Hello all, and welcome to my Gallows of Madness game! At the moment, I'm only planning on doing the module "Foul Breed" but I'm willing to revisit this later.
So who are you, and what are you bringing to my table? Got any quirks? Fun things that I should know?

Some things to know about me. I usually like games to flow with around 2-3 posts per day. I know that we have a bunch of people in this game who won't be able to post from work. If that's the case with you, if you could check in before and after work, that would be great! We'll find a pace that works for the whole group before long.
I'm also the Venture Lieutenant of Play-by-Post, which means sometimes I get distracted by VL stuff (cranky-pants crises, PBP Gameday administration, support deadlines...) If I find myself embroiled in something I'll let you know!
I am a roleplay and story-oriented GM. I love building off what you guys give me, and I want to encourage you to have crazy interplay with each other as you go through this adventure.

I'm hoping that botting won't be needed, but I still want everyone to have a 'bot me' spoiler in their profile with key strategies and pre-formatted dice rolls.
I'm especially hoping that we all have fun. I want enthusiasm, silliness, sound effects, team chemistry... If you want that too, I think we'll have a great game together.

I'll work on an in-character introduction, but Zakhar is a member of the Pharasmin Penitence sect that is somewhat popular in Ustalav. He distrusts those who would alter the world to satisfy mere mortal whims, namely arcane casters, and he himself eschews most pleasures in this world hoping to be rewarded in the afterlife.
He joined the society after tracking a particularly elusive cultist of Zura to Absalom. He has no idea the dhampir cabalist is disguising himself as Zakhar's fellow Pathfinder, Basil Knightly, or that both are identities of the noble Vasile Atieno. Zakhar won't give up the search, though he is willing to make detours to contain powerful magics and destroy the likes of demons and vampires.

Howdy folks! I'm looking forward to meeting all of you and your characters for what should be a fun game. Thank you Hmm for running it :)
My fun little gnome cavalier, Braggett, sees himself as the most chivalrous knight in all the land (despite owning no land or title) and boasts about his achievements constantly, shamelessly embellishing the details. He may even boldly claim to have taken on a group of bandits single-handedly to the faces of the people who fought beside him. He also likes to sing Taldan opera whenever the opportunity presents itself, despite being tone-deaf and an absolutely terrible singer.
Mechanically, he's a front line fighter with a couple of minor support abilities.
Welcome KoA and Marty!! I am excited to see both of you. I'm hoping that we'll see posts from the other players soon.

'Ello everyone, I'll be bringing my Bloodrager here, Wetbeard the Pirate! I'll probably wait until the gameplay tab opens up and expand on appearance and personality in character, but he's a frontline fighter for sure.
Now I just need to afford armor...
Also, Fizzle. Nice exchange with Rögna in the lodge, it was fun!
I have to admit that your concept for Rögna and Izabelle was so interesting that it made me curious about you as a player. That was why you got one of my new player slots. Well, that and you asked a lot of good questions, which indicated a high level of potential engagement. We also have two other players brand new to PBP in here, Linda and Dean. I'm hoping they can find time this weekend to pop in and introduce themselves.
Linda... Dean... Do either of you need any help formatting your characters for PBP? If you have your characters in Hero Lab, you can export the statblock to BB Code and copy / paste your sheets right into the 'about' field of your character profile.
If you don't have HeroLab, I also have a PFS PbP character sheet template on google docs that you can use. Make your own copy, edit it with your own information, and copy / paste.
Our final player, Eric Collins, should be showing up by Monday or before.

Hey Hmm (and anyone else I suppose) my character sheet is finally properly finished and squared away. As I haven't actually run a PbP yet, I'm not sure if all of my information is there.

This the trio of mini-modules thingie? We'll make you reconsider! (hopefully not reconsider even doing the 1st one with us!).
Tell me about your characters
So who are you, and what are you bringing to my table? Got any quirks? Fun things that I should know?
Prince is a Grippli, from Sargava, the son of a tribal leader, who thus wore a little princely crown. One day while he was in the marshes, a human female "attacked" him to kiss him... and drowned. She was an Aspis agent under a spell from the Pathfinders she was fighting. Dying in anger, she inhabited Prince's body, and he left w. the Pathfinders who wanted to help him sort this out.
So, Prince the Pathfinder is a slow-witted, ugly, frog, inhabited by the Angry spirit of an Aspis agent who hates his batrachian guts... but Prince is learning how to manage her, and keeps her in ectoplasmic form (he is afraid to have her enter his mind, and in ethereal form he cannot see where she is!).
Prince has a long tongue... and likes to lick people, to heal them up, or use Pharasma's negative energy on them.
[note] I will do the Bot Me stuff as I go, because it's a nightmare class (pet w. 3 forms, Prince has no weapon attacks etc.).

I have never played Prince (only DM credit) and took a long time to figure out what fun thing to do with the Grippli... until I thought of the Prince and the Princess and the kiss etc., so I will probably develop the RP as we go, define things better (sorry for inconsistent things etc.).

Save yourself and me a lot of heartache and confusion. Create a separate identity for your princess phantom! You have less than ten posts so you can even change the avatar's name if you want! Out of curiosity, have you thought about the Exchange? You could get a Trade Prince Vanity eventually and become a Prince in truth!

