Druneor Hammerstriker |

Grabbing one of the last eggs.
I be a bit hungry, anyone mind.
and before anyone can say anything, he munches down the egg.

Helikon |

nothing more than a traveling merchant and tinkerer who
moves from one town to another throughout southern
Numeria.
You get the place where he lives and also his usual asking price
Not only is he established in town as a leading expert on the nature
and function of Numerian technological artifacts, but he also knows how to read the strange language associated
with these items.
He is hunted by the techno league.
He must be very very good, or have an ass up his sleeve

Helikon |

Spending 4 hours gathering informations in town.
After eating the egg Nicolas feels suddenly all his muscles burn like fire. After a few minutes of convulsions he stands up, a lot easier than before, feeling his items weigh less.
+2 Str and from now on you always know the current position of the sun.

Kunala |
whie we were in town gathering information did we collect our reward? Are we still allowed to stay at 'the forge' and is the counsel or Baine putting up a reward to fix the 'torch' or is that no longer our focus, should we finish talking to Baine, meet each other and go see Trett
also Druneor ate an egg

Helikon |

No but the browser ate a perfect post. I already called IT to update mine.
@Durneor starts to shiver and suddenly blood seeps from his pores.
But after a few moments he feels better... faster.
You are always comfortably warm. You gain a +4 racial bonus to resist environmental cold effects. And Dex +2

Druneor Hammerstriker |

Was there writing on the gun, and if so, was it Androffin ?

Druneor Hammerstriker |

Druneor wipes the blood off the outside of his face and hands.
By the maker, that thing was horrid.
He then looks over at Kunala
So Kunala, it looks like we should be looking for this Trett fellow, as these are beyond my knowledge. Maybe he has an idea of what they are.

Kunala |
Kunala nods at Druneor's suggestion and gathering up the items says in his accented lisp "You are correct good Hammerstriker, we know where Trett lives let us go visit Him," Turning to Gin and the others he adds "with your permission we will also stop by the council and collect our reward," So Kunala returns the items to his pack, leaving Mr. Moss on the table, he holsters his pistol, shoulders his shield and heads to the door, waiting momentarily for the new team to gather their gear, he then heads out the door to Trett's establishment.

Druneor Hammerstriker |

Shouldering his pack, Druneor looks over at the others.
I am ready to go now.
Kunala, are you really at 10/26 hp?

Cheliandroshel Daggelorian |

Cheliandroshel sighs and looks resigned to going back out into the sand and dirt, but puts on a satisfied air, gathering up his odd looking bow and travelling pack and slinging them over his shoulder.
"So, do we know what to expect from this Trett person?" He nods to Baine, glad to see the man up and about, and rolls his eyes discreetly at Mouse's proclamation of being ready.

Helikon |

Taking mouser aside Khonnor hands the young man a few scrolls and a few choice words.

Nicolas "Mouse" Lester |

Mouse nods bravely, the light catching on his unusual eyes. The strange material gleams: it almost looks like the young apprentice is tearing up!
"I... Y-yes Master. We will not st-st-str... stray."
At that, the young wizard leaves with the party, clearly struggling not to look back.
I'll take 'Liberating Command' and 'Snowball' for 200, Alex.

Helikon |

It takes the group a few minutes and a round in a pub before you are led to a man in a somewhat surreal surrounding. Living in the poorest parts of torch his house seems to be shabby from the outside but gleaming metal from the inside with many strange items and artifacts. Looking up from a pair of glasses he adresses you.
"Well you searched me. Now you found me. What do you want from me?"

Kunala |
ok this is the man who can give us a few answers Kunala nods to the man in a polite fashion and attempting to deemphasize his accented lisp, desiring to sound intelligent. "I am Kunala and this tall man is Gin, these are our new associates Nicolas, Cheliandroshel and Druneor. We were involved in the rescue of Councilman Baine and believe that we may be able to help relight the torch. While we were in the caves that Baine had been taken into we found these items and we were hoping you could help us identify them." At this Kunala begins to open his pack, looking for a place to set the items he gestures to a spot on a nearby table, gesturing with his hand that direction he asks "May I" as he begins to set the brown strange well rounded gun, two canisters with a strange symbol of 3 quarterdisks, and 2 clear flasks of unknown material with a green liquid inside on the table, "Baine was able to tell us about a couple of items briefly, but these surpassed his great intellect, but we heard that you may be able to assist us where the wizard was unable.
diplomacy: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (2) + 10 = 12
you have got to be kidding me, well maybe we can offer him money.

Druneor Hammerstriker |

Aye, these things are beyond my understanding of engineering. We had heard that you can help
Druneor looks chagrined at having to admit something was outside of his skills, but he gamely follows it up.

Cheliandroshel Daggelorian |

"Nonsense, Druneor, they are not beyond your understanding, simply beyond your experience. I am sure that once we are introduced to what these things are, we will understand them in short order." Chelandrioshel watches over the items eagerly, taking in all of what the man says about them.

