the owlbear takes a slash on the Side, and another again, while the dragon bites at his leg before flying away, leaving acid on his leg, and a snowball strikes him from the side, the assault continuing from all sides.
Marco clutches at his wooded arm as the creature flees, not in the state to be able to close with it he concentrates manedesting a shard of crystalin energy
the attack harmlessly scrapes off the creatrue's flesh the creature releases you from your grapple, bites at you, then reels around to zahadran as you fall, clawing at him.
Vs zahadran
Zhadron takes the assault and seemingly is almost gone (-1 hp)...then burst of psionic energy renews him, as the wounds heal almost as soon as they are made...
He then takes a defensive stance, and steps back five feet.
The small dragon will not get close to the beast, nor can it use its breath attack so soon again, so it fumbles around and finds the one knife it has, getting just close enough to throw it.
the owlbear gets a knife in it's back, rather startled by the hit. Everyone can see some town guard approaching. About time...
finally they're here just gotta hold out a little bit longer the armored Mer focuses on e again on his armor forcing it to bud off a large chunk of green rock and flings it off at the creature unfortunately his distraction at the guards arrival throws off his aim and he only manages to cut off some of the creatur's hair
Victor forms another ball of snow and hurls it at the owlbear
the owlbear reels at the cold, a degree of frostbite setting in. He turns to the Mage and charges him, biting deep into his flesh.
The dragon panics, mostly out of projectiles.
It pulls a fist full of copper coins from a pouch on his strap.
"I'm sorry. I'll be back for you."
It kisses the wad of coins and throws it at the bear thing.
*thump*. The bag of coins smacks the creature, to little effect. Arrows start flying at the creature, fired from the town guard, approaching quickly. A few land in the beast, causing it to change course and go after the the archers.
Marco remains unconscious.
The little dragon panics, now being totally out of options.
[Ooc]Breath weapon isn't back until next round...[/dice]
He does nothing.
Will hesitate for a second...then decides to run out and grab Marco, dragging him safely away from the rampaging owlbear.

eventually the beast is taken down by the town guard. A member of the town guard thanks you for your bravery in dealing with the threat, saying that there would have been much more lost if it wasn't for you.
The dragon immediately runs and picks up its dagger and coins, flying back from the monster as quick as it can, despite being told it was dead.
He approaches Marco and Zhadron.
"I can help carry him back to the guild. We might get someone to help there. I'm stronger than I look."
Nods at the dragon's offer, and allows him to help.
so, eventually everyone returns to the guild, and it's empty recruitment room, just in time to catch the last applicant walking out. The door to the back rooms where the recruitment process is held is still open.
"Martin! Martin where are you?! This scaly guy is hurt! Martin!"
He looks around the entry way to see if he could find one of the better known healers.
"Ah? Oh dear."
a pale lady with faintly glowing purple eyes comes in.
"Martian's out, but I can help."
she pulls his torso up a little, and pries open an eye briefly and looking into it, before coming her hand in white light.
she grumbles when he barley reacts, and tries again.
"There."
The serpant groans as the second cure spell hits him did we kill the thing? Is the town safe? Or am I dead?" He gets up groaning "nope, not dead, hurt too much for heaven, but not quite enough for hell"
"Thanks Carla."
This is what he calls her whether this is her name or not. If can't remember someone's name or simply doesn't know it, he tends to just give them one.
"They haven't closed auditions yet. Is everyone else not dead? Gotta do that. Waited over a year and stupid bear thing won't stop me now..."
He's moving towards the door as he talks.
"Everyone else already completed their interviews for recruitment. I don't think it's even running anymore, the last one that came out just left the door open, probably. That said, there's no harm in trying."
The warrior gets up completely groaning slightly looks the healer in the eyes and firmly repeats his question are the people safe? did anyone get hurt? Did we win?
"What? What are you talking about?"
"The giant owlbear we left to stop it... Is it dead"
"I have no idea. I've been in the back the whole time."
"Fine, do you know anyone who might know?"
"Aside from those who drug you in?"
"Town guard dispatched the beast."
"No no no no no no..."
He rushes into the room and skids to a halt.
"Please let me do an interview. We had to go stop the bear thingy from hurting people..."
He speaks quickly.
the person running the recruitment is the leader of the torch bearers himself- Eagun. This large, intimidating merfolk wears standard torchbearer garb, has eyes that glow a bright purple, and his tail scales are black as night. He's almost never seen or spoken to. He's butting away files when "growly" barges in.
"Hmm? Ah. No. You needn't apply."
"But... I've been here for almost a year already. I want to take jobs and wear the badge and earn my stay like everyone else..."
He says, crestfallen.
the man chuckles.
"And you risked that to go help people. No, you needn't apply because I already wrote you in."
"Please just give me a- wait, you what now?"
He breaks from the dramatic performance he was giving when his brain catches up with his mouth.
"You go charging off, risking your potential career to help some people when the town guard could have probably solved the problem. Of course ill let you In."
The warrior nods "good, you say that the interviews are through that door yes?"
"Oh... thank you... but, uh... what about the other people that helped?"
He glances towards the door.
"Them too, if they want it."
Walks back to the interview room...
"Yes, please." is all he says at the offer.
"Of course. Were there more with you?"