Poor lady... she was a rising star in the Aspis Consortium, then rolled a 1 on her save and look at how she ended up!
(it was the greenest furioustist icon I could find!)
Okay... I moved all the info' from Prince to Princess, and updated both.
Over the next weeks or whatever I'll try to put info' up on other forms if I ever use them (Ethereal, and putting the Phantom in Prince's mind etc.).

Castiel is a orphan, left at the Dwarven Tar-Kazmukh stronghold near a gatehouse with nothing but the cloths on his back and a very old sword. Soon after his adopted family died during a battle with Duergar, he set off in search of his heritage, origin of the sword and why he has a silvery sheen to his skin.
About Me
Very new to this flavor of playing so any and all advice is very welcome and appreciated.
Some Expectations
I will probably partake in the adventure after firefighting here at Paizo… Hope that’s ok… This is also my first stab at playing a pally for several years so it may take a little time to carve out Castiel’s personality.. It will probably be a bit different then what is expected since I’ve played other characters with berserker tendencies in the past.

Welcome to the wonderful world of PbP, Dean!
Not sure I have any advice to give, I don't think PbP is too dissimilar to the regular flavor. One neat thing, though, is the ability to really get into your character and even express their inner monologue with italic thought bubbles if the mood takes you. PbP is at its most fun when everyone really plays to their characters and interact with each other, most of the technical stuff like combats are almost secondary... At least to me ;)
The most important bit of advice is the same as always. Have fun!

Castiel, I was going to ask you to add a header to your character, but I think that your "Director of Technology" title is just going to supplant it, isn't it? Because I should be seeing your Race and Class Information and I'm not. (The downside of being a Paizo Employee. No anonymity for you!)

Kragrak Backstory/Personality: Kragrak is an oread from southwestern Osirion. He was raised among the insular Pahmet dwarves. As a child, he imagined he would carry on his family's ancestral duties, obeying the Pahmet's complex and secretive codes of behavior. However, he decided that before he could truly accept his family's burdens, he should learn more about what he would be leaving behind. Shortly after he reached the age of dwarven adulthood, he left his family home and headed east. He spent several years working as a desert guide near Sothis. During this time, he enjoyed listening to the tales that travelers from faraway places told around their bonfires. After meeting a retired Pathfinder, Kragrak realized he had found exactly the opportunity he'd been searching for. Kragrak is taciturn, shy, and a bit blunt at times. Even when he doesn't express himself well, though, his heart is usually in the right place. He is afraid of large bodies of moving water, like oceans and rivers. He will do his best to avoid mentioning this to his fellow PCs or letting it get in the way of the mission.
Kragrak Appearance: Kragrak is a bald man of about 4 and a half feet in height, with skin the color of desert sand. He wears green dragonhide armor and a green cape. There are little cutouts on both shoulders of the armor to accommodate the pair of barrel cacti that sprouts from his shoulders.
Oak Sprout: Oak Sprout is a gregarious and at times overconfident leaf leshy. Kragrak created her in the forests at the foothills of the Kortos Mounts three years ago, and she has followed him loyally ever since. She looks like the leaf leshy picture in her avatar, except that she wears an acorn cap on her head in place of an orange peel.
Availability: I should be able to post in the mornings and/or evenings on workdays, with more flexibility on weekends. I can take the occasional break at work to post as well if things are moving along quickly.
If I pretend to be this "Linda" person first and then edit my post to have my real name on it, it puts Developer next to my name. Weird, huh?
Nice problem solving, Sprout! If this works, it means that we can get a header on Castiel!

How will my familiar be handled? I admit I'm a little foggy on their rules.
On its turn, could it perform the Aid Another action to boost Wetbeard's next attack roll? When I make a Perception check, can my familiar make one as well?
So, I had to reread the rules on Tumor Familiars. Here's how I will be handling it in this game.
1) Can it aid another?
Yes, but as a diminutive or tiny creature it will garner an attack of opportunity every time it does so, because it has to enter the enemy's square when it does so.
My bard, Cup, has a tiny mascot familiar named Longjing that has a delusion that it is a dragon. It rushes into battle (mainly so that I can write dice rolls with comment "Parrot to the Face!") Longjing fights defensively and is mage-armored, but he gets knocked unconscious at least once an adventure as bad guys finally hit on their attacks of opportunity.
Does your familiar have any special archetypes I need to know about? I know that Protector is popular with tumor familiars because of the Fast Healing. I've also seen a lot of Valet familiars because they will share teamwork feats with you, and a couple of maulers because, well, mauling.
2) Can it make perception checks?
Absolutely. It can make checks on any skill you have ranks in, but since it cannot talk it won't be able to communicate the results of knowledge rolls well.
If it is going to be an active player with its own personality, consider making a separate avatar for it. I'm not requiring this because it doesn't talk, but still would not mind seeing it.

That would be a Standard Action to remove him, so that's probably out the window. It is the Protector archetype. The Empathic Link Ability of familiars reads that while we can't speak, we can share emotions. I suppose that would allow yes or no questions, with it giving feedback that way? Approval and Frustration, respectively.
I've tossed the idea around of giving it an avatar, but as of now it seems to be strictly an extension of Wetbeard and nothing more.
