December 26th Update

As you begin to spread out and look about, you notice the ceiling is a featureless sheet of dark gray glaucite arching above at a height of 50 to 100 feet. The cliffs that line the walls are treacherous—a successful DC 25 Climb check is needed to scale them. On average, the cliffs rise about 50 feet before ending at the domed glaucite roof.

The ceiling itself is softly lit, lighting the room in a dim twighlight. You're able to see, though it gets harder the farther out you look.

As you move forward, there is motion in one of the rock and sandy outcroppings. sinewy boney hands begin to claw out of the ground and the rasping sounds of the undead begin to echo in the large cavern, and you a start to hear even more rasping and unearthing nearby. It is a creature that is unlike you have seen, a skeletal humanoid with four arms. Its eyes glow green for just a moment, before being replaced with red lights.

Roll Initiative! You all get one standard action (or less) as the Kasatha begin to pull themselves out of the earth.

Basil was focused on the enormity of the subterranean cave when the creatures startet moving, and was slow to react. By the time she brought up her gun ready to pull the trigger, the one in front of her had been swarmed by her companions.
On the lookout for other threats, Basil is ready to shoot anything else that approaches.

December 26th Update

Gauntlet throws a glob of acid that seemingly almost melts away one of the skeletons. It still lives, though barely. Basil's grazing shot seem to have a lot of oomph as it knocks a portion of its chest away.

Keldor immeidately turns to one that has pieces of blue clothing of some sort stuck to him, and charges. Just before he reaches his target, he swings back one of Gauntlet's massive metal-looking fists!

December 26th Update

Harg's bite finds a dusty taste as his maw closes with such forces the it dissipates the Kasatha skeleton into fine particles. It occurs to you all that if this structure is as old as they say, there would be no way for any skeleton to survive natural decay.

Gauntlet charges forth and as his fist connects with the Kasatha's form it dissipates violently as a dispersed mist.

The remaining skeletons surge forth, but only one makes it into range to attempt to kill.

Rushing forward past the majority of the group, giving Dirissa a hearty smile and hearty chuckle on the way past, "I will do my best.. Would you rather bite these ashy things?"

December 26th Update

Gauntlet steps forward and takes out another skeleton before it can react.

Kell brings his mystic arts to bear, but the shot is dodged, the Kasatha moving in a surprising burst of speed as it threads through the attack.

Basil is quick to prepare another volley while Dirissa picks up the ranged role and slings rocks at the enemy, striking one and creating a sizable crack in its frame.

Harg with his mighty strength turns one skeleton to ash as his arcane blade sweeps through a skeleton, dispersing it.

Tathaniise finding a burst of speed, drops low and dashes striking one skeleton before adjusting her path and taking out the second one, in quick succession.

With one left, I'm gonna to assume you folks kill it no sweat. Though I wouldn't get used to easy encounters...

The dust settles as the enemies have been defeated. But with their graveyard disturbed, how long will they rest before they surface once more?

December 26th Update

Harg and Keldor approach what seem to be caves, and utilizing their darkvision they can even peer inside somewhat. The caves themselves still feature old remnants of crude palates, tools, and weapons left behind by a primitive hunter-gatherer society, and here and there, cave paintings on the walls depict four-armed humanoids in various acts of hunting strange desert creatures.

Basil does a perimeter check, but for now it seems the danger has passed.

Tathaniise moves to the south to see if there's a way out. A crisp glow of light shines from the northern wall of this cavern, although no obvious source of the light is apparent.

Cave paintings seem primitive, yet they have a skymetal corridor locking off this subterranean biome?", Basil ponders, then turns to Kell: "If your expertise can provide any clues to this puzzle, I would be intrigued to hear them.", then, still looking at Kell, falls in line behind Keldor and Harg: "Either way, I saw no other paths to move forward bypassing this place. If the lost expedition passed through here, they likely were attacked as well. If so, our opponents demise could be temporary. We'd best be on our guard and act swiftly. I am ready to keep moving!"

I believe I'm the only one without darkvision. I don't mind carrying a sunrod or a torch or just having someone cast "light" on my shield or brooch. It may make me a target, but that's okay

December 26th Update

Several strange shell fragments and bits of bone lie scattered across the floor of this large chamber. Ancient cave paintings of four- armed humanoids and strange animals decorate the walls—but to the south, a particularly unusual depiction that looks like an oblong shape burning in the sky above several kneeling four-armed figures dominates the prehistoric decor.

You all begin to move to the back, when suddenly two tentacles seemingly lash out of nowhere!

Tentacle ATtack: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (8) + 3 = 11 Damage: 1d6 + 3 ⇒ (6) + 3 = 9
Tentacle ATtack: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (3) + 3 = 6 Damage: 1d6 + 3 ⇒ (4) + 3 = 7

As these tentacles retract, a large globule of murky, viscous fluid (area marked). Those in the area are snared for one round, Strength DC 20 to break free.
