Would you guys be averse to a mythic reward for finishing this adventure?
Well it would make sense, but most mythic stuff seems silly to me. Though I trust you to not let it get out of control.
Right now, I would be happy with surviving this adventure.
I'll try to do a more detailed post later in the day describing our actions (and if someone objects to some detail hopefully they'll point it out promptly). Probably nothing too elaborate, but it probably makes sense to do so. Sorry I couldn't post it earlier -- my folks are visiting and that took up all my extra time this weekend and yesterday (which I took off work).

I know very little about the mythic rules, but it might be fun to check them out this way. I do like your approach of rewards for achievements.

I think we were about to enter the pyramid, and were discussing whether the communication rings would work properly.
Yae, and thou didst enter the pyramid of spookiness, and thusly encountered the panorama of many, wailing souls. Thou didst experience their deaths in their haunting wails and visions. Thine sanity didst not anticipate verily the sucker punch that followed.
The remainder of the party evacuated your character and Drovya (whom suffered the same fate) and dragged him back to a rope trick after using some charm magic and diplomacy thereabouts.
Hanethes didn't get any specific spoilers because you weren't present, but suffice to say Hanethes is not himself right now unless he rolls act normally on the confusion table. And even then, it's just a few seconds of lucidity between reality and horrible waking nightmares.
Okay, so I am still insane... Good to know. :P
That confusion effect is one of the most powerful in the game. It's ended quite a few campaigns.

Haka can't really cast anything other than what's on his list - but he can cast anything that's on his list multiple times, if there's a need.
But he doesn't really go in for travelling spells. If there's a need for him to travel with a hound archon once we get back to the right plane, he's game, and will figure out how to get you guys to town one way or another. He knows a guy with some nice camels...
I figured as much. Drovya is the other one will spell flexibility, but he isn't much help right now... Worst case we can travel by traditional means; it would just take awhile. It may make sense to send Haka ahead with the hound archon and maybe Haka can come and get us (we'll have to make sure he has a way to find us if we're moving).
Yeah, if Haka and the Hound Archon can get to Katapesh and back with some Meditation Tea, and the Heal Scrolls, Drovya can contribute quite a bit to getting us all to Katapesh with multiple castings of mount.
Well, I'm sure Talon will appreciate the multiple mountings.

Okay, trip-planning time!
We're 80 miles from Katapesh. Our swan-boat (which is awesome, btw, Mr. Hair) lasts one day. Kanth's character sheet suggests he's got another one, so we could transfer to it just before the first one sinks, provided his record-keeping is up to date.
Per the overland travel rules, a sailing ship, which I'd think is roughly analogous to the swan-boat, goes 48 miles a day. So, as long as we stay clear of the Black Djinni of the Isle, we should make it no problem.
So, who's up for exploring the island a bit? ;)

Yeah, it seems hard to justify spending much time exploring the island right now if we're in range for all of us to return to Katapesh. And we'd want Drovya and Han to be in control of their faculties. Considering the fact that we'd probably all like to get back to Katapesh for re-equipping and we all need to get to Katapesh to return to Abaddon, it seems silly to send Haka ahead with a hound archon. It is a little hard to figure out how we then return to the island, though, since once we're in Katapesh it would be hard to justify not heading straight back to Abaddon. Of course, one never wants to entirely ignore a neat side adventure presented by the GM, but maybe this is really incidental?
You owe it to the trajectory of the plane shift. Nothing else. However, if you want to come back later, that's doable. However, I think I'm just going to push you forward with a two-day voyage.
My little emoticon was intended to convey that I didn't actually mean the suggestion seriously. Han and Drovya's particular mental crises aside, I'm not sure exploring The Island of No Return would be the most expeditious way to complete our mission.
But perhaps someone, or some few, of us will decide we must return to the island one day (i.e., return to the neat side adventure).
Well, the Island of Black Palms is basically a large, extraplanar prison according to the ISWG, so it could conceivably factor into our adventures some time in the future. Also, thanks to all for going out of your way to return Drovya and Han to sanity, or at least a reasonable facsimile thereof.
No, that's not the island of black palms, but the island it stems from.Here. It says it's a separate island, but the map barely shuts it off. I imagine them being separated from the wall.
Well we have no IC reason for exploring it, other than curiosity. We still have a soul to save afterall. But we could go back after we're done. And anytime you need me to knock the crazy out of you, I am more than happy to. :)
