These are three aquatic lamiae; they appear as centauroid, beautiful women with the aft quarters of seacats, though with fore and rear legs like a lion. They scream and leap, lunging from the water in a furious wave like some savage, bladed tide.
They are in mail shirts, bearing falchions, two attack Stiggy and one attacks Gittik...
One hits Stiggy for 12 h.p. in damage, one completely misses Stiggy, and one misses Gittik; note that they all swing the falchions twice in a round....

Riese chants "Annelida Pyrrok Olig'chata!!" dropping a Bright Worms at the intersection of K-L, 5-6, its a 20'radius spread and everyone that is my enemy in it takes 2d6=7 fire damage, dc21 reflex for half. This effect lasts for 9 rounds doing 2d6 damage to every baddie in the area every round.
Wormlike tendrils of flame infest the area only striking Riese's enemies....
In answer to Oso's question; yes, the hit chance is a given. Every hit has a 20% miss chance, unaffected by the fort save.

Yes; Stig's first hit misses. His second one throttles his foe, almost dividing the human part from the monster part, but the vile vixen fights on.
Riese's fireworms affect them all; their feet burn and they scream pumalike screams.
Gittik, Altai, Beldan, Elgan left it looks like.

a fact that is in evidence as the lamia facing gittik misses him both times.
The two facing Stiggy both hit once with falchions; Stigg gets 20 h.p. subtracted as his blood pours onto the water.
Riese's glowworms suddenly disappear.

Oh, and I rolled Gittik's miss %; he hit the last few times; the first and fumble were misses and the lamia is gashed up by the pint-sized berserk hobbit going psycho spider monkey on her ass.
And the viper tree is ambling towards you still.....160 feet away.
Oh and finally,.....(I've been out of it a while)....

Nobody has to save from puking any more though. Just 20% miss chance every attack.
There's two.
One is fighting stig; one is fighting gittik.
Stig is fighting two of them, but he is aided by elgan and oso's pretty near; gittik's fighting alone, though he's right next to elgan so he's not exactly like that viking champion at Stamford Bridge or nothing.
Altai scans the battlefield; suddenly, his face lights up as an idea comes to him. Wiping vomit out of his beard, he stumbles into the surf while mumbling arcane gibberish.
Heathy:
Two lightning bolts arc in a t shape from pip's gun and altai's magicks.
The Lamia facing Gittik falls dead, as it took two blasts.
The other two look really bad off. Their hair stands on end, and tiny Jacob's Ladders still dance in their manes.
Oh and Pip has gotten the hang of the lightning gun now; I'll say he don't need a UMD no more's.
