Alternately, Rohini could cast shield of faith on ONE of Drovya or Talon, and then remove fear on both (+4 morale bonus to fear effects). Or, she could cast shield of faith on ONE of Drovya or Talon, and SAVE TWO castings of remove fear to remove fear effects in the event of failed saves, although she would need to be able to catch the afflicted character to do so. She can also remove fear effects once by casting calm emotions.
I think we've probably got enough pre-buffing (can't believe I'm actually saying that.) Anyway, if Talon wants the Bull's Strength as well, it's his. I think it will end up being just a plus 2 though because he's already got a +2 strength belt.

Drovya, when you say we have enough buffing, do you mean you think Rohini shouldn't cast prayer, aid, and shield of faith, or do you just mean she shouldn't cast remove fear? I want to be clear on what Rohini is casting.
Why does Talon's STR belt diminish the bonus from bull's strength? Shouldn't they stack?
The belt and spell won't stack because they're both enhancement bonuses. The prot evil and shield of faith have quite a bit of overlap as well (deflection bonuses) and the resistance bonuses won't stack with cloaks of resistance, although the +2 is certainly better than the +1 most of us have.
I think the Aid and Prayer are definitely good, but I don't think Hags have much in the way of Fear based attacks, so I'm not sure what the remove fear is for, unless we're saying that Trout's description that she exhudes fear made Hanethes fearful, not that the Hag herself is fearful, which is how I read it, although I could very well be wrong.
Ok, so no shield of faith (unless Talon wants it) and I guess Talon will decide about bull's strength. I understood Hanethes to say that the hag had an aura of fear about her -- not just that she made him afraid. But I've got the remove fear spells available in case anyone comes running out in panic.

Do the +2 attack and +2 AC bonuses of blessing of fervor stack with the +1 luck bonus to attack from prayer? I think so. I think it still makes sense for Rohini to cast blessing of fervor because the PCs can select the +2 bonuses, and that still better than the +1 from haste. And then Rohini can add on with prayer next round...

Unless I'm mistaken, I don't think the party can gain the benefit of haste and blessing of fervor at the same time. Also, I think if Rohini casts prayer that will make her visible because it gives opponents a -1 on attacks. Right? So I guess Rohini could run up and give someone a bit of luck for next round, or summon monster 3 (but what to summon?), or play her flute. I'm sure she'll have plenty else to do (healing) shortly...
Yes, I think prayer would make you visible. I should have cast Greater Invisibility!

Well we can benefit from both, it's just we can't get a free attack from both spells. We can take the free +2AT/AC from Fervor and still get a haste attack. Prayer is iffy so I would save it. I think we're buffed enough anyhow. Just hang back and be ready to heal just in case.

Talon's got it right. BoF is actually a really nice boost to us casters and martials alike, and while it doesn't stack with haste, it actually complements it quite nicely and wont break Ro's invisibility.
The description says both "These effects are not cumulative with similar effects, such as those provided by haste or a speed weapon,..." and then there is a final sentence, "Blessing of fervor does not stack with haste." So that made me think you can't have both effective at the same time, even if you're choosing a different buff from the BOF. Your ruling, Trout?

- I agree that if it takes that long we should not pause now to consult the ring.
- Talon, isn't your cloak of resistance +2 redundant in light of protection from evil (which Rohini can renew as necessary)? Seems like the cloak of displacement would be pretty great for you or Hanethes (who has a +3 protection cloak).
Well the thing is, if we're caught by something before you can cast it or between castings since it's only minutes/level I'm kinda hosed. And I have probably the worst saves in the group.
Ah, if that's the sticky wicket, why don't you take the cloak of displacement and the hag's heartstone? It'll give you a +2 resistance bonus to saves until the magic runs out in 24 hours, and hopefully we'll be gone by then. Drovya could hang onto Talon's cloak then, also getting a boost to saves, and we should all be in good shape.
That sounds like a good idea. Okay, we just need to keep killing hags so we can get their heartstones. NBD right?

Sounds like it's resolved. By the way, Rohini can recast communal protection from evil using a pearl of power or, perhaps even better at this point, cast from her PvE wand. When she cast communal protection from evil she could give 1 minute protection to each of us, and 2 minutes to 2 people (probably Talon and Drovya).
Has about one minute passed? If so, Rohini will use four charges from her wand to give Protection from Evil to those who didn't get the 2 minutes originally. I'm assuming we're spending enough time gathering soulstones such that the blessing of fervor and haste rounds will run out before we continue.
If two minutes have passed, she'll use 6 charges from the wand to renew for everyone.

Just to let you all know, I may be out of commission for a week or so as I am currently suffering from extreme pain (due to impacted decaying wisdom teeth, joy), and am unable to concentrate on anything until I get rid of them (which will hopefully be a short time from now).
I've gone through the last of a prescription strength pain-reliever and am now only surviving thanks to binural/isochronic beats CD I happen to have for pain. Here's hoping for a Wednesday extraction.
