Male Human Wizard 17 (Conjuration specialist)

Altai nods at the big northerner's story. "Let's get this wheel back on your carriage. If we get a pulley rigged in those tall branches, you and Stig can pull the wagon up high enough to put the heel back on. That way, everyone should be happy."

I AM THE LORD OF ALL HELLFIRE!!!!!

(lol)
I saw "death-lok's" pbp title; thought it said "Deathklok."

<Pulls another flask out of his backpack and resumes intoxicating himself.>

"Beard of Utgard Loki, dwarf!" the northman booms; "do you even get out of bed in the morning ere you go to saucing yourself?!?!"

He flexes his massive biceps; "wee my ass!!! I could rip a gorgon's horns slap the f&!$ off his head!!!"

Aduro speaks; "who's up for a climb?"

skills or strength rolls or whatever; gotta go to sleep; mayhap let somebody else pop off a bit too if they want.

I AM THE LORD OF ALL HELLFIRE!!!!!

Oh; I'm on call all weekend; so I might or might not necessarily be around(?)

Beldan sidles close to Altai. “Psst, hey Altai, how do you know he’s, you know,” the thief makes a sort of effeminate hand gesture, “Fruitsy? Better not say it too loud though, he said he likes women, he might be in denial …

“It’d be fun if Stiggy did it … but I guess I’ll give it a go if you want …” Climb: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (1) + 12 = 13

Strength: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (14) + 7 = 21

<Stig half-heatedly yanks the wagon up.>

I AM THE LORD OF ALL HELLFIRE!!!!!

A-J top; 1-16 side;

the trail is 20 feet wide, d-g; 1-15 and continues on off the map.

The horses are g-h 3-6.

Bel's up a tree 30 feet up, at h10, seeing that the pulley works;
stiggy's heaving at i8,
ottars at h7; both of them are heaving the rope.

f-g 11-13 is the wagon.

guys at e11, f11 under the wagon, d9, and Aduro's at j9 giving ottar encouragement.

There's a massive earthshaking rumbling that can be felt;
I need a position for Altai, Gittik, Oso, Pip and Elgan.

and.....I just got called in; be gone for like....5-6 hours prolly. If anyone has any conversational additions/questions for the npc's feel free to let me know.

I AM THE LORD OF ALL HELLFIRE!!!!!

I'm gonna be here at work all damn day.....don't go looking for the heathmeister any time soon.

I AM THE LORD OF ALL HELLFIRE!!!!!

ogay....I'm back. Sheeeesh!

Male Human Wizard 17 (Conjuration specialist)

Altai's kneeling in E6 watchng the lifting.

"Huh? Get out from underneath the wagon now!!"

Male Human Rogue 14

“Whoa – what was that?!”

I AM THE LORD OF ALL HELLFIRE!!!!!

Just waiting on positions for Elgan, Gittik, Pip, and Oso...

I guess I can't just let go of the rope... right?

I AM THE LORD OF ALL HELLFIRE!!!!!

........the guy under there pushing the stove'll get out of the way. Maybe...

It's rumbling bad.
Might be an earthquake.

It makes Stiggy want to barf even more than hoisting the wagon does.

E7.

Barbarian (berserker) 3; Init +1; AC18; Hp 36/41; Saves Str +5, Con +7; Passive Perception 9

Oso stands near the wagon guys just in case they get into trouble and need healing. He pulls out a wand of healing, no faith in anyone's wagon engineering skills.

D12

Bard 8/ Troubadour of Stars 9 Epic Shredder

Pip hangs by his sword-swinging clerical pal. He begins to play a tune.

D11, starting up the +2 ATK/DAM/FEAR/CHARM inspire courage

"Ohh mama mama
Whole lotta shakin' goin on ..."

I AM THE LORD OF ALL HELLFIRE!!!!!

Right on; it's been 24 hours; if somebody wants to place Elgan we can roll.

dungeonmaster heathy wrote:

<Looks at the grouns and blinks.>

"Main be th' rum."

Male Wild Elf Druid 16 (Shifter version, PHBII)

Sorry. Next to Altai, watching all of this new-fangled 'science' stuff with pulleys and angles and what-not.

"Whoa. Ah ain't felt deh earth muv lahk dat since,... Hm. Ay ain't neveer felt dah earth muv lahk dat!"

I AM THE LORD OF ALL HELLFIRE!!!!!

Elgan's in D6.

The ground shakes like all mad hell.

It erupts under Altai, under the horses; a mouth big enough to swallow the wagon;

(Altai is in D7 now. Reflex save d.c. 20 or he's prone in D7 now.)

the mouth is attached to some gigantic shark mated to an armadillo; a bullette; the biggest bullette anyone has ever seen or even heard of.
The bullette is in e-h 3-6 now; it's eaten 3 of the draft horses. The third one makes a beeline south back to Cauldron.

Initiative.

Beat a 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (14) + 1 = 15

Male Human Wizard 17 (Conjuration specialist)

Rolled a 1 on the Reflex, so I'm eating dirt. Initiative base 13, so most of us beat it, though Stiggy does not.

Male Human Rogue 14

Bel’s up in a tree – does he need to make any checks to stay in there? He’s probably hanging on for grim life at the moment, but he’ll need to free up both hands to load and fire his crossbow.

Beldan Vale wrote:

Yeah; he can fire. It's cool.

Male Human Wizard 17 (Conjuration specialist)

So our initiative is:
Most of us
Bulettezilla
Stig
Red sweater dudes?

