Gin looks back up from his bow and does so to Elasbeth, before sheathing his larger bastard sword for a More conventional one. He walks northward again trying to be more careful but agitated at his own failure... somewhat mitigated by Miniri's acceptance of his failure.

Perception: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (17) + 6 = 23


Moving closer you are pretty sure no traps are here. But you can see one of those gremlins darting away as soon as you enter the cave,

Is this the right direction? Or are we circling around? Becaus Gin was going northward and would check both pathways. Either way do I take the -2 with a normal bastard sword as well? And which direction did the Gremlin go?


Well I have 2 options. I am at work. I know whats in those rooms. Or I have to say well wait till tonight and I am at home and can check whats going on. If you want to go right thats fine but then I have to ask you to wait till tonight till I can continue. I can improvise with the little rooms.

Doesnt make much a difference because the game wont go any faster than the players involved. So unless everyone suddenly posts an egregious amount you'll most likely e able to get home and look it up later.. Just assume Gin follows after this Gremlin too

Helikon would this happen to be one of the caves back that general direction? I'm thinking that if the humanoids pointed us the way we were going, and Kunala had been in that area before, he would figure just to keep following the gremlin. Just an idea.

You come into a cave filled with little scrapmetal. You have no idea how to navigate, but 2 of those gremlins are standing there with a very cleverly designed ballista. With a zing a bolt races toward you.attack: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (4) + 2 = 64d4 ⇒ (3, 3, 1, 2) = 91d20 ⇒ 19 Who was first? The whole area is considered difficult terrain.

Kunala is firing at the same gremlin that Miniri had, presumably the one not mangled by Gin :)

As Gin kills the first of the beasts the other looks at him and getting into a manical laughter, laughing about the gruesome death of his fellow. But his laughter is cut short when an arrow and a bullet strike him, killing it on the spot.

You would say it is a clever construction, wicked in its ease. But you have not one clue, why it works. You would say that it should break any second.
Kunala moves a bit closer to the tunnel to have a peak. First he does not notice anything badly but the moment he moves his foot he can hear a loud ..click. From the ceiling a metal rod, sharpened comes down.
Trap: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (11) + 10 = 211d8 + 4 ⇒ (6) + 4 = 10 Looking down in his body Kunala can see the rod embedded in his breast.

If she sees an easy way to disable it, Elasbeth will do so.
Perception to see Kunala injured badly if needed.: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (12) + 2 = 14

If I notice:
Elasbeth suddenly stops examining the ballista when she realizes Kunala has bee badly hurt. She goes over to him, by the safest route possible, and kneels to pull him back into the room gently. She looks to the nearest party member and waves them over, when I say now, pull the rod out so I can heal him."[/b] She prepares to cast a healing spell unless someone produces a potion.

Otherwise she just keeps working on disabling the ballista.

I assume Kunala is hit.
@Tamoq there was no trap on the way to the cave, just one from. The other perception checks were not good enough to detect it.

Gin looks surprised, not being the one impaled and moves to Kunala. " Don't worry Kunara-san, this will only hurt alotu " As he unceremoniously rip the Spike out so that the wound could be treated.

Slightly startled at Gin's sudden pulling of the rod, Elasbeth saves her annoyance for later. Her eyes begin to glow white-gold and the color appears around her hands as well. She touches the area around the wound and his flesh begins to knit closed.

Miniri also takes a passing look at the ballista, but loses interest when she realizes that it is modern and that Elasbeth has it under control. Seeing the gunslinger set off a trap she again looks around for further ones before moving further.

@Elasbeth after a few moments and gentle prodding here and there you come to a very simple solution. Whoever made this one is mad.

are we placed OK on the map?

can we see our antagonist?

Yeah I was confused as we dont see anything as of yet so we wouldnt know about the aura until something happened.

Gin will look around for any loot and then If he doesnt see anything, decide they had finished their job and that it was time to leave.

Basically if they arent attacking and we somehow cant notice the effect then there is no reason to be here as nothing is happening

Well you see a door at the other side. And you do notice. You just do not know why. You slip somehow, things that should work easely somehow do not work well.
Perc 10 you feel watched. 15 you hear something. 20 you see a shadow. at the south east corner.
