Hearing the coming ruckus, Keldor quickly leads the dino-raptor into the corner out of direct line of sight from the door. He then re-casts a Protection from Evil spell upon himself in the hopes it offers some additional protection in the short term.

The Velociraptor still has several minutes to his summons and is unhurt, so best to keep him around for now I think, and ready to pounce.

Hidden from view, Basil rushes towards the sounds, hiding into the corner so nobody accidentaly bumps into her, then reloading the gun and getting ready to fire.

Re: the elemental, it's a creature so it can give me soft cover if it's in more than half the way :3
Also, was it a touch attack? Thawm has Barkskin and Shield up, so only her touch is still at 10...

Basil had intended to fire at the whole group of enemies from the back, but found herself in a less than desirable tactical position.
The enemies had spread out around her, and she had no good angle for fire available.
Also because you can't 5-foot step around corners, which basically traps me here.
The sudden appearance of grease further complicated matters, making it all but impossible to tumble past one of the enemies to get into a better position.
As per moving through an enemies square PLUS avoid grease for movement.
Not seeing a good option, she opts to take advantage of her invisibility. Retrieving the Flash Grenade from her Belt, she sets the primer, hold out her hand and starts counting down, closing her eyes and turning her head moments before letting go of the device.

Reflex: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (10) + 7 = 17
(Dropping it to the field south of me) - now this is an Achilles Paradox. I would like to ready an option to drop it moments before it goes off. But it goes off on my next turn - but a ready action moves my place in initiative. So technically I am doing a ready-action on myself to act before I act. As per indirect actions stuff, I should remain invisible until the moment the Flash Grenade goes off. Also please let me know what circumstance bonus, if any, I will get for being aware of the impending flash and trying to avoid it's effects.


Maybe it goes off at the start of what your initiative was? xD
That'd give something to subtract initiative steps from :3

Oh boy, sorry for the delay. Lost track of this game. Sorry all!

I swear I posted! I even resolved some of the things on roll20.. what happened that caused me to lose it.. weird..

The big L shape is a bar. Since its far enough away it does not provide cover unless you are up against it and on the ground, really.

Based on what I had done before. S2 had fallen but S4 is still up.

The elemental takes down one of the creatures. The Raptor claws into its target.

Remembering even more I wrote up. Damnit lost it all. Anyway. Yes you can have a bonus to not look at it, but you will be considered blind till it goes off. Then again, you are invisible so not a big deal

S4 will reloads his gun and takes a shot at Keldor, but misses.

Admiring the dinosaur's nerve and persistence, Keldor swings again.

Keldor's summoned Raptor rips at the fallen Smiler while the summoner slashes down. Together they kill the Smiler as it tries to stand up.

The Smiler in the hall grunts out "You may kill us, but you can't stop us!" And fires a shot at Keldor.

As the shot goes off, an invisible grenade flashes suddenly. With Basil appearing, covering her eyes as a bright light appears in her hand.

As Basil turns back a moment too early, the Flash Grenade goes off. Immediately her eyes shot down, warnings flashing over the imprinted last image before the flash.
This is not how this was planned.
Attempting to strike at the one to her side, he already moved by the time her attack happens.

Thawm ducks behind her elemental, taking cover from enemy fire. Coincidentally it shields her from the worst of the flash. She focuses on the dinosaur, her prayers helping its claws find their target, as she climbs over the table to hide behind Keldor.

As she hears a shot, Basil reflexively kneels, then extends her leg trying to swipe in the direction she heared the blast from.

Miss Chance: 1d100 ⇒ 36
However, her aim is slightly off and she just slides her leg across the Grease covering the ground.
And yes, that provokes. Basil believes that others must be blinded, too, and for longer :P

The last smiler feels surrounded, just blinking back the blindness. See the his last comrad fall in the other room. He drops his gun and goes down to his knees.

"I give I give. Marrow will just use my body to create more for the cause. My body will live on in undeath to destroy and consume. Do what you wish. But your bodies too will just turn into the decaying undeath and then move to destroy and eat life around you."

Thawm orders her elemental to spare the smiler in Terran.

"Heh. Let him try." Thawm scoffs at the prostrate opponent, then with a magic word the grease on the floor disappears.

Keldor nods and points in the direction the man indicates.

"Undead creations then? That way to the 'rat' and Marrow? Thank you for your helpful words, if not given with kind intent. I'm afraid dinner we are not to be, and I'm also afraid you are not going to be helpful from here on out."

Keldor then proceeds to bind the man's hands, feet, and mouth with Ion Tape and then uses a charge from his 'Zip-Stick' to make him into a well packaged pig ready to be delivered to market.

NOTE: When used to bind a creature, a few strips of activated ion tape require a successful DC 28 Strength check to break. Let me know how many feet did of that I used from my roll of tape?


Since you don't need to wrap it over and over, Lets say to bind fully it just 4 feet. 1.5 feet for the feet and legs, then an extra for the head. Turns them into hand cuffs, basically

She swiftly opens the chambers of her gun and checks all barrels are loaded as she asks.


"We can 'purify' the necromancer instead." Thawm shrugs.
"To death." she adds with a smirk.
"Whatever shambles through these halls won't be a problem for those outside if they're all mindless undead. And they won't bother us either- Well, if their master orders them they might be able to block something..."
Thawm frowns, wondering how much time they should spend dispatching undead when they could be advancing towards Marrow's 'project'.

Taking his sword out again, Keldor leads the way in the direction indicated by the criminal, crooning in Celestial to the dino waiting patiently in the corner...

"Come here pretty one."

...he then turns to answer Basil.

"I don't think it's a 'Hobgoblin' Basil. Marrow? That's just the guy's name I think. Because he's into dead bodies and stuff. Come on, we're here to rescue someone, right? Then let's shake a leg people. Once we stop this 'Marrow' guy I doubt that man could become 'chopped liver' on his own, much less an undead."

As a summoner, my Monster Summoning lasts for 1 minute per level, so the dino should still have some time left (out of 5 minutes) to run down the hallway in front of us looking for enemies as he goes. I suggest we search later unless you guys just want to do so now

Do you suggest to question the truthfulness of the information she provided to us, or confirm my suspicion that her ample bosom distracted you? Also, it is not a 'guy'. Not a 'he'. It's a gal. I don't think your prisoner had any reason to lie about her gender. We need you focused and thinking clearly. Is shaking a leg a euphemism? If you need that assisted sexual release mentioned previously right now, say so, even if the timing is suboptimal."


Thawm stifles a chuckle but not a smirk as she takes the lead in giving the quarters a quick look.
