"The town and surounding area has been harassed by a group of trolls and you were considering fighting them off yoursfelf before someone had the idea to call us for elimation of the threat. I also know that you made the right choice in sending for us, and I know that we will be successful"
"Close. Not exactly us, moreso foolish "heroes" charging in where no man should. There is a cave on the mountain, down a now rather unused path- they hide in there."
"That's useful information, saves us time in tracking them down. Do you have have an estimation of their numbers or strength?"
There's a crunching sound from underneath a table.
"Now you don't."
Growly steps out from under the table and sits on the floor, wagging his tail.
"I... Uh, alright. Anyway, I think I know someone who might know better on this subject. I'll go see if I can get them. You stay here, if you don't mind."
the man leaves, and speaks to another person in the town, who heads off to find someone named levent, and tell them there are torchbearers in one of the houses at the enterance to town.
Levent sighs, wondering what green horns had been sent here to help him now. He hoped they lasted long enough to kill one troll. Murmuring to Makani, he heads to house and knocks.
"This where the TB's are?" He calls out.
"Okie dokie."
Growly looks up and smiles to the rest of the group.
"He seems nice."
the man opens the door, and jestures to the people within.
Ponders what a TB is for a moment, them uncharacteristically grins when he figures it out, if only briefly.
"So you are the back up TB central sent to deal with the trolls?" The cat murmurs as he looks over the group. "okay, I'll admit I'm a bit impressed. The little guy will help a lot if he's the kind of dragon I think he is. What's everyone bring to the fun, eh?"
Marco manafests his armor over his body in the juggernaut form "tenacity. The trolls are only marginally more durable than I am, and I'm smarter by a long shot, I'm also much faster than most other Mers, my weapon is also espically effective against trolls"
"I like to help."
He hops and glides, landing on Marco's head.
"I can melt stuff, and I can play music that will keep everybody on step."
The little dragon seems to be all smiles.
"I stalk and kill things."
the man sits back as people make introductions.
"So we've got someone who might hold his own against a troll, a source of fire that comes with teeth and claws, and a hunter. I think I can work with that."
"Have you fought with them already? Do you know where they lair?"
Growly shakes his head.
"I don't make fire. I make melty stuff."
Marco raises one finger "acid not fire but it'll work the same for us here, what is it that you do?"
"In order, I have fought them and know there is at least three. That's the main problem. One catfolk can only do so much a trangshi and a handful of villagers with pitchforks can do."
"I apologize, little dragon. Either way though, it burns. You'll be incredibly useful, and your songs can help with morale. It's low, what with all the dying."
"I'm a xurdin. A mage-knight. My focus on Lightning was better suited for my original mission, but I can't leave the villagers alone against these creatures, even if my mission is already done."
"Then lets go kill them."
"Did you not hear me say there are at least three of the beats? We need more of a plan that 'kill them' if we want to live to tell about their demise."
He stares blankly for a moment.
"Then let us plan, and go kill them."
"I brought with me a tangleburn bag, and we all brought a variety of other alchemical fire and acid weaponry"
Growly sits in on the meeting, but isn't a tactician by any means.
When all is silent in the request for a plan for a minute or so, Marco speaks up and gives a solid, though fairly basic plan"Fine, tactics, growly, you start off the fight with a spew of acid, hitting as many as possible while staying out of their reach, I will cloak myself in acid and then close with them and try to keep them away from you guys, Zhardon, you set them on fire with the oil, and/or the alchemical fire, then back me up with your own powers and weaponry, just be sure to keep a safe distance from my acid, and... Uh, I'm sorry I don't believe I caught your name , that or I simply have forgotten," he says for the catfolk to give his name to which the mer says "Marco, pleasure to meet you I'm sure, anyway, you back me up with whatever magic you have or your sword whichever you feel would be most effective, growly, in between when times when you have more acid, use your teath, performance, healing or alchemical weaponry at your discression. We'll try to take them on one at a time but if that's not possible we'll try to make due when we spot what appears to be the boss, I'll use the tangle burn bag, if at any time you are fighting an opponent that is not on fire, try to fix that as soon as possible, is everyone ok with this and understand their roll"
"That's a decent amount of planning in a short time, and seems solid enough to work. My name is Levent Coretin, though some end up calling me Lee."
Nods.
"Simple enough. That is a plan?"
"it is in fact a plan, and though I may be biased, I 'd say it's a fairly solid and straightforward plan, if there are no objections let us be off, I tire of waiting
"Let's go then. I'm bored..."
Growly rolls onto his back on the table they've been planning around.
"Bunch of green TBs.. Okay, if everyone is ready, let's get a move on. The longer we wait the more likely the trolls are too Attack. I can lead us to the area we think the trolls are in."
"sounds like a plan, let's go
as everyone heads down a side trail on the mountain, they eventually come across a cave that the trolls (presumably) reside in. Noses can be heard inside, loud, sloppy eating, mainly.
Levent motions for everyone to be quiet and back away with him. If anyone follows, he takes scrolls from his pack.
"I've got a few scrolls here of spells we might find useful. One makes you run faster, two cloak you in solid air that forms armor, two make you invisible for a few seconds, and three sap the strength of the target. Who can use them besides me? If they can be useful, we should use them to our advantage."
"That's a lot of scrolls, I think growly uses that kind of magic, my kind uses gems when storing the energy of a power for later use, so then, I was thinking, either we need to sneak in there makeing no noise, or we need to draw them out and ambush them out here... Personally I'm partial to drawing them out, because I'm rather large and not very stealthy"
"I can use them, but maybe we should just get them to come out instead. I can sit just outside the edge and call in like I'm lost. With you guys over there and there to get them."
He points to the sides of the cave entrance where he'd expect them to hide while he draws to things out.
"Good idea, hopefully only one will show up at first, but we need to be prepared for the possability that more come to answer your call, the rest of us should get a hit or two in from the suprise, remember if they aren't on fire or hit with acid, then they will heal, if you aren't using fire or acid then concentrate your attacks on one troll at a time, does everybody got this? Then get into position"
Moves into position to cover Growly, and to flank whatever emerges.
Once everyone is in position, Growly calls into the cave.
"Hello. Is anyone in there? I'm lost and cold..."
Once any of the green things step out, he shakes his butt towards the cave and sticks his tongue out as he glides away from the cave, leading it forward.
"Mnya. Try to get me!"
no such green thing pops out. Instead, a huge, fluffy white humanoid, still gnawing soem unknown meat in it's teeth, starts wandring towrds the noise. Upon seeing a tiny, not-much-meat lizard, it pauses and considers. It stands there, thinking, as it makes a horrid smacking noise as it chews.

Marco whispers "frost troll, it's even more vulnerable to fire than most trolls, and not quite as strong as a standard troll, tad smarter though" before manafesting corosive aura and moving to confront the troll
"Stop talking about it and just kill it!" [i]Leven shouts as he draws his black blade and runs around the beast to get a different path of attack.
Steps up to a flanking position, and attacks, mindblades appearing in his hands along the way...