Helikon |

Looking at the elf, the man snickers."Are you that sure? Someone not trained and raised to magic will most likely never really understand it. The wonders of mechanical creativity are the same. I spend my whole live exploring them and still there is sooo much I cannot understand. At all. And I know I will never ever!" Looking over the items the mans face starts to lighten up. "Yes, yes I can help you. But how to repay me. Well... first of all. Tell me how you found them."

Kunala |
Kunala smiles and begins to briefly describe the story, his accented lisp becoming more prominent as the story goes. "we volunteered to go look for Baine, we started in the cave attached to the lake, after some interaction with the local cave dwellers we were shown mettle doors, some really weren't there and you could walk through them, some metal doors were there and we had to use these cards to let us in." At this point he holds up a couple of the different cards. "Beyond the metal doors were metal hallways with metal men in them, I think they were called 'robots' one of the metal doors opened into a desert, and we wandered around following tracks. Finally we found a rock wall that was really a door and entered more metal halls, these halls led to metal rooms they were different types of rooms probably for different purposes, there were more of the robot things and a creature with four arms that seemed to be fleeing from a robot. We found Baine in a room with beds and a couple of robots we killed the robots and brought Baine out. This stuff was in one of the rooms near where Baine and the robots were."

Druneor Hammerstriker |

Druneor just listens to the story, so that he can somewhat understand what the maker has in mind for him.

Helikon |

The man listens intently to your story and makes some charming remarks. Offering a few treats and black steamwater Coffee he speaks up.
"I see... Well let us make this simple. I have a little device here, go back, clean everything in this area and point it to each wall, floor and roof and come back. See, it can paint pictures in no time. Having done that, and offering me first chance to buy those items you do not want and you have paid me."

Kunala |
Kunala nods and listens as the man speaks, looking at his companions he finally turns and answers in his accented lisp. "I see no reason that you should not be allowed to purchase the items first. So we go back to each area, do you want images of the natural area also, or just the metal walled areas? I assume if we explore any new areas you want images of them as well? And that will help identify anything we find in those new areas, right? How long will it take you to identify these items we have here, will we be able to use them when we got back or will it take longer to unlock their secrets?"

Nicolas "Mouse" Lester |

Hands wrapped around a large mug of the black steamwater, Mouse listens eagerly to Trett and Kunala's conversation; nodding along as they reach an agreement.
"C-clean?" asks the jittery young wizard towards the end, "Uh, h...h-how clean are w-w-we talking here? Sp...sp-spotless?"

Druneor Hammerstriker |

Gathering up the instrument, Druneor gets ready to leave with the rest, and then pauses for a second.
So just to confirm, we set it up, and it automatically looks at things, or is there something we have to do to get it to run?

Helikon |

Looking at the items Sanvil picks out the vials and carefully inspects them, licking them very very carefully before putting them aside and speaking."I can tell you that the box is an scanner, checking for poisonious auras. It is called the wasting disease, and healing it is EXTREMLY complicated. This box will tell you very much ahead when you come closer. BEWARE of those items infected by the aura.
The injector, it looks like a gun with a needle gives you the ability to inject others with potions, elexiers and before you ask, yes poisons. It is very much easier than, for example, a dagger. Touch AC. Those vials can be loaded into the injector. I am not sure what they contain, I GUESS a healing potion, but I have to wait till tonight to check it. The other gun like item is a paralyzer. You shoot someone and he becomes paralyzed. It will work neither on the unliving, nor on robots."

Druneor Hammerstriker |

Well, don't point it at me, while you try to figure it out.
Druneor grins at Kunala.

Kunala |
A battery, is that the ammunition ? Looking at the pistol he tucks it in his belt and asks in his accented lisp "Well I hope you have those for sale or can reload this one. Because it looks like were are doing business!" Kunala turns to the team and asks "Do we have any more questions for our new business partner? Or are we ready to go see the council briefly. Also I heard that the local junk man had an odd piece of equipment that we may want to check out. Then if we don't need to purchase anything we can head back to the caves!
Helikon do you want to role play going to the council and collecting the money/raise dead scroll, or hand wave it? Are there any other jobs the council wants done? ie. turn the torch back on. I'm assuming a 1,000 gp. each for Kunala and Gin the rest can be "sent" to our past companions.

Druneor Hammerstriker |

Druneor comments with a grin.
What is wrong with caves. I think some of them are positively homey.
Edit, so what you are saying is that us new people will have 500 gp to spend ?

Kunala |
Garritt the Junkmaster found something a few weeks ago that lit up his shack like a second torch. He’s been real quietlately. Wonder what he’s hiding in that junkyard
this is a rumor that we heard earlier, can we speak to this guy before going into the cave, and does anyone need to purchase anything now?
well if they are giving out extra money how much will they give after we reignite the torch As they leave the town hall Kunala asks the team in his accented lisp "We heard that Garritt the Junkmaster was hiding something at the junkyard, shall we go check it out? Without waiting for and answer, Kunala leads the team to the junkyard, and approaching the building there, Kunala knocks on the door.
