Despite the tanglefoot bag missing, the plan works almost to perfection. The disgusting rat barrels toward Drazhak and though he is ready to meet its bulk it snakes its head beneath his shield and takes a chunk out of the meat of his thigh.
Gelbor and Domingo slash deep wounds in the beast as it runs past but its thick, matted fur catches Kennos' blade without piercing the flesh beneath.

Round 2 - Summary
The rat near eviscerates Domingo, it’s teeth ripping and gouging at his mid-section, gouts of blood drenching the swordsman’s breeches.
Gelbor plunges his blade into it’s back and though it gives a shriek it barely pauses for a moment.
As his body slips into shock, Domingo’s own reposte is easily dodged and with the taste of blood in its mouth the rat continues to harry the others. Drazhak, recognising the dire situation of his companion, attempts to heal him but is barged by the thrashing rat, causing his spell to fail. Davos is similarly unsuccessful with his spell but Kennos calmly steps back and uses his magic to close some of Domingo’s wounds.
Round 3 – Enemy

Straightening up he clenches his teeth against the pain and slams his blade deep into the rats exposed flank.

Domingo grits his teeth and strengthens his resolve. As the thing rears to bite Gelbor, he executes a perfect horizontal cut, slicing deeply into its belly. With a horrifying shriek it thrashes around uncontrollably, both its guts and hideous half-formed dire rat foetuses spill out to squirm weakly on the floor for a few moments before blessedly remaining still.
Disgusted and still in some pain, the rogue drives his blade through the top of the rats head and into its brain, silencing it forever.
Combat Over
Don Domingo Delagroza
Domingo slumps against the wall, despite his grievous wound he pulls a rag from his belt, wipes his blade and sheathes it.
I am ok Gelbor that was a nice finish. kennos has slowed the bleeding for now. Thank you my friend, that thing nearly tore me in two. I owe you one. I will need to rest soon though, I cannot fight much longer with this wound.

He looks at Domingo. "I am sorry, I could not heal you. That thing broke my focus and I lost the spell. Would that I had held it back instead, I could have healed you now."
He grimaces at the pain in his leg and looks around.
"So what now gentlemen? I am hurt, but could continue if needs be." He laughs grimly at Domingo. "Oh but we are a sorry sight indeed my friend! Do we rest or continue to explore this floor. I am now in favour of revising our strategy and taking time to recover before we push on. Gelbor is there anything of use in this room that you can see?"
Kennos Slynt
yeah gelbor you check out the shit covered room
Kennos smiles and laughs
But seriously at the moment I think you shouldn't this thing was pregnant which means there's at least one other rat unless that weird rat thing was its lover.
Kennos pulls a face at the thought
No problem domingo if i could i would give you more i could, I think we should rest up I'm all out of spells and these constant fights are wearing me out
Don Domingo Delagroza
Domingo smiles weakly and claps Draz on the back,
nothing to be sorry about Draz, that foul thing caught us all off guard. I didn't expect it to be so fierce!
Domingo sits down heavily, he has never felt so weary. Pulling his canteen from his bag he takes a long drink and then rinses his mouth, spitting out the bloody water.
I'm just gonna take a couple of minutes gentlemen, need to catch my breath.
Drazhak Grimbold
Drazhak picks his axe up. "Right then. I don't think much of resting here with this stench. Let us return to the other room where we can barricade the entrace with those tables. Once there, I will tend our wounds as best I can without magic. It should still aid the healing process while we rest for a few hours. You coming my friend?" He leans down and offers Dom his hand to help him up.
Don Domingo Delagroza
reaching out his hand he grunts as Draz hauls him upright,
sounds like a good idea, lets get away from this place, the stench is turning what's left of my stomach! Domingo laughs a little at his own joke and a fresh bubble of blood bursts from his lips.

He then turns back to Dom and drops his backpack to the floor.
"Remove your armour."
From out of his backpack, he produces his healer's kit and spreads its contents over the floor.
He then unhooks his bedroll from the bottom of his pack an places it behind Dom's head before bathing his wound using water from his skein. Drazhak then sets about stitching the wound before applying a foul smelling salve and wrapping Dom's abdomen in clean bandages.

After some time you set up a ramshackle, but perfectly serviceable barricade.
You spend a nervous night in the deathly quiet of the Crow. Very few sounds penetrate the thick stone of its walls and those that carry from within echo and take on weird distortions. You feel you can occasionally hear a cry of desperation or anger or pain - you cannot tell which - nor can you determine its direction given the way the sound bounces of the labarynthine halls.
The night passes.
Don Domingo Delagroza
Domingo grits his teeth against the pain as Draz tends to his wound.
thank you my friend, I will try to eat a little now and then I will sleep.
Domingo rises later than the others, his every movement brings a fresh wave of pain from his stitched abdomen and torn muscles.
Pulling on his leather armour tests his pain threshold to the limit and he slumps down again, pale from the exertion.
I feel like that beast put a rat inside me and its eating its way out! Ill try and eat something now and they we should get moving

Map updated. Also included an overview map so you can see exactly where you are in relation to everything.
After a restless sleep and quick discussion in the morning, the party presses on.
You return to the room where you fought the wererat, knowing that there is only one passage you haven't explored. The bodies of the Tower Girls, unsurprisingly, are still present. The pools of blood beneath them congealing into thick, almost black sludge. You notice with some discomfort that many of the extremities such as fingers and noses, have been chewed away.
Moving into the room at the end of the hall you see that several crates, barrels and sacks are stacked here in an orderly fashion. There is another room leading off to the south.