I AM THE LORD OF ALL HELLFIRE!!!!!

most of them are standing and staring in awe, or losing control of their bodily functions.
Not Ottar, though. He's a Frutzii.

Male Human Rogue 14

Beldan rapid loads his crossbow, gripping the broad tree limb with his knees, and takes a couple of pot-shots down at the land shark, hoping he is catching it off guard.

Attack 1: 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (11) + 14 = 25 damage:1d8 ⇒ 7
Attack 2: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (1) + 9 = 10 damage:1d8 ⇒ 4
If sneak attack applies: 5d6 ⇒ (5, 5, 3, 1, 5) = 19, 5d6 ⇒ (2, 4, 3, 6, 4) = 19

I AM THE LORD OF ALL HELLFIRE!!!!!

The first of Beldan's shots hits it in the eyeball; sneak attack and whatnot. It's mad now.
The second one glances off of it's thick armor.

Male Human Wizard 17 (Conjuration specialist)

After one look at the rampaging monster, Altai decides to get the hell out of harm's way. With a quick gesture, he disappears and then pops back into existence a little further down the road.

I'm using my Dimensional step special ability to get out from underneath the bulette. My new position is E13, where I use my standard action to stand up.

dungeonmaster heathy wrote:

<Stig barfs.>

"Criminey. Wa diz thes aye happen when aam blooter'd?"

Male Human Rogue 14

“Yeah, what an amazing coincidence that is,” mutters Beldan, reloading his crossbow.

Oso runs forwards next to Gittik, then he carefully watches the beast as he calls on Kelanen's magical aid.

Casting on the defensive 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (15) + 13 = 28, casting Bestow Curse

"Lose your speed, lose your power, do not fight, flee or die. You have some horses let that be enough."

Melee touch 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (12) + 9 = 21, -6 to Dexterity, that may mean Stig can also act before the beast...should be easier to hit folks. Oso is at D7.

Bard 8/ Troubadour of Stars 9 Epic Shredder

Pip runs up with Oso, strumming furiously

"Shark, shark, shark attack!
This shark is like a maniac!"

Casting Haste on the crew then resuming my +2 inspiring courage thingie ..

Male Wild Elf Druid 16 (Shifter version, PHBII)

Caught by surprise, Elgan instinctively shifts into a Dire Wolf as the ginormous creature explodes out of the ground. As it crashes back onto the earth, the Druid is already flailing away at it, his adrenaline assisted by the timely aid of the diminutive bard's song of speed.

Bite/Paw/Paw/Hasted Bite. Includes bonuses from bard inspire courage:

1d20 + 14 ⇒ (4) + 14 = 181d8 + 11 ⇒ (6) + 11 = 171d20 + 10 ⇒ (9) + 10 = 191d6 + 11 ⇒ (2) + 11 = 131d20 + 11 ⇒ (2) + 11 = 131d6 + 11 ⇒ (2) + 11 = 131d20 + 14 ⇒ (19) + 14 = 331d8 + 11 ⇒ (3) + 11 = 14

Edit- Looks like maybe that last bite got in? ;)

Altai's able to "bamf" away, no problemmo.

I figured out the bulette's square of approach before you guys posted positions........I saw Altai there and said, "oh no...."

Yah; the last one got in.

Tastes like a cross between turtle and scallops. And clam shell. Lotsa clam shell.

And......Gittik's up to bat, he is aye....

Is it the grognard in me, or does bulette hide make a good magical armor?

Well, been two days; somebody wanna attack for Gittik?

Grand Lodge

Male Human Expert 5

"Ha! Bug...lizard...fish...uh...thing! Yes! Me kill you, make you into nice present for Jane! HAAAAAAHHH!!!"

Rage on! 5's step to F7, knives flashing: RH Attack 1: 10+20+2(bard)+1(Haste)=AC 33, damage 2+9+2(bard)=13,
RH Attack 2: 6+20+2(bard)+1(Haste)=AC 28, damage 2+9+2(bard)=13,
RH Attack 3 (haste): 15+20+2(bard)+1(Haste)=AC 37, crit confirm 11+20+2+1=AC 34, damage 3+9+2(bard)=14x2=28,
LH Attack 1: 12+18+2(bard)+1(Haste)=AC 33, damage 2+4+2=8+4 electricity,
LH Attack 2: 10+18+2(bard)+1(Haste)=AC 30, damage 1+4+2=7+5 electricity.

The 5' step is to avoid Cleaving - this way, nobody's next to anyone else. And, damn, that bulette is big! And, um, it is its turn. :/

I AM THE LORD OF ALL HELLFIRE!!!!!

Damn you! Stealing my cleavage!

Gittik wails on the landshark; all hits hit; digging hard into it's flank, it's bleeding and wailing now.

I AM THE LORD OF ALL HELLFIRE!!!!!

The massive bullette retorts; attacking with two massive claws and a bite. The bite hits for 34 in damage; one of the claws does 36 for a total of 70 h.p. in damage to the berserking hobnizgobliz.

Stiggy's up.
The guy under the wagon thinks better of it; rolls out on the other side. Four of the guys seem to be retreating south; pulling crossbows; they've gotten far far away.

Ottar says, "bump this! Let's go get that bastard, Stiggy!"

He lets go the rope; it's real heavy now;
five foots it to i6 pulling his greataxe and laying into the bulette...
14 h.p. in damage to the gargantuan thing.

Stiggy's up, everybody's up; Stiggy's first but I don't see the point of waiting on protocol if somebody else has a move ready....huzzah!!!
