Liberty's Edge

The room beyond the doors has clearly laid undisturbed for thousands of years. Layers of dust coat the floor and the corridor that runs off it is choked with thick cobwebs.

The Thassilonian murals that decorate the walls are as vibrant as if they were painted yesterday.

Draz laughs. "They see! That is why Dwarves are not reknowned for word games!" Well Done my friends! Now, it is obvious that nothing has passed that corridor for aeons - unless it be a spirit. I say we check the other exits before pushing on that way. i don't like the thought of enemies creeping up behind us." To speed things up we could split up to investigate the other ways.

good work Kennos! now should we re seal this door? We don't want them sneaking into it behind our backs and taking everything we have fought for.

dm:
can we move the runes using a dagger? So we don't get burned

Liberty's Edge

Domingo:
No the runes will only move at the touch of living flesh.

North exit:

Upon opening the door it is immediately apparent that the chambers beyond have collapsed, whether through the passage of time or deliberately you cannot say but there is no way through the thousands of tonnes of stone that now bar the way.

North East exit:

Several pieces of furniture decorate this room, the modern furnishings clashing with the ancient carvings of Thassilonian wizards crafting deformed monsters from dead bodies decorating the walls. Luxurious crimson drapes have been hung in the south east to form an alcove in which is a large, comfortable looking bed.

On the table in the room are sections of wall mural, coins, jewelry, gems and pieces of pottery - all seemingly scavenged from the rooms throughout the Crow. They have a total value of 1000gp.

A small chest under the bed also contains 85gp and 175sp.

Let me know what, if anything, you are doing in these rooms

"You said it Davos. I could spend weeks here lost in the history of this place. For now though, it seems that the Tower Girls are no more. I say we take the opportunity to rest, heal our wounds and prepare for the next leg of the journey. If we can re-seal those doors it would be wise to take time to clear out this place and trade up what we've got so far. We can re-stock and perhaps re-arm ourselves. Apart from that, Davos was hit hard by that poison and I know he's not at full stregnth. We should get him to someone who can heal him fully. What say you all? Does anyone know if we can re-seal these doors?"

He chanels the healing energy of his god and divine energy flows through the group.

Gelbor stood back in all the commotion about the door, having no idea what the anwser could be but never doubting his new friends, he might be good the sneaky side of things but quizzes you couldn't just break were never his strong suit.

"We can vote, but it seems the minority want to move on. Let's move in I really don't want to spend another night in this place." Then looking down at himself covered in blood and god knows what, he sighs. "I also really need a wash and so could you lot." Domingo looks down at his own blood soaked clothing, his jerkin is stiff as a board beneath his armour , and he is splattered with gore.

It is true I am not at my best, when we next rest I will put on some fresh clothing, but for now I can endure. The idea of being the first to explore this place after so long is quite exciting, I admit I am most eager to see where this door leads. I can see Davos is desperate to get inside, we will just have to move carefully.

Male Half-elf Rogue 3 HP 27 | AC 17 | FF 14 | T13 | saves 3/7/2 | Init +4 | Percep +9

Then we're all in agreement. On we go.

With a smile at Dom mention of being the first to explore this place in thousands of year Gelbor turns around to look at the group.

"I never though of it like that Dom, I was never one out for exploring more in the gains it could get you." and then an even bigger grin washes over his face."Just think of the possible spoils we could find down there gold, ancient magical armor and weapons..." he trails off lost in the though of what loot could be below.

Liberty's Edge

The party decides to carry, some eager to conclude their business in the place, others imagining riches, wealth and knowledge greater than thy have ever encountered.

The corridor is choked with thick webs. Although you cut and burn them away you inevitably get coated in sheets of the sticky stuff and constantly have to fight the feeling that things are crawling all over you.

The corridor ends in another steeply descending staircase which in turn opens into a larger chamber.

You find yourselves on a balcony overlooking this room. Two short staircases lead down into the room proper which is dominated by a large pool of algae-covered water. Thick streaks of guano stain the walls and floor and from your elevated position you can see exits leading off to the north west and north east.

Round 1 – Summary

Two large blobs of protoplasmic gunge burst out of the pool as Domingo and Drazhak advance into the room. They strike out and one hits Domingo with a wet slap, leaving a burning mark where it touched him.

The other tries to latch on to Drazhak and whilst one of his pauldrons shows a scorch where it hit, he feels no ill effect.

The warriors retreat to a better position while the rogue, bard and wizard all land hits on the closest thing, causing big gobbits of slime to go flying in all directions.

Round 2 – Enemy

When Domingo retreats, the amoeba furthest away sits in place and splodges squelchily for a moment before plurging back into the pool and disappearing below the surface.

The other one, with its prey still relatively close, advances as best it can, leaving a slimy trail behind it.

Reaches the top of the stairs with a double move. Cannot attack this round.
