If you grew up in Gainesville Fl, you had to hear him on the radio once an hour.
The group is, oddly, unmolested the rest of the night.....the black cat sneaks away, and in the morning the blizzard clears up enough to see somewhat, and to trundle forth after their new friends the trolls.
After two hour's march through the snow, the forest reaches gentle hills, and beyond that can be seen the edge of a mountain range that dips down from the north.
The group can also see, at the southern edge where the peaks begin, a waterfall that plunges a good 200 feet. Steam rises from where the water plummets; a river can be made out winding away from the mountain, south and east towards the Iving.
arritee....the scry has been done; the group is on the way to a date with three troll wizards.....
Do you guys head for the waterfall?
Setup essentially is this: there's supposedly a staircase up, behind the waterfall, to a mountain valley where the trolls live....two ways in: or maybe three:......

you approach the waterfall. It's recessed somewhat from the foot of some pretty steep peaks wrapping up around the lake at the bottom of the falls on the left and the right like a horseshoe sorta. Along the left, there's a trail cut in at the bottom of the peak, it's hard to tell how far above the lake it is because the water is hot and foggy mist occludes the whole area. Reaching the trail, you can see that it leads to a covered bridge made of stone, that seems to plunge straight into the waterfall.

You guys get up to the front of the covered bridge, that plunges into the falls.....the rest of the group is a ways back. The stealthies are up front at the bridge.....
The spray from the falls is so warm. So inviting.
Vilya's hands, little female human hands with reduced peripheral circulation.......don't feel like icy cold anymore.
