Gelbor looks around the chamber very uneasily. "I do not like the look of this.. Keep your guard up anything could be here even your fiant moles Dom." He then looks around the room trying to pinpoint that sound.

Then moves into the room more, with his weapons drawn.

It's very difficult to pinpoint the source of the sound. At one time it sounds as if it is right beside you, the next it could be thirty feet away.

As Davos walks to the center of the room the sound stops abruptly and an uncomfortable hush descends. Suddenly there is a rush of clicking and scratching and out of one of the mounds scurries an enormous ant, its mandibles chattering together, its black eyes seemingly dead like those of a shark.

Kennos drops his shield and whip and draws his bow

Gelbor narrows his eye's and spots the massive ant, he then takes a deep breath and steps forward then let's lose his dagger. AA19

"A massive ant in the back of the room!"

Drazhak mumbles something in Dwarven and casts a spell on himself, then moves into the chamber, his axe and shield at the ready. Cast Bull's Strength and move to X20

Domingo raises his sword and moves forward cautiously into the room, he can soon see the huge ant perched atop its mound .

look at the size of that thing, I must try and avoid its mandibles, they look sharp enough to cut a man in half. I must attack swiftly and with power, I think k capoferro will suffice

Ill post to keep things moving but Davos, take your round 1 and 2 actions together.

Round 1 - Enemy

The pony-sized ant rushes toward Gelbor, its mandibles chattering.

Bite, Gelbor, charge: 1d20 + 3 + 2 ⇒ (4) + 3 + 2 = 9 Miss

Round 2 - Heroes

Come on lads we are the boot that is going to squash this ant into nothingness
Kennos words seems to give of inspiration

Davos moves to AA23 to see the creature

Davos ready's a spell and casts Ray of frost

Davos turns around to take another shot at the ant as its attacking Gelbor

Davos' ray blasts the ant and it collapses in a heap of twitching legs.

Domingo and Gelbor are yet to act in Round 2. The noise continues.

Gelbor seeing the ant collapse in front of him flashes a short smile of disbelief as he didn't get hit this time.

"Well that was a close one... but it sounds like it's not over yet, let's try and keep together."

He then bends down and pulls his dagger out of the ant.

"Maybe we can try and trigger more to pop out and take them out before they get too close i don't want to be over run."

He then looks around the floor for any rocks.

I guess we're still doing this in rounds?

Yep. Waiting on Domingo's action.

Domingo stays where he is and just ready an action I case something jumps out at him

Round 2 - Enemy

The Legion looks around, anticipating where any more of the ants might surface.

Two further ants burst out right beside Davos and attack immediately. One of them has an angry red sheen to its carapace.

The ants emerge from the mounds nearest Davos and though they attack ferociously, neither is able to catch the wizard in their mandibles.

Round 3 - Heroes

Drazhak moves with apparent ease across the rough floor and attacks the Soldier Ant menacing Davos.

Gelbor looks up and sees Davos surrounded runs to aid him. x25

"Get back Davos!"

The mounds are 10ft high so you can't run over them. Because of that the only way you can attack this round Gelbor is by moving to X23 so I put you there. Hope thats ok.

Kennos continues to inspire the others

Kennos aims his bow at the nearest ant and releases the shot but as he does he seems to release a breath of arcane energy that seems to give the arrow more speed

Round 3 - Summary

Despite their aggression, the ants aren't able to successfully hit any of the party.

Drazhak moves with apparent ease across the rough floor and attacks the Soldier Ant menacing Davos. His axe lands solidly but is deflected by the smooth shell of the ant's tought armour.

Gelbor and Domingo land solid strikes on either ant but they remain as viscous as ever while both Kennos and Davos miss with their ranged efforts.

Round 4 - Heroes

Come on guys as a team we can achieve anything for we are legion and that is the last name our enemies will hear before death!
+1 bonus from inspire I am also using arcane strike again
Kennos aims again at the closest ant and fires an arrow again he lets an unnatural breathe loose behind it giving it more speed

Domingo slashes the beast across its dark carapace , his sword biting deeply. Reversing his blade he lunges straight at the bests mouth hoping to skewer it's brain.

Seeing his blow skim harmlessly off the Ant's shell, Drazhak roars a Dearven battlecry and brings his axe down on the beast's head with tremendous force.

Gelbor seeing the bigger red ant with his stinger decides on his target and tries to get in to a better position for an attack.

He then swings out to strike the ant.

Round 4 - Enemy

Domingo slices the head clean off one of the ants, sending ichor spurting into the air.

Drazhak, Davos and Gelbor combine in a furious assault on the soldier ant, sword, axe and spell felling the foe.

And yet the nest still pours forth it's contents. Another 3 ants spill out of the mounds to attack!

The other ant moves up to Kennos but cannot attack this round

Round 5 - Heroes

Domingo flicks his blade, sending the ants thick blood flying off his sword .
He watches as more of the ants burst out of the ground, the closest one biting Draz and he can see his friend trapped by the things sharp mandibles.

dont worry amigo, well get this over grown insect off you Domingo charges toward the beast his blade a silver blur as he attempts to cut the ant in half

With a swirl motion of his hands Davos summons a ball of flame on top of the ant

"Don't worry Draz i've got you!" Gelbor the strikes out in attempt to free the Dwarf.

With two deft strikes Gelbor cuts the ant down.

Drazhak, released by the felled ant gets to his feet and shouts. "thanks lads. Now what next?"
He stands ready for his next opponent.

The party continues its steady progress against the ants, Gelbor cutting down one and Kennos cuffing the other with his sap.

Drazhak moves to attack the ant that threatens Davos. X24

Davos steps away from from ant dodging its attacks and with flick of wrist the flaming sphere is on top of the ant

Seeing Draz freed from the ants clutches he moves behind the ant attacking kennos and slashes the thing from behind
