortable accomanying us, that could be arranged, but we will have to move quickly. If you resist, I will have to give my all to ensure that you do not stand in our way."
