"We fight."
A determined look washes over Gelbors face as he draws his shorts word and dagger. As he moves to a conner. Av30
Whispering again, he motions to the group.

Davos moves over and helps dom getting draz up. Davos lets a big breath after the climb and is happy manage to complete it without falling.
"Guess we could have company, ready youselfs gentlemen".
Davos removes a scroll of grease from his case
Don Domingo Delagroza
I don't think they will come to us, we need to rush them. It is too cramped in here for them to have any advantage. They must be setting up a trap at the other end!
Gripping his sword more tightly he turns to Davos
Davos I need light I can't see, can you cast another spell? I am going to get down this corridor as quickly as I can. Staying here is a mistake
Drazhak Grimbold
Drazhak grips his axe in his right hand and raises his holy symbol in his sheild hand. He calls on the power of his god and the group feel a wave of warmth and comfort surround them. Cuts and bruises begin to close and fade and aches lessen.

The party rushes on, quickly agreeing that the best defence in their current situation is aggression.
Area B12
The corridor continues for some eighty feet or so before turning abruptly right where it opens out into a larger room, illuminated by a single hooded lantern which sits on the lip of a fountain in the west wall. A small tinkling rill of water runs from a demon-shaped mouth on the wall into the fountain. A bedroll and several bags of rations sit on the floor just to the north of the fountain.

Gelbor shakes his head, just watching them all running off.
Rash decisions like that almost got us killed last time.
He then reluctantly follows them, if the area near him is not too bright he'll attempt to move up stealthy.
Don Domingo Delagroza
Domingo races ahead, his wounds have stopped bleeding and hardly bother him and again, silently he thanks Draz.
Moving into the room he raises his sword ready to meet any threat he finds there.

"I can only cast the spell once im afraid, but ill keep up with you down the corridor."
Davos follows Dom down the corridor to lend him aid
Don Domingo Delagroza
Domingo stands still, his senses alert for any abnormal sound in this strange room.
listen amigos, I can just about make out the sound of running footsteps, they have fled before us. Maybe they have a stronghold deeper inside this place. It may be wise for us to try and scout ahead.
Gelbor Halus
Gelbor slowly walking up behind those that ran off.
"Why not keep running at their trapped and properly defended positions? You seemed to think it was a good idea just then."
He shakes his head and then takes a look around where they currently are.

Domingo listens to gelbors sarcastic remark and sighs as he tries to make the man understand.
Gelbor I think my friend that you don't understand, if we were all stuck in that narrow tunnel and they had prepared this area to receive us, only one of us would have been able to fight them. The rest would have been stuck . So the option to charge in here before they could react to their alarm system was the right choice. Now we have space and can try and move ahead more carefully. Though it could be argued that whoever was in here is here to monitor that tunnel and is now running to warn the others so chasing them down now could indeed still be a good option

Whilst Domingo and Gelbor debate what to do, Drazhak has a look around the small adjacent room, the darkness not an issue to eyes accustomed to being underground.
The eastern wall of this room is buried under an ancient pile of rubble. Sitting near the entrance is a wooden crate and a dull gray amphora. Greek style pottery vase for those not in the know.
No need to update map at this point.
Kennos Slynt
You both make valid points and they were both tactical decisions but fighting by here right now is not so cut it out and get back to work, Gelbor go scout ahead we need your keen scenes, Domingo stand ready we need your skills with your blade
Don Domingo Delagroza
Kennos is right Gelbor, getting into a pissing contest will achieve nothing. We can take things more cautiously , I just didn't want to get bottlenecked in there.
clapping Gelbor on the back he smiles
do your thing my friend lead us forward i will back you up
Davos Bixby
Davos standing looking around to see if there is any markings on the walls from the ancients

Drazhak examines the crate and the vase more closely.

The jar does not seem as ancient as the Crow but still has some age. Although likely brightly decorated, the sheen has faded to a dull gray finish. It’s still an attractive piece and probably worth about 35gp to a collector. However, when you pick it up it jangles with a familiar sound and within you discover 98 ancient Thassilonian coins (worth 500gp in modern currency).
The crate is typical but inside, tucked carefully into a bed of straw is a bronze statuette of a giant, decorated from head to toe in strange runes and wearing full battle regalia. (300gp)
Gelbor explores ahead, careful to stick to the shadows but also not wander far enough so that he can’t see. Shortly he comes to a flight of twisting stairs leading back down into the Crow.
Gelbor Halus
Gelbor moves back to the group, taking his time.
"There is a winding staircase that heads back into the crow, Seems to lead to the lower levels." He checks behind him again as if someone was trying to sneak up on him. "Let's move out together but stay back i'll keep my eye out for traps."
He then moves forward towards the stairs keeping an eye out for any traps.
Perception: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (20) + 8 = 28
Drazhak Grimbold
Drazhak turns to the others. "A rare find indeed gentlemen, I estimate the coins and that statue to be worth about 800 gold. That should fund our future sortees nicely. If we return from this one alive that is!" He adds wryly and chuckles to himself. I wonder where Gelbor has gotten to. I hope he hasn't run into trouble.
He hefts his axe impatiently as he guards the opening to the corridor down which Gelbor disappeared some time ago.

You cautiously make your way down the stairs. Although steep, they only seem to descend to the next level.
The further you go the louder the sounds of snuffling from a room at the base of the stairs. Shortly, the space opens out into a large room with several exits.
The room itself is free from decoration and furnishing and only a pair of large rats (Knowledge Nature), scrabbling around in the dust catch your attention.
That is, until another rat, this time walking on hind legs like a human steps out of the shadows. Another wererat. It takes up position opposite the stairs between the two big rats who look up to it as if begging for treats.
You must have come past a couple of guardposts to get here. Probably killed a few of the Girls too. Yazlenda... she says, striding back and forth. Tellavee.... probably taken their stuff and whatever else you could find as well. I understand that. she says with a shrug, once more taking position in the centre of the room. But even all of that is ok, if you just turn back now. This is the Tower Girls place and we'd be willing to let everything go, if you just; Turn. Back. Now.
She slowly draws her short sword as if to emphasize the point.

"Gentlemen, who would like to respond to our good lady host?" He whispers to them.
Don Domingo Delagroza
Domingo , sheathes his longer sword and draws his silver short sword.
this doesn't have to get ugly, we will offer you the same deal. We cannot leave without the thing we came for. You can leave with a heavy purse or become food for your pets here. We are all armed with silver weapons, you cannot stand before us!
Davos Bixby
"That is a good find, well done"

Looks like we have no way of stopping this now.
"Wait, we're just looking for an artifact. We took care of Natalya after we heard what she did to you. We're here only as friends."
He says holding up his hands in trying to calm them down, he knows this won't work but he hopes to delay them as the other move into the room.

Apologies for the lack of updates this weekend guys, really busy with one thing or another but going to get the wheels rolling again today. One problem, I can’t update the map for this big update until later on.
The party advances into the room, Gelbor and Domingo addressing the wererat each in their own way – one diplomatically, the other more pointed.
The wererat gives a barely perceptible nod of her head and suddenly several Tower Girls step out of the dark pools of shadow in the corner of the room – the jaws of the trap threatening to snap shut!
