My apologies for the tardiness of my post...I'm an Assistant Principal at an Elementary School and we had a serious issue this morning that has been taking up a huge chunk of my day.

I hope this little home invasion is a good idea! Its more aggressive than Silas's usual MO but it *does* seem like House Almir is in leage with cheliax based on what we've seen. Obviously we need proof. Of course if the troops are just mercenaries then that puts a different spin on things, still I rather doubt that is the case.
Edit other thing that occurs to me is that Silas might be able to talk the lord into incriminating himself but that would be boring for the rest of the party.

But it'd be a laugh if he'd do so.

Not until now. Having enjoyed DA games, sounds like a plus.
You're thinking of buying it?
Encounter Map
I'm almost certainly going to buy it.

The only d&d sort of pc games i've played were Baldur's Gate shadows of amn and planescape torment.
But now that you've mentioned this, i'm definitely having a look at it.

Those are both awesome games. If anyone hasn't played Baldurs Gate 2, then go and buy it from http://gog.com it's aged very well. :)

Age isn't everything, some older games can provide just as much (or more) captivity storywise as/than more recent releases. It's more the graphics and options that were, and ever will be, advancing.

You know, I begin to think Blind Fighting is almost a must have Feat for at least half the adventures out there

It really depends how they're run. Plus, there are a bunch of races that have darkvision, and a spell for it too.
Also, I just got caught up with the gameplay thread after not having a chance to read it since November. It seems that our plans to shove out the consortium backfired on us a bit. But with any luck you'll be able to make some lemonade out of that fat lemon. Here's hoping that the senator or whatever keeps up his end.
In other news, I pulled my best real-life Michael impression and broke my own arm in a swordfight. Swung so hard and fast that I generated enough torque to give my humerus a 5 inch torsion fracture without even making any contact. Sadly, unlike Michael, I couldn't be put back together with a wave of a wand. Instead I got a steel plate, 10 screws, my tricep cut in half, and (hopefully temporary)partial paralysis below the elbow. Oh, and this happened 3 days before Christmas, so I gave myself one hell of a present.

Ouch man, how'd you end up in a sword fight leaving you in that state?
Medieval re-enactment?
Get well man :/
M Human Cavalier(Honor Guard) 4
Eh, it'll go as fast as it goes. I've got full range of motion in my elbow, just my forearm and wrist are kinda screwed for now. Doctors expect it to all come back, but it could take anywhere from 6 months to 2 years. It all depends on how long it takes the nerve to repair itself. In the last month I've gone from not being able to move my wrist at all and having limited finger movement to having almost full finger movement and the ability to raise my wrist to level with my forearm. So I'm hopeful for the 6 month side of things.

I did it at my weekly practice. I was fighting 2 cops and a marine at the time. They all do it too, but it sounds cooler if I don't mention that until later.
SCA heavy combat is the name of the specific activity. I mentioned it here before, either a bit before or a bit after I backed out of the game. I even posted a picture of my shield, because it's what I wanted to use as the banner for Michael's fortress and troops.

Ah, had to google that.
It reminds me of something similar, but not so extreme.
I went to Whales with my folks and brother years ago, back then they were doing this medieval re-enactment festival. Including a mock combat between a guy with a sword and one with a flail, the flail was blunt and only had the oval bums, but it bypassed the swordman's shield and hit him square on the back.
M Human Cavalier(Honor Guard) 4
There's all sorts of things similar to the SCA throughout the world, especially throughout Europe. The SCA is just one of the bigger ones that I'm aware of, and it spans the globe. Though it's most popular in the US and Canada from what I've seen. Probably because it started in California in the 60's.

These invis rulings are beginning to annoy me, not because of you guys but because of the vague nature of the spell. I'm tempted to say that invis is canceled by anything other than movement 50% of the time. So ANY action other than movement has a 50% chance to break invis....that seems fair right? It might mean you can get a few attacks in if you get lucky.

I don't like that for the very selfish reason that Jaxom uses invisibility to hide where he is when he casts his summoning spells.
Male Varisian Bard 8 | HP 54 | AC 22(27/17/25) (15t 20ff)| +5(7) fort +10(13) ref +7(9) will | +8 init +10 perc | Resource Tracker
The obscuring mist is a double edged sword. Still having the mage blast us from range seemed to be inviting disaster.
We need to flush the mage out from stealth now. Glitter dust is not the best spell for that unless we know exactly where he is (we don't). Any ideas?
Male retired & married fighter Fighter 8 HP 82/82 F+10/R+6/W+4 30ft AC24/14/22
Jaxom stealthily sneaks around and grapples him. We proceed to do our routine.

Joking aside, Grapple is actually a great way of shutting down casters. Hecktor will be much better at that than Jaxom however :)
Male retired & married fighter Fighter 8 HP 82/82 F+10/R+6/W+4 30ft AC24/14/22
Truth to that....we can hope it works, since my armor's penalty for trying to stealth is -6.
Oracle of Wood 8
You don't have to Stealth to grapple him Hecktor. Also are we able to see the mist dissipate as the guy moves through it?

Actually if he did surrender that might be interesting plot wise. KO him, stuff him in the bag of holding and spirit him over the wall and into the hands of the army.
Of course he may have other ideas...
Male retired & married fighter Fighter 8 HP 82/82 F+10/R+6/W+4 30ft AC24/14/22
Well i'm guessing he'd be a lvl, what, 8 wizard/sorcerer?
Somehow this guy doesn't strike me as very compliant, just that's just me, since he didn't even bother talking and just fired that ray at Gilmork.

He is a level 8 sorceror yes. He is also LN if you care to know (Luc could figure it out with his holy man sight), AND to be fair you guys were intruders in his home.
Male retired & married fighter Fighter 8 HP 82/82 F+10/R+6/W+4 30ft AC24/14/22
Details.....normally people'd yell to get out or face punishment. :)
As far as Hecktor knows, people associating with devils were LE, LE like the gavel or corrupt politicians.

I want to take him alive, as a prisoner of war. If it turns out we where wrong and he's innocent, he gets to keep his head and sue the Andorran government.
If he's guilty, well somebody else can stretch his neck.

Still, even by base hp he should have more hp than i just hit him for.
Not by much though, but then there's the FCB & con bonus.

The Gavel is Neutral Evil.
I won't keep alignments from you guys, Luc has had many chances to study most folk in the game and I assume he checks them when he sees them.
So if you have Alignment questions let me know.

Sure, but i reckon he'd want to move away asap from an inquisitor, a nimble bard and a fullplate scythe wielder.
